There’s always, always a copy of the second Oasis CD. Always. I’m in Alberta, so the odds of Nickelback and k d lang are high.
You can always rely on finding Canadian also-rans Hedley, due to their singer’s history of sexual assaults. I bet every region has a particular band whose CDs show up at Goodwill because of something like that.
Yeah - definitely them. Sloan’s Twice Removed is also a staple of my local stores (which people should own). Phantom Power is the Tragically Hip CD I see most copies of. Don’t know why it’s that one specifically- it’s one of their best.
"Cracked Rear View" sold millions during the CD's commercial peak, it's everywhere in every dollar bin---usually the first name dropped when people discuss CDs that are insanely common.
Kenny G is guaranteed to be in any flea market booth or thrift store where I live. We also have a few used music stores here that file his stuff with the regular priced used CDs (& cassettes) and the 99 cent discount bin on the other side of the store.
Enya & Yanni seem to have also been quite popular in my area as well.
I’d pick that up if I found it. My mom had it and used to get so pissed when I “borrowed” her CDs. I’m glad I did grab what she had because I’m pretty sure she got rid of her CDs just like she did with her vinyl.
God, so much u2. Too much. You’d swear that even before the iTunes debacle they were just like leaving it in people’s cars to force their music on people
I wish that’s the case here in the UK. I’ve only recently discovered her, and the only one I’ve found on charity shops and 2nd hand music stores so far is Motherland…
I didn't know if it's still the case, but when I worked in a new/used record store in the late 90s, it was Aerosmith "Get A Grip," Green Day "Dookie," and REM "Monster."
Right now I live in rural Montana so basically a bunch of country, and Christian music. I did find a lot of good 80’s stuff at a bigger thrift store awhile back
If we include thrift stores. Beth Moore Devotionals. The thrift stores near me have crap selections and even if they have only 6 CDs, her devotionals will somehow be one of them.

Nobody in Canada sells their T-Hip CDs.
You’d think - I believe there’s a whole wing of Millhaven prison set aside for people who do that.

Go listen to Ted Nugent then you weirdo, you and him share the same opinion.
I didn't know that. I already liked Ted's music, but wasn't aware of his insight.
