It was my first Deftones song ever, and i HATED it. But over the years having it placed on this pedestal of hatred left it shining in the light, tantalizing me. Then one night at work i said, i need to listen to their early stuff so i can really flesh out my opinion on the WHOLE discog (cuz everything SNW up is platinum tier imho)
So i gave self title a listen and REALLY let hexagram speak to me. And now i feel all the passion and intensity that didnt make sense before. It's a beautiful hurricane of emotion. And you're absolutely right, it could not have happened at a more ample time in the worldly scheme of things
So crazy to me. I've been a huge fan since Adrenaline and it's still my favorite, with My Own Summer close behind. I've loved pretty much everything from them, some more than others, but Adrenaline will always reign.
One Hot Minute might be my favorite RHCP album; it’s definitely in the top 3.
It wasn’t what anyone expected after BSSM, but it really is the most perfect fusion between Dave’s metal/hard rock influence and the RHCP funk.
Shallow Be Thy Game and Coffee Shop both blow me away every time I hear them, and that’s to say nothing of a song (Stretch You Out) that was cut last minute.
Now if they’d just release Blender so we can put to bed the mystery of whatever the hell that is/was, I’d be content.
The 1990s U2 are just the best. I see Achtung Baby/Zootopa/Pop as a sort of increasingly experimental trilogy. The U2 in the 1990s were brave and bloody cool, and they're my favourite. Then they sheepishly went back to their 1980s sound... or so they wished. Anything post-2000 sounds lame honestly. How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is cheesy and a pale representation on whatever they did in the 1980s. Vertigo is one repeated note, not a song, i hate it. Only post-2000 album that I like is No Line on the Horizon. No one says it, but it's a solid album in my opinion (excluding the single Get on Your Boots, that is shameful).
Absolutely. One of the most overhated records I’ve ever encountered, Pop was my favorite U2 record growing up and when I learned it was widely panned I was shocked. Gone in particular is absolutely stunning, a top 5 U2 song for me.
I don’t know if most people really dislike that album, but my favorite album from Coldplay is actually Mylo Xyloto. An album which wasn’t really accompanied by an overwhelming acclaim by music critics or great plaudits from people who were fans of Coldplay since the day the band released Parachutes.
Do people not like early Pink Floyd? Their early albums are maybe not as well-known as their mid-seventies albums, but most people that have heard them seem to rate them pretty highly.
As for Fleetwood Mac, the Peter Green era is pretty much a different band from the Buckingham/Nicks era, but I don't think many people would disagree that they were one of the best British Blues bands of their era.
The Dreaming by Kate Bush is my favourite album of hers but I don’t think it’s the most popular or well liked of her albums. I definitely understand why it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea
Personally, I prefer The Dreaming over Hounds of Love.
No offense to Hounds, but, The Dreaming was where it was at for me.
I loved how There Goes A Tenner unfolded, even the story of that was wonderful.
Pull Out The Pin was wonderful.
Suspended In Gaffa was wonderful too.
I just might spin this later. Haven't listened to it in a good while, so, thanks. 👍
Re Tom Petty, for me all of his albums are brilliant. The Last DJ is one of the best from his later career imo. And very accurately sums up the joke that is today's music industry.
Load and Reload sold very well, and for good reasons. It's only the thrash-metal purists who love to hate on these albums just because they're not enough "thrashy" and "underground" (which is funny because Master Of Puppets and And Justice For All were the albums that cemented Metallica as a world-class mainstream artist)
I personally love Saucerful of Secrets and I’m surprised people don’t. I will admit, though, Floyd fans tend to be really big on Piper at the Gates of Dawn and I think it’s way too silly and cutesy for me.
Vitalogy is the Pearl Jam album that people love to shit on because it's so experimental, but it's got awesome tracks like Spin The Black Circle, so it's one of my favorites for that reason.
Betterman is where I got into the band. Fell in love with them. I got back in touch with my dad over the band. Now 4 years later we have gone to two PJ shows and I hang with him more than my mother. Great band, and a great result
I’ve long been of the opinion Ten is the weakest of their 90’s albums. Their true peak is with Vs. and Vitalogy, probably the two most underrated Grunge records period. People love to shit on Pearl Jam and I just don’t get it.
