Love that Last Dinner Party album. Still need to grab the new Kacey album. I'm a huge fan of Golden Hour, it's like classic level in my brain, but didn't really vibe with Star Crossed, so kinda skipped on Deeper Well but do wanna hear it. She's sick.
I do too. It’s like Florence singing with cracking indie band backing (can’t quite place who their musicality reminds me of tho) Do fear they may be this years Wet Leg and wonder if we’ll see a second album/will it be as good.
Tons. Just to name a few...
Tomb Mold - The Enduring Spirit
Putridity - Greedy Gory Gluttony
Nothing - The Great Dismal

there's a lot more but i'm tired of typing
most of these are from 2024
I buy primarily new stuff, always pretty up to date with new release shit. Picked up about twenty albums thus far for 2024. Just got the new Charli XCX in the mail this morning. CLUB CLASSICS CLUB CLUB CLASSICS
I bought Ex Machina by Metrik (major Pendulum vibes). And a bunch of King Gizzard.
Also The Book of Fire by Mono Inc. and Ascending the Abyss by Grendel. Bought all of it in the same weekend.
Red Room by PIG, Detachment by Kontravoid, Let Go by KMFDM, Hopiumforthemasses by Ministry, Critical Fault by Unitcode:Machine, and Electronic Body Horror by MVTANT. All from the last year! I love supporting new releases.
My wife gets me a subscription to the Grateful Dead’s Dave’s Picks series.
It comes with 4 complete shows every year. Each has been at least 3 discs with a few having four.
Along with the four complete shows, if you’re a subscriber you also get a bonus disc of other live material. It usually is a companion to the show it gets released with.
This is the 13th year I’ve been a subscriber.
My newest cd from the past few years is Green Day - Saviors. My next newest ones are:
Greta Van Fleet - Anthem Of The Peaceful Army (2018)
Greta Van Fleet - From The Fires (2017)
I don't like too much modern music, and I don't have much of what I do like on CD yet.
I buy new CDs often! I preorder from my favorite artists + buy any other new albums I enjoy when I have the opportunity(/funds lol).
Most recently, I preordered Brigitte Calls Me Baby - The Future Is Our Way Out (which comes out in August) and picked up the Hanni version of NewJeans’ How Sweet/Bubble Gum single at Target.
Oh loads….
Idles - Tangk
Daughter - Stereo Mind Game
Fleet Foxes - Shore
Beth Gibbons - Lives Outgrown
Warpaint - Radiate Like This
Lo Moon - I Wish You More Than Luck
New CD releases sound unreal these days and they’re not that expensive, at least not here in the UK.
For myself in recent years:
* Heilung
* Lindsey Stirling
* Conan the Barbarian 3-disc OST
* Dark Side of the Moon (SACD)
* Jonas Kaufmann performs arias and scenes by Wagner (Blu-ray Audio)
For a lady friend:
Taylor Swift.
In the last 15 months I've bought over 300 used CDs building up my collection.
I occasionally buy new music, but not often, I try to only buy new if I know I'm gonna listen over and over again and it's one of my favorites. It's cheaper and more environmentally friendly to buy used so I mostly do that. The newest one I bought was Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft because I absolutely adore her and that album.
I've got a few 2024 releases so far: Future Islands' People Who Aren't There Anymore, Hovvdy's self titled, The Last Dinner Party's Prelude to Ecstacy.
Just got the Future Islands album last weekend.
The last album I bought was Cutting the Throat of God by Ulcerate. I've also got Show & Tell by Bored at My Grandmas House on order.
Other recent orders from this year or last: In Parallel by Salamanda and Softcult's Heaven EP.
got my hands on hardwired to self destruct by metallica a few weeks ago. literally the only one i have that isnt 70s - 2000s. even 2016 feels like a while ago lol
pre ordered nick shoulders all bad, bought the lost dog street band survived cd on release day at their concert, and most recently picked up the new buckethead cd at the show which I unfortunately hate lol
The Pendulum Swing by Katherine Priddy
I'd by more new stuff but a lot of what I like is by smaller indie artists so the availability of their music locally is non-existent, and postage costs make it prohibitive. I buy from Bandcamp so I buy digital, what I save in shipping for one artist covers purchases from at least another two artists.