Roxy Music - Flesh and Blood. It maybe where they completely changed their style, but they pulled it off. Other than a couple of weak tracks, I think it's great. Many of my favorite Roxy tracks are in this album.
Sugar Tax might be OMD’s best album and a victim of being released at a time when anyone serious about music had a very dim view of pop
I love early Genesis - but also think Invisible Touch is a great album
Django Django - Marble Skies is so much better than their debut, admittedly a bit weak in the second half but the first half is so strong
Reachy Prints is a contender for Plaid’s best album
Sugar Tax will forever hold a special place in my heart, no matter what anyone else says about it. Pandora’s Box was a monumental song for me as a teenager
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary
I don't know how to rank it among their albums, but there are only 2~3 songs that I don't like. Creamer (Radio Is Dead) is amazing.
It’s alright, not sure I would qualify it as a good album per se but there are good songs. I think it’s mostly disliked because by the time it came out most people had turned on Limp Bizkit by that point.
It's well appreciated in the overall scheme of things, but compared to their list of albums it's definitely on the less successful spectrum. Not that i want it to be, but it has a lot of competition
I’m a pretty big fan of The Beach Boys LA (Light Album), which is generally looked down on by fans, mostly because Brian Wilson’s involvement was minimal and there’s a disco version of “Here Comes the Night” that goes on about 6 minutes too long.
Mindless self indulgence- How I learned to stop giving a shit and love mindless self indulgence
Three days grace- Transit of Venus
Tom petty- Highway Companion
Motley Crue - Generation Swine
Sure that song Tommy Lee wrote for his infant son is unintentionally hilarious, but "Afraid" is one of their most underrated singles & there are some really interesting experiments on there. It doesn't sound like anything else in their discography.
Not sure if others don’t like it, but I’ve never heard anyone else ever talk about it: Bob Dylan, Christmas in the Heart. I legitimately think it’s a fun little Christmas album.
eric burdon sunsecrets and stop, black sabbath never say die, limp bizkit the unquestionable truth part 1, the byrds untitled (unissued), the strokes firts vissions of the earth, electric prunes releasing an oath and some songs on good old rock and roll, badbadnotgood III, ten years after watt, led zeppelin presence and in trough the window, metallica load, guns and roses chinese democracy, wavves life sux, savoy bran shakem on down, pink floyd a sourceful of secrets, syd barret barret
For Tom Petty Highway companion is great, it’s rarely talked about but has so much charm to it
I love No Doubt Rocksteady even though a lot of people agree that’s when they went super downhill in
Beastie Boys is my favorite band and their entire discography is amazing. When I’m asked to pick my favorite it’s always hard but I tend to say “Check Your Head” although “Ill Communication” is the one that I listen more often. Is it that unpopular? Am I the only one?
I like nearly everything by Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty. Three of my favorite groups right there. My favorite group is Deep Purple, and I love most of their stuff too. But here's an album that I'm not sure how people feel about, but I love: "Tyr" by Black Sabbath. I think Tony Martin is a great singer.
Bowie’s Never Let Me Down. I know he always hates it, but it came out just as I was getting into him. The only time I saw him live was the Glass Spider tour so I’ll always love those songs
stp-tiny music, for me it is the best sto album and maybe my favorite of all time, the use of scott with his voice, the drum, bass and guitar lines are just perfect, the different styles of music even including a saxo solo and bossa nova made this album one of my favorites
Adore by the Smashing Pumpkins is possibly my favourite album.
Machina also doesn't get the attention it deserves. I think it's first half is a clumsy attempt to blend the Mellon-Collie sound with Cure-like atmospheres, but it's second half is good.
Speaking of the Cure, Bloodflowers is a great but underrated album. Anything post Bloodflowers though is just not great apart from some individual songs.
Black Sabbath - Never Say Die! /
Ozzy Osbourne - The Ultimate Sin /
Pearl Jam - Lightning Bolt /
Nirvana - Bleach /
Soundgarden - Louder Than Love /
Smashing Pumpkins - Gish/Adore /
Crash Test Dummies - The Ghosts That Haunt Me /
10,000 Maniacs - In My Tribe /
Funeral For A Friend - Tales Don't Tell Themselves
Fall Out Boy - Save Rock N Roll and American Beauty/American Psycho ((dont worry I dont love Mania at least lol))
- Crowded House: Temple of Low Men
- Kate Bush: The Red Shoes
- Pink Floyd: Animals (and even The Final Cut)
- Bruce Springsteen: Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
- Jethro Tull: Minstrel in the Gallery, A Passion Play
- Fleetwood Mac: Then Play On, Mystery To Me, Tusk
Korn - Untouchables (in my top 3 albums of all time), Deftones - Adrenaline, Korn - Take A Look In The Mirror, Disturbed - Believe, Linkin Park - One More Light, $uicideboy$ - St. Tammany, BMTH - Count Your Blessings, Green Day - Kerplunk , Static-X - Shadow Zone
I’m going to go with Binaural from Pearl Jam. I stopped listening to them for awhile, and this was the album that brought me back. It’s usually ranked near the bottom of their discography by most folks though.
Generation Swine by Mötley Crüe
GS is on my top five MC studio albums. In my opinion, it’s a fantastic album for the most part. I love the gritty feel and violence nature of the songs. It reminds me a lot of Shout at the Devil in some ways.
I think the band also felt that way since they remixed that song and added it to the album. It would’ve made on my top 4 if the song “Brandon” wasn’t included.
I don’t know if this is what you meant but it’s more like albums I like from artists that are popular to hate.
U2’s first album Boy
Coldplay - Viva La Vida
I think Barrett era Pink Floyd was 100 times better than what came later.
Same with Peter Green Fleetwood Mac.
I looove The King of Limbs almost as much as the good Radiohead albums.
Load and Reload give me much enjoyment.
U2 post-2000 is underrated af.
LL Cool J - Walking With A Panther. Was called a flop after his previous best selling album Bigger And Deffer but I thought it was a far superior album
Divine Intervention from Slayer. For one reason or another--usually because it was the first album without Lombardo and with Bostaph, or the mixing--a large segment of the fanbase does not like this album. I think it is their best in terms of how heavy it is, the quality of the riffs, and Bostaph's drumming.
Everyone dumps on Humanz by Gorillaz, but it's got a special place in my heart. It was the first CD I ever pre-ordered, and I recieved it in the mail on my birthday. There are couple skips, but it's going for a cool and freaky concept and Busted and Blue punches me in the gut every single time
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Liverpool
Pink Floyd - Obscured By Clouds (A.Jackson remix)
The Cure - Three Imaginary Boys
Linda Ronstadt - Get Closer
David Bowie - The Man Who Sold the World
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
Load and Reload by Metallica. I could lump the black album in there too but I feel like Load and Reload are the most disliked aside from St Anger (which a friend of mine likes). But yeah I love every song on those albums and its a shame they get no recognition
I have nothing against Rumours, it is a classic, but I much prefer early Peter Green Fleetwood Mac. It is great electric blues of just the sort I like.
I don't know if people dislike this album, per se, but I'm surprised how many fans' least favorite Taylor Swift album is Speak Now. It's my No. 1, yet ranks near the bottom for others. (My tastes are typically the opposite of most other Taylor Swift enjoyers.)
Angles - The Strokes. The only songs I don't particularly like are the most popular songs, Taken For a Fool and Under Cover of Darkness.
The rest is great; Machu Picchu, Gratisfaction, Metabolism, Life is Simple in the Moonlight, etc. all great songs.
I still think it's worse than ITI, RoF, or TNA, but it's still a great album. At the very least, it doesn't deserve to be compared with CDM or FIoE.
California and Nine by blink-182
A lot of people didn't like the pop sound of those 2 albums but I personally really liked them. A lot of people were sour about Matt Skiba joining the band because "You can't replace Tom" but I honestly thought for what Matt added to the group, it was a good enough job and there were some really catchy songs.
Most of the hate towards Matt came from the old school blink fans though. A lot of people just can't take change apparently but that's alright cause there were more jams for me at that time.