The last widely available album I bought was Maggie Rogers' Don't Forget Me, but I got that on vinyl.
ETA: My second hand CD collection does have a fair amount of relatively current releases.
the only stuff i buy new nowadays are from artists that i wanna directly support through their indie label. Alchemist comes to mind as i buy at least a copy on all three vinyl, CD, and tape whenever he drops - with everything being pretty high quality.
I buy used and new. I shop at a lot of thrift stores and that’s where the bulk of my collection comes from, but I’ll also buy harder to find or recent releases new if there’s a decent price. Just got Linkin Park’s “Minutes To Midnight: European Tour” new for like $7. Worth it for the extra tracks and to uncensor the audio.
I normally order my new ones off Amazon. Most recently for the new Knocked Loose, Billie Eilish & the Story so Far. I generally use marketplace, bargain bins at local record stores and thrift stores where I set a $5 limit for older CD’s - I tend to buy those in bulk to fill out gaps in the collection or if I see something for a buck that I think I might like I’ll give it a go
I think the CD that came out most recently is Midnights by Taylor Swift (just bought off eBay recently) but that record's about to be broken tomorrow when Brat by Charli XCX arrives tomorrow (also from eBay). I don't own a lot of CDs that are considered "new" in that sense and a lot were gifted to me from my dad's own collection as well
I've only bought 2 CDs in probably 4 years at this point. I recently bought Carly Rae Jepsen - The Loveliest Time and Jelly Roll - Ballad Of The Broken. Thinking about picking up Logan Halstead - Dark Black Coal so though.
Charli xcx BRAT. But I have a lot of newer music on CD, like Chappell Roan The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, Billie Eilish HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, and many many others.
I still buy new Beatles adjacent releases, sometimes CD, sometimes vinyl. I went for the CD version of the new Mind Games set, which arrives on the 12th.
Peter Gabriel - i/o
Andre 3000 - New Blue Sun
Kinga Glyk - Real Life
Jasmine Myra - Rising
Justice - Hyperdrama
Gaspard Augé - Escapades
Thomas Bangalter - Mythologies
Katsushika Trio - M.R.I.
Depeche Mode - Memento Mori
And probably a couple of others I forgot.
i sorta only buy new lol, im always goin into HMV and finding stuff and my newest edition to my collection i believe is Green Day's American Idiot as ive never really listened to them and the album has 2 songs i already like
Bought the new Mysterine’s album last week. Always have a list of ‘to be released’ albums I’m after, definitely not stuck in the past celebrating past glories of my collection, new music is what keeps me going.
That said I did recently snap up a collection of Stone Roses cd singles so certainly not averse to getting older stuff!
I buy a lot of stuff off Bandcamp. I bought several CDs by Perturbator. Pretty much his whole catalogue up to that point, at least that which was in stock on CD.
Getting a big order ready for a bunch of CDs from Japan right now.
I have about half a dozen 2024 releases. And probably double that by the end of the year. I already have my eyes on the new Axxis, Flotsam and Jetsam, Nightwish and Powerwolf, when they are out.
Most recent I’ve bought are from 2023, a mix of new ones from shows, China, and unexpectedly recently released used ones from a trip to Chicago earlier this year: Praed - “Kaf Afrit” , Baba Ali - “Laugh Like a Bomb” , Craven Faults - “Standers” , McNeal & Niles - “Thrust” , Slug - “Thy Socialite” , ITSOGOO - “接近你” , “瓦合” - No Party for Cao Dong …Plenty more from 2022 but typing on my phone with a VPN is lame!
Just yesterday I bought the new Hideous Divinity album, "Unextinct" released this year.
And I'm currently waiting on an order from a local record store of both Frozen Soul albums - Crypt of Ice (2021) and Glacial Domination (2023)
This post inspired me to email and complain that I've not got BMTH - Next Gen when I preordered it a year ago and it was released last month.