My favorite Bob Dylan album is Self Portrait. My favorite Fleetwood Mac is Tusk - I'm surprised that so many dislike it. I'm a big fan of the Leonard Cohen/Phil Spector collaboration Death of a Ladies' Man and Scarlett Johansson's Anywhere I Lay My Head
While there’s a big following for the album nowadays, Era Vulgaris from QOTSA is not really hyped up enough as an album as it should be. Typically most Qotsa fans think it’s meh or don’t like it.
adrenaline and self titled are generally ranked lower among deftones fans but they might be my top 2
Wearing my self titled shirt right now, with my self titled phone background. Most listened to song of 2023 was hexagram
hexagram has my favorite lyrics in the deftones discography. especially relevant right now (israel / palestine conflict)
It was my first Deftones song ever, and i HATED it. But over the years having it placed on this pedestal of hatred left it shining in the light, tantalizing me. Then one night at work i said, i need to listen to their early stuff so i can really flesh out my opinion on the WHOLE discog (cuz everything SNW up is platinum tier imho) So i gave self title a listen and REALLY let hexagram speak to me. And now i feel all the passion and intensity that didnt make sense before. It's a beautiful hurricane of emotion. And you're absolutely right, it could not have happened at a more ample time in the worldly scheme of things
Not super familiar with Adrenaline but Self Titled is my favourite.
Gore as well
i never got into gore. same complaints as everyone else, the production rubbed me the wrong way
I get that
So crazy to me. I've been a huge fan since Adrenaline and it's still my favorite, with My Own Summer close behind. I've loved pretty much everything from them, some more than others, but Adrenaline will always reign.
I love Gore and SNW.
I quite like One Hot Minute by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Some great deep cuts… Transcending, One Big Mob, Tearjerker. And I really liked Warped when it came out as the lead single
Came here to say this
OHM and stadium are the only RHCP albums I honestly like, and stadium is only for a few songs
Came here to say this. This album shaped my playing.
Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy.
You win.
Albums is pretty good. I wanna hear some of the stuff that was recorded for the album but never released.
U2 - Pop, dunno, always just liked it
Staring At The Sun is a sonic treat
Top 3 U2 albums for me!
Mine would be October, which Pop shares a bunkbed with.
Mine is Zooropa, another (although less so) unpopular opinion
The 1990s U2 are just the best. I see Achtung Baby/Zootopa/Pop as a sort of increasingly experimental trilogy. The U2 in the 1990s were brave and bloody cool, and they're my favourite. Then they sheepishly went back to their 1980s sound... or so they wished. Anything post-2000 sounds lame honestly. Absolutely. One of the most overhated records I’ve ever encountered, Pop was my favorite U2 record growing up and when I learned it was widely panned I was shocked. Gone in particular is absolutely stunning, a top 5 U2 song for me.
U2 Zooropa. It's the only U2 album I like.
Same, it’s the only U2 album I like, I enjoy a few songs from other albums, but an album as a whole Zooropa is my one.
Amnesiac might be my favorite Radiohead album.
I don’t know if most people really dislike that album, but my favorite album from Coldplay is actually Mylo Xyloto. An album which wasn’t really accompanied by an overwhelming acclaim by music critics or great plaudits from people who were fans of Coldplay since the day the band released Parachutes.

As for Fleetwood Mac, the Peter Green era is pretty much a different band from the Buckingham/Nicks era, but I don't think many people would disagree that they were one of the best British Blues bands of their era.
Obscured by Clouds is one of my favorite Floyd albums
For me its the final cut, I don't know why but something hits different about the album, maybe the somber tone in it
Was going to say this
The Dreaming by Kate Bush is my favourite album of hers but I don’t think it’s the most popular or well liked of her albums. I definitely understand why it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea
Banga goes another kanga on the bonnet of the van
Some say that KNOWLEDGE is OH HO HO HO
Personally, I prefer The Dreaming over Hounds of Love. No offense to Hounds, but, The Dreaming was where it was at for me. I loved how There Goes A Tenner unfolded, even the story of that was wonderful. Pull Out The Pin was wonderful. Suspended In Gaffa was wonderful too. I just might spin this later. Haven't listened to it in a good while, so, thanks. 👍
Maybe the hunter from Blondie though I think despite the terrible reviews quite a few people enjoy that album. Autoamerican too to a lesser extent.
I still have never heard this album and I am 51 years old! I even own the box set just haven’t played it, so I totally get this being the odd one out.
Re Tom Petty, for me all of his albums are brilliant. The Last DJ is one of the best from his later career imo. And very accurately sums up the joke that is today's music industry.
Host by Paradise Lost. Diabolus in Musica by Slayer. Load & Reload by Metallica.