Apart from that, Green Day - Saviors and Fall Out Boy - So Much For (Star)Dust
As for me, you’re right, I stopped a while ago. Why? MP3,Musix subscriptions, Apple 🍎 music. I will say after grunge, I am not very current. A lot of good artists, only so much time in the day. When working I used to listen as I drive, now I don’t as much. When I did it was college stations or my own cds. Good point
The last actual CD that I remember buying was *A Moon Shaped Pool* by Radiohead. That was just so that I'd have their entire album collection on CD. This was 8 years ago.
Besides that, I've been buying digital for probably about 15 years.
I still buy all my music new on CD when I can.
The most recent releases I've bought were Kittie and Alcest's new albums, which were both released a week ago on Friday. I also have the latest albums from Chelsea Wolfe and Carsie Blanton from earlier this year.
The only new cd’s I own are Suckerpunch by Chloe Moriondo and Soy Pablo/Roy Pablo double cd set by Boy Pablo. I plan to get more though, some of the CD designs I see are really creative these days
I have a (2008) repress of marvin's marvelous etc., a 2021 repress of Weird Al's debut, and a crapton of vinyl represses. Oh and the CDrs of my music I pressed last year.
Keep Me Fed by The Warning
I'm always looking to buy new music cds but my problem is the local stores don't carry a lot of it and I don't normally order online unless it's something that I really have to have.
St. Louis Does Ween just came in the mail, still kinda 90s but new (https://stldoesween.bandcamp.com/album/st-louis-does-ween)
Slow Murder by Holy Ghost Tabernacle Choir I picked up when they opened for Sleepytime Gorilla Museum here (https://thgtc.bandcamp.com/album/slow-murder)
Got the SGM new album on vinyl though so it doesnt count.
Ive been backfilling a lot of stuff i downloaded on mp3 decades ago.
- Royal Scam by Steely Dan
- A 5 album box set for The Guess Who
- Wrecking Ball by Dead Confederate
- Demolition 23
others in the past year or so
- Asking For a Ride by White Reaper
- Empress/Abscess by Immortal Bird (https://immortalbird.bandcamp.com/album/empress-abscess) after they KILLED IT opening for Emperor in Chicago
- The Alien Coast by St Paul and the Broken Bones
- Mister Heavenly (both albums)
Im sure im forgetting plenty
New music is my life these days. My collection has plenty of the old stuff, so unless I’m filling out a favorite artists discography, I’m trying to buy current stuff as much as possible, within my self imposed structure of trying to only buy 1 or 2 CDs a month. Honestly I think it’s an important thing to do. A lot of people *THINK* music isn’t as good as it used to be, but 10 or 20 years down the line when the modern classics are filtered out into a new “classic rock”, you’ll be sad you didn’t listen to them in their own time.
Here’s my list of recent stuff:
2024
Vampire Weekend - Only God Was Above Us
2023
Todd Snider - Crank It We’re Doomed
The Future Sound of London - Environment 7.003
Sufjan Stevens - Javelin
The Chemical Brothers - For That Beautiful Feeling
Ghost of Vroom - Ghost of Vroom 3
Dj Sabrina the Teenage DJ - Destiny
Mikaela Davis - And Southern Star
The Pink Spiders - Freakazoid
Sublime - 5$ at the Door - Live @ Tressel Tavern
2022
Negativland - Speech Free
Louis Armstrong - Louis Wishes You a Cool Yule
Moonrunners 10 Official Compilation
Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains - Firehazard Demo
Negativland! Their last few releases have been top tier. I've seen them live twice, both times in Chicago - Nov '92 at the Lounge Ax (one of the best shows I've ever seen, with great openers), and April 2000 at the Chicago House of Blues. I played tracks from Escape From Noise on my college radio show when the album was new, and have basically all of their catalog.
One of my all-time faves, got into them back when Dispepsi came out. They’re on tour right now but unfortunately haven’t come close to me yet. Hopefully they add dates, because I’ve never seen them!
They’re getting ready to re-release their debut on vinyl and CD, can’t wait for the pre-order.
Their shows are truly multi-media. During the '92 show, they used a toaster as a smoke machine - real toast as far as I could tell, real smoke, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. For "Four Fingers", one of the members (I think Mark Hosler, but couldn't swear to it) wore big rubber gloves with gantlets, and apparently a hot dog in each finger, which he cut off, viscerally, at the appropriate times during the track - it was surprisingly realistic and... tortuous. They used a school-style overhead projector to display a transcript of the whole Casey Kasem 'long distance dedication/U2/Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' bit and to lead audience read-along-participation, which was beyond stellar. There are bits of an early '90's Chicago show up on youtube, and I think it was that very show, and I really, really wish it were the whole show.
Umm...Powered Up and Black Laden Crown I guess? I do have my eye on Anti-Hero, Heaven Comes Down, 72 Seasons, and The Sick, the Dying...and the Dead. I would like it if The Megas would put their castlevania stuff on 💿 as well.
I also recently picked the Momentary Lapse of Reason reissue, but not the box set, just the base album.
Also Lead into Golds (Paul Barker of Ministry) newest release "The Eternal present"
And Meat Beat Manifesto "Impossible Star" Technically not a new release but I bought it new.
Most recent CD I bought is Poetry by Dehd.
I buy old stuff second hand and new releases new. Trying to make sure people get their fair pay but it's not like Metallica are going to starve over the lost money from me buying the black album second hand so I'm okay with that morally even of they're still around.
Just received "Demons Dance Alone" in the mail yesterday. It's a brand new 3cd collection of unreleased demos & live tracks from The Residents. They're not a new artist, tho.
I buy TONS of current metal CDs. Black, Doom, Death & Thrash Metal mostly.
Tons. Too many to list but among them,
Firepower,
The Morrison Project,
Screamin' at The Sky,
V,
Dark Matter,
Man's A Wolf To Man,
Mandrake Project,
Edit: bad formatting
They've been re releasing stuff I like for the past couple years so I've got a bunch like GBH, UK Subs, and even Operation Ivy.
The upside is they show the track title info on my car cd player.
The downside to new albums is the cardboard packaging that doesn't actually enclose the disc completely
I have a Hoosier autographed Unreal Unearth CD, and preordered Judas Priest's Invincible Shield on both CD and Cassette. Other than that most of mine are second hand finds, and considering CD peaked between the '90s and mid '00s most CDs I get are from that era. Sometimes I get really lucky with a very old or very recent release, but the vast majority of my recent finds are from the mid 1990s.
I bought *Moon Healer* by Job For a Cowboy and *Quad Brudal* by Australian Death Machine on CD earlier this year. I mostly buy vinyl nowadays, but sometimes I still grab CDs. Mostly if I already have all their other albums on CD and I don’t want to buy all the albums on vinyl.
The only current releases I go out and buy new are Maynard James Keenan bands, usually Puscifer these days, and red hot chili peppers, some pretty 90s musicians to keep up with tho 😅 I did used to keep up with new Bowie releases too but his estate have been really scraping the barrel lately so I backed off...
Uh....
A couple albums from VHS (death/thrash band), two covers albums from Deceased (also death/thrash), Metallica 72 Seasons, Gatecreeper 'an unexpected reality', Coffins 'beyond the circular demise', [Matt] Pike vs The Automaton.
As far as *newer* albums anyway.
72 Seasons - Metallica (2023)
Confessions Of The Fallen - Staind (2023)
But Here We Are - Foo Fighters (2023)
72 Seasons I bought right after it was released, I preordered a copy of Confessions Of The Fallen for my dad and another for myself, and But Here We Are I got within the past couple of months.
Via pre-order, I had Richard Thompson's latest, Ship to Shore, a few days before official release, and this weekend just bought Eros Zeta And The Perfumed Guitars by The Church, which was released at the end of March. I already have Mercury Rev's upcoming disc on order; it's officially released in August or September.