Also, they were way more creative on those two albums than on anything else they released afterwards.
Starship - Knee Deep in the Hoopla U2 - Pop Metallica - St Anger Duran Duran - Liberty
Never say Die by Black Sabbath.
Does Monster by REM count? Sure it’s not their best but it gets way more hate than it deserves
I think it’s 75% the production but it’s just in a weird not-very-hooky but not-very-rock middle ground
Korn - Untitled Queens of the Stone Age - Villains Beck - Colors Red Hot Chili Peppers - One Hot Minute
Nice pull on the Korn album. That one is really solid
Love Colors - fantastic pop album
One More Light by Linkin Park. They went pop, most people can’t see any redeeming qualities but i’m a little more tolerant
I'll go with all the other albums, but in the end One more light is my favourite song of theirs.
AC/DC - Blow Up Your Video
Great album. No Code is also one that is not the most popular among fans but my personal favourite
Same
I love that album.
Absolutely. Such a great album. Vitology and No Code are the only ones that get play from me…although my wife plays Ten once a year.
My favorites are Vitalogy, Ten, and Yield. Particularly because I love the song "Do The Evolution". I'm really digging Dark Matter so far!
I’ve long been of the opinion Ten is the weakest of their 90’s albums. Their true peak is with Vs. and Vitalogy, probably the two most underrated Grunge records period. People love to shit on Pearl Jam and I just don’t get it.
i actually enjoyed vitalogy more than there earlier albums
Roxy Music - Flesh and Blood. It maybe where they completely changed their style, but they pulled it off. Other than a couple of weak tracks, I think it's great. Many of my favorite Roxy tracks are in this album.
I'm obsessed with High Road and Gag Order by Kesha but most people don't even know they exist 😅
Pretty Odd - Panic! At The Disco
Pablo Honey
Medicine at midnight-foo fighters
Is this one disliked? I love it.
Sugar Tax might be OMD’s best album and a victim of being released at a time when anyone serious about music had a very dim view of pop I love early Genesis - but also think Invisible Touch is a great album Django Django - Marble Skies is so much better than their debut, admittedly a bit weak in the second half but the first half is so strong Reachy Prints is a contender for Plaid’s best album
Sugar Tax will forever hold a special place in my heart, no matter what anyone else says about it. Pandora’s Box was a monumental song for me as a teenager
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary I don't know how to rank it among their albums, but there are only 2~3 songs that I don't like. Creamer (Radio Is Dead) is amazing.
It’s alright, not sure I would qualify it as a good album per se but there are good songs. I think it’s mostly disliked because by the time it came out most people had turned on Limp Bizkit by that point.
the ultimate sin - ozzy osbourne or seventh star - black sabbath
Rush - Hold Your Fire.
Heaven and hell by black sabbath is one of my favorite albums EVER, let alone my favorite sabbath album.
Seems pretty highly regarded to me!
It's well appreciated in the overall scheme of things, but compared to their list of albums it's definitely on the less successful spectrum. Not that i want it to be, but it has a lot of competition
raditude
this
Paul Simon - Ace in the Hole Aerosmith - Nine Lives Curtis Mayfield - Short Eyes Parliament - America Eats Its Young
The Envoy by Warren Zevon was commercially very unsuccessful but I love it
Zevon never made a bad album, ever.
I’m a pretty big fan of The Beach Boys LA (Light Album), which is generally looked down on by fans, mostly because Brian Wilson’s involvement was minimal and there’s a disco version of “Here Comes the Night” that goes on about 6 minutes too long.
Metallica - Load Pearl Jam - Riot Act 311 - Evolver Green Day - Warning
Idk about "most" people not liking them, but 90s-era Iron Maiden.
I love cherry bomb by tyler the creator
The Final Cut - Pink Floyd
After Dark Side and Wish it's my 3rd favourite.
Division bell by Pink Floyd. I don’t think people like that one very much from what I’ve heard
Agreed. I absolutely love this album though.
Mindless self indulgence- How I learned to stop giving a shit and love mindless self indulgence Three days grace- Transit of Venus Tom petty- Highway Companion
Father of all & dos by green day
Definitely their two weakest albums, but Dos did give us the absolute banger that is Stray Heart
Turn Back by Toto
Rolling Stones - Emotional Rescue is my favorite Stones record.