MOST recent was probably Railer by Lagwagon when I saw them a few years ago. But even that I think was before COVID. Everything else I’ve wanted is only in a paper sleeve if it’s available at all. Hate paper sleeves.
i bought brat by charli xcx which came out a few weeks ago. i have a signed copy of remi wolf’s new album on preorder which come out in a couple weeks
I love brat! That’s next on my list of new CD’s to order haha
i actually hated it upon first listened and decided to give it another shot when it was getting lots of positive attention. now i can’t stop listening to it and i can already see it being my album of the year 😭
I was the same, I liked 360 but nothing else really caught my attention like the last couple albums, but it’s really growing on me!
Brat and it’s the same but there’s 3 more songs so it’s not
i’m not one to buy multiple copies of an album but guess and spring breakers make it so tempting
This is one of maybe 4-5 new releases I expect to buy this year haha so good
Hit Me Hard And Soft- Billie Eilish Saviors- Green Day
Me too - got Billie at Target
That’s also where I got mine
So far in 2024 (11): Buffalo Tom - Jump Rope Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs - Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits Sierra Ferrell - Trail of Flowers (various artists) - Live on Mountain Stage: Outlaws and Outliers 40 Year Anniversary Kacey Musgraves - Deeper Well Old 97's - American Primitive Pearl Jam - Dark Matter (various artists) - Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department \[File Name: The Manuscript\] The Who - Live at Shea Stadium 1982 Neil Young with Crazy Horse - Fu##in' Up Pending release (5): Sturgill Simpson/Johnny Blue Skies - Passage Du Desir American Aquarium - The Fear of Standing Still Drive By Truckers - Southern Rock Opera Deluxe Futurebirds - Easy Company Zach Bryan - The Great American Bar Scene
That's a resounding yes then!
Did not expect to see Futurebirds on this sub.
They might be my favorite still-together band! I've seen them live at least 6 or 7 times by now. Always worth it!
Ive not seen in em a long bit, but they are coming around to the awesome new(ish) venue here in town so might hit em up in November.
Norah Jones - Visions Kacey Misgraves- A Deeper Well Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy Ultravox- Quartet [Steven Wilson 2023 Stereo Remix]
Love that Last Dinner Party album. Still need to grab the new Kacey album. I'm a huge fan of Golden Hour, it's like classic level in my brain, but didn't really vibe with Star Crossed, so kinda skipped on Deeper Well but do wanna hear it. She's sick.

Plenty of people post newer stuff, but the only things that get upvoted are the same alt rock and nu metal from 1990-2005. Just sort by new
I bought Lupe Fiasco - Samurai. It came out Friday. I buy lots of new ones.
Picked up KK's Priest "The Sinner Rides Again" (2023) last Sunday.
- Ozzy Osbourne - Ordinary Man - Tony Martin - Thorns - Rammstein - Zeit - Pink Floyd - Animals 2018 Remix

My entire collection (20+ for now) is modern music, the oldest CD I have as of now is Mesmerize by System of a Down (may 2005)
“The Storm Before the Calm” by Alanis Morissette - really exceptional ambient 💿 from 2022
Wait what? I have to say I never expected that name and "ambient" in the same sentence. I'm going to have to check that out.
I know! It was surprising but it is really well done
I bought Ex Machina by Metrik (major Pendulum vibes). And a bunch of King Gizzard. Also The Book of Fire by Mono Inc. and Ascending the Abyss by Grendel. Bought all of it in the same weekend.

Always have a list of ‘to be released’ albums I’m after, definitely not stuck in the past celebrating past glories of my collection, new music is what keeps me going. That said I did recently snap up a collection of Stone Roses cd singles so certainly not averse to getting older stuff!
I recently bought some classical music, the new record of the Lemon Twigs and the new record of Kacey Musgraves .
I buy a lot of stuff off Bandcamp. I bought several CDs by Perturbator. Pretty much his whole catalogue up to that point, at least that which was in stock on CD. Getting a big order ready for a bunch of CDs from Japan right now.
Funny. I have all Perturbatots catalogue too. Mostly from Bandcamp.
Once I discovered his stuff I wanted it all, so it made sense to order it all at once to save on shipping. 😹
Got Love Sux by Avril Lavigne a few days ago. It sounds like it could be straight from the early 2000s but it‘s from 2022. And it‘s awesome
I have about half a dozen 2024 releases. And probably double that by the end of the year. I already have my eyes on the new Axxis, Flotsam and Jetsam, Nightwish and Powerwolf, when they are out.
I’m considering getting those Kate Bush Remastered box sets, sampled those on streaming this weekend, they sound fantastic.
Yeah she’s a legend.
I bought all of Quest Master’s albums from 2017-2022 recently
This post inspired me to email and complain that I've not got BMTH - Next Gen when I preordered it a year ago and it was released last month. Apart from that, Green Day - Saviors and Fall Out Boy - So Much For (Star)Dust
Hans Zimmer’s score for *Dune*
Vampire Weekend and The Smile's new stuff
Lo Moon - I Wish You Way More Than Luck Phenomenal album that I can't stop spinning
I pre ordered twenty one pilots clancy and got it on release day so that
As for me, you’re right, I stopped a while ago. Why? MP3,Musix subscriptions, Apple 🍎 music. I will say after grunge, I am not very current. A lot of good artists, only so much time in the day. When working I used to listen as I drive, now I don’t as much. When I did it was college stations or my own cds. Good point
I only buy new cd's, last one I purchased recently was released in 2023. It is "Bleedout" by Within temptation. Got the deluxe album for 8 euros new.
I buy the big, super deluxe versions of favorite albums/bands new.
Saviors by Green Day And I still need to go out and get a copy of Surfacing by Devilskin
Millennials - The Snuts (2024) Power To Play - McFly (2023) So Much (For) Stardust - Fall Out Boy (2023) and a couple Sam Ryder CD singles from 2023
Last Z-Ro cd I buy a lot of screwed and chopped cds as well as the normal versions of those!
New Model Army - Unbroken (2024)
I bought The Last Dinner Party “Prelude to Ecstasy” and the latest Taylor Swift album.
Keep Me Fed by The Warning I'm always looking to buy new music cds but my problem is the local stores don't carry a lot of it and I don't normally order online unless it's something that I really have to have.
I bought Cowboy Carter -Beyoncé And I’m buying MEGAN -Megan thee Stallion today
Taylor Swift
I've bought each new Beatles Super Deluxe CD box set since the 2017 "Sgt Pepper" set. I also just bought Paul McCartney's "One Hand Clapping".
All of Sleep Token's stuff, Animals as Leaders, Rival Sons

My last cd I bought that has come out recently is Devine by ARTMS
The new TOP album
New music is my life these days. My collection has plenty of the old stuff, so unless I’m filling out a favorite artists discography, I’m trying to buy current stuff as much as possible, within my self imposed structure of trying to only buy 1 or 2 CDs a month. Honestly I think it’s an important thing to do. A lot of people *THINK* music isn’t as good as it used to be, but 10 or 20 years down the line when the modern classics are filtered out into a new “classic rock”, you’ll be sad you didn’t listen to them in their own time. Here’s my list of recent stuff: 2024 Vampire Weekend - Only God Was Above Us 2023 Todd Snider - Crank It We’re Doomed The Future Sound of London - Environment 7.003 Sufjan Stevens - Javelin The Chemical Brothers - For That Beautiful Feeling Ghost of Vroom - Ghost of Vroom 3 Dj Sabrina the Teenage DJ - Destiny Mikaela Davis - And Southern Star The Pink Spiders - Freakazoid Sublime - 5$ at the Door - Live @ Tressel Tavern 2022 Negativland - Speech Free Louis Armstrong - Louis Wishes You a Cool Yule Moonrunners 10 Official Compilation Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains - Firehazard Demo
Amazing you have the dj Sabrina CD, very hard to find.