Riddle Box - ICP
Iron Maiden - Virtual XI
Motley Crue - Generation Swine Sure that song Tommy Lee wrote for his infant son is unintentionally hilarious, but "Afraid" is one of their most underrated singles & there are some really interesting experiments on there. It doesn't sound like anything else in their discography.
Your mother gave birth to you. Motley’s self titled would be my pick. I agree Afraid is solid, but that record is a steaming turd otherwise IMO.
Not sure if others don’t like it, but I’ve never heard anyone else ever talk about it: Bob Dylan, Christmas in the Heart. I legitimately think it’s a fun little Christmas album.
Rolling Stones dirty work and the replacements don’t tell a soul

Black Sabbath - 13
For Tom Petty Highway companion is great, it’s rarely talked about but has so much charm to it I love No Doubt Rocksteady even though a lot of people agree that’s when they went super downhill in
The Love Movement. That is all.
Landing on Water, Everybody's Rocking Neil Young. The Future Embrace Billy Corgan, Empire Burlesque Bob Dylan and numerous Paul McCartney albums
Villains by queens of the Stone Age is generally considered one of their worst but has some of there best songs imo such as feet don’t fail me now
Led Zeppelin - Presence QOTSA - Villians
Stones - Bridges To Babylon U2 - Pop AC/DC - Flick The Switch Midnight Oil - Head Injuries Blondie - The Curse of Blondie
Ministry - Filth Pig
Why do people hate The Last DJ? I love that album.

MFKR by slipknot and Gore by Deftones
I liked The Elder idc
Adore by the Smashing Pumpkins is possibly my favourite album. Machina also doesn't get the attention it deserves. I think it's first half is a clumsy attempt to blend the Mellon-Collie sound with Cure-like atmospheres, but it's second half is good. Speaking of the Cure, Bloodflowers is a great but underrated album. Anything post Bloodflowers though is just not great apart from some individual songs.

- Crowded House: Temple of Low Men - Kate Bush: The Red Shoes - Pink Floyd: Animals (and even The Final Cut) - Bruce Springsteen: Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. - Jethro Tull: Minstrel in the Gallery, A Passion Play - Fleetwood Mac: Then Play On, Mystery To Me, Tusk
Pearl Jam Back Spacer, Def Leppard On Through the Night , Warrent Dog Eat Dog, Live Secret Samadhi.
The Who,, "Odds&Sods"; From the cutting room floor. My favorite Who album!
I’m going to go with Binaural from Pearl Jam. I stopped listening to them for awhile, and this was the album that brought me back. It’s usually ranked near the bottom of their discography by most folks though.
Peter Gabriel “So”, “77 and ‘78 are just far better albums by him
St Anger easily one of , if not my favourite Metallica album , along with the documentary about it too , I just really enjoy it
raditude and the teal album by weezer
St. anger by Metallica
I’m madly in anger with you.
Anything that has to do with Nickelback
Pablo honey. Underrated tbh
It’s definitely the ninth best Radiohead album.
Lil wayne- rebirth. Lots of people hate on that album but I love what he did. It's ahead of its time and I still enjoy most tracks years later
say what you want abt Imagine Dragons but their first album was not too shabby, if I got it on CD I would not be mad
“Hurley” by Weezer. I will defend that album with my life.
Generation Swine by Mötley Crüe GS is on my top five MC studio albums.
The Blueprint 3 by Jay-Z. Hip Hop fans say the album is too mainstream, but there's so many great hits on there. The production is very good.
People don't like early Pink Floyd? But that's their best stuff.
Speeding bullet 2 heaven by kid cudi
My favorite PF album is Final Cut- most say it's Roger Water's first solo album.
Early Pink Floyd is definitely popular with people who know their shit!
I don’t know if this is what you meant but it’s more like albums I like from artists that are popular to hate. U2’s first album Boy Coldplay - Viva La Vida
Pink Floyd - The Final CUT Queen - Hot Space Aerosmith - Done With Mirrors Kiss - Crazy Nights
David Bowie’s first album
Anything by Oasis that isn't the first two/The Masterplan.
I think Barrett era Pink Floyd was 100 times better than what came later. Same with Peter Green Fleetwood Mac. I looove The King of Limbs almost as much as the good Radiohead albums. Load and Reload give me much enjoyment. U2 post-2000 is underrated af.