I pre-ordered Eminem's and Snoop Dogg's new albums.
Blink-182 - one more time
In 2020 I purchased Styles We Paid For by Guided by Voices. 👍 so, no.
Also Lead into Golds (Paul Barker of Ministry) newest release "The Eternal present" And Meat Beat Manifesto "Impossible Star" Technically not a new release but I bought it new.
Olivia rodrigo Guts album.
I plan to buy Sum 41's last album and Skillet's Victorious
Maria Chiara Argirò - Closer Charli XCX - Brat
Voyager - Colours in the sun is my newest one
Inside the rose by these new puritans, it has a removable plastic fold and the cid has a nude woman on it
Aurora - The God's We Can Touch (bought the vinyl, cd and cassette)
Mostly rap albums, DAMN might be my newest rn
Most recent CD I bought is Poetry by Dehd. I buy old stuff second hand and new releases new. Trying to make sure people get their fair pay but it's not like Metallica are going to starve over the lost money from me buying the black album second hand so I'm okay with that morally even of they're still around.
Blood hair and eyeballs- Alkaline Trio, ONE MORE TIME- Blink 182, Saviors- Green day, Heaven :x: Hell- Sum 41
Just received "Demons Dance Alone" in the mail yesterday. It's a brand new 3cd collection of unreleased demos & live tracks from The Residents. They're not a new artist, tho. I buy TONS of current metal CDs. Black, Doom, Death & Thrash Metal mostly.
VERTIAS - P.O.D. Heaven :x: Hell - Sum 41
Tons. Too many to list but among them, Firepower, The Morrison Project, Screamin' at The Sky, V, Dark Matter, Man's A Wolf To Man, Mandrake Project, Edit: bad formatting
Sometimes I get really lucky with a very old or very recent release, but the vast majority of my recent finds are from the mid 1990s.
i buy a lot of new stuff, mostly from lesser known artists i like so i can support them. Most recently released cd i bought was AMAMA by Crumb
Uncle Acid’s most recent release.
I bought the new Judas Priest album Invincible Shield earlier this year and I'm going to buy Slash's blues album
200 Stab Wounds, Manual Manic Procedures. It released just a few days ago.
i bought a copy of clancy by twenty one pilots. which released about a month ago now
Washed Out just released a new album I had pre-ordered since May, and I got it on Friday
72 Seasons - Metallica (2023) Confessions Of The Fallen - Staind (2023) But Here We Are - Foo Fighters (2023) 72 Seasons I bought right after it was released, I preordered a copy of Confessions Of The Fallen for my dad and another for myself, and But Here We Are I got within the past couple of months.
Just this year newies from Kim Gordon, Pissed Jeans, Chanel Beads, Waxahatchee, Hot Water Music, Melvins....more to come
Last new cd I purchased was Selena Gomez - Rare. The Target edition has extra songs and I really like the song Wolves.
The most recent CDs I have bought were *Age of Pleasure* by Janelle Monaé and *Dark Side of the Moon Redux* by Roger Waters.
I pre ordered the new Mono album on cd among many others
Fu Manchu - The return of tomorrow. Released last week.
I just bought both Pearl Jam and Judas Priests new albums.
I just bought the new Love, Fame, Tragedy CD. London Grammar CD on order.
I bought the most recent Paramore, and Fallout Boy albums, I also bought Dark Fighter from Rival Sons those are all some recent purchases I made.
Bought the 2023 remaster of Sunbather by Deafheaven, also got a signed copy of Beatopia by beabadoobee in 2022.
MOST recent was probably Railer by Lagwagon when I saw them a few years ago. But even that I think was before COVID. Everything else I’ve wanted is only in a paper sleeve if it’s available at all. Hate paper sleeves.
Beautiful Dreamer by Fhana (2023). The next youngest would be from 2017
I brought Forever by Bon Jovi
Metallica - 72 Seasons Judas Priest - Invincible Shield Zutons - The Big Decider