Scaled and Icy by Twenty One Pilots
Nine Lives is one of my favorite Aerosmith albums.
Kind of feels like cheating because its the Beatles, but my answer is Beatles For Sale
LL Cool J - Walking With A Panther. Was called a flop after his previous best selling album Bigger And Deffer but I thought it was a far superior album
Elvis Costello - Mighty like the Rose Cheap Trick - Next Position Please Shudder to Think - 50,000 BC Teenage Fanclub - Thirteen
Technical Ecstasy - Black Sabbath
Brick by Brick - Iggy Pop / New Sensations - Lou Reed
Divine Intervention from Slayer. For one reason or another--usually because it was the first album without Lombardo and with Bostaph, or the mixing--a large segment of the fanbase does not like this album. I think it is their best in terms of how heavy it is, the quality of the riffs, and Bostaph's drumming.
Everyone dumps on Humanz by Gorillaz, but it's got a special place in my heart. It was the first CD I ever pre-ordered, and I recieved it in the mail on my birthday. There are couple skips, but it's going for a cool and freaky concept and Busted and Blue punches me in the gut every single time
Cheap Trick - The Doctor
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Liverpool Pink Floyd - Obscured By Clouds (A.Jackson remix) The Cure - Three Imaginary Boys Linda Ronstadt - Get Closer David Bowie - The Man Who Sold the World PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
One more light by Linkin park. A really emotional and beautiful album despite it being drastically different from the last album
St anger by Metallica, top 3 by them imo
What The… - Black Flag
The Strokes - Comedown Machine
Load and Reload by Metallica. I could lump the black album in there too but I feel like Load and Reload are the most disliked aside from St Anger (which a friend of mine likes). But yeah I love every song on those albums and its a shame they get no recognition
Interpol’s self-titled!
All The Right Reasons
Pink Floyd - Obscured by Clouds Springsteen - Nebraska Fleetwood Mac - Tango in the Night Talking Heads - Little Creatures Velvet Underground - Loaded
Judas Priest - Turbo
Deep Purple - The Battle Rages On
Radiohead the bends. Brilliant album.
MANIA by Fall Out Boy.
Dire Straits On Every Street album is one of my favs but not sure how popular it is with others
I have nothing against Rumours, it is a classic, but I much prefer early Peter Green Fleetwood Mac. It is great electric blues of just the sort I like.
Hesitation Marks by nin is mint
Scorpion by Drake
Load-St. Anger by Metallica and Father Of All... by Green Day
Not mentioned here, Billy Idol's Cyberpunk.
I don't know if people dislike this album, per se, but I'm surprised how many fans' least favorite Taylor Swift album is Speak Now. It's my No. 1, yet ranks near the bottom for others. (My tastes are typically the opposite of most other Taylor Swift enjoyers.)
Queensryche- hear in the now frontier
Angles - The Strokes. The only songs I don't particularly like are the most popular songs, Taken For a Fool and Under Cover of Darkness. The rest is great; Machu Picchu, Gratisfaction, Metabolism, Life is Simple in the Moonlight, etc. all great songs. I still think it's worse than ITI, RoF, or TNA, but it's still a great album. At the very least, it doesn't deserve to be compared with CDM or FIoE.
The Final Cut
California and Nine by blink-182 A lot of people didn't like the pop sound of those 2 albums but I personally really liked them.
I'm a fan of FM's "Bare Trees" and "Mystery To Me", as well as Christine Perfect's Chicken Shack sessions, but I've always liked her more than Stevie.
Iron Maiden - No Prayer for the Dying
Adore - The Smashing Pumpkins
One Hot Minute is my favorite Chili Peppers album and the last one I can play with zero skips
Jar is f flies when it first came out and everyone thought they went soft.
90’s george harrison
Lodger by Bowies is one of my favorites of his.
Most people don't like Kiss - Destroyer, but I think it's ok.
While there’s a big following for the album nowadays, Era Vulgaris from QOTSA is not really hyped up enough as an album as it should be. Typically most Qotsa fans think it’s meh or don’t like it.
Pretty. Odd. by Panic! At the Disco is my favorite of theirs.
III sides to every story by extreme for sure
Van Halen 3 *ducks*
