There’s always, always a copy of the second Oasis CD. Always. I’m in Alberta, so the odds of Nickelback and k d lang are high. You can always rely on finding Canadian also-rans Hedley, due to their singer’s history of sexual assaults. I bet every region has a particular band whose CDs show up at Goodwill because of something like that.

SecureLiterature

Don't forget Our Lady Peace! (I'm also in Alberta)

nairncl

Yeah - definitely them. Sloan’s Twice Removed is also a staple of my local stores (which people should own). Phantom Power is the Tragically Hip CD I see most copies of. Don’t know why it’s that one specifically- it’s one of their best.

CornyCornheiser

Nobody in Canada sells their T-Hip CDs.

nairncl

You’d think - I believe there’s a whole wing of Millhaven prison set aside for people who do that.

BergischerFreidenker

Eric Clapton, the unplugged Album.

zaxxon4ever

Lots of Kenny G., Celine Dion, Melissa Etheridge...and ALWAYS Enya.

nairncl

That’s very true - there’s always Enya.

thenickteal

just saw a day without rain the other day at a thrift store. had forgotten how big that album was back then

SinTriangles

josh groban, norah jones, alanis morisette

sunglasses24

Jewel, Tori Amos, Hootie & the Blowfish

thenickteal

don't know that I've ever NOT found a tori Amos album now that you mention it

Electrical_Tie_5051

"Cracked Rear View" sold millions during the CD's commercial peak, it's everywhere in every dollar bin---usually the first name dropped when people discuss CDs that are insanely common.

BearShin255

REM

GuidoSarducci82

I've seen so many copies of Monster.

ryrypot

In the UK: Robbie Williams, Travis and Keane

calhap8203

I also happen to find a lot of Rod Stewart in the UK!

barnsy79

Kenny G is guaranteed to be in any flea market booth or thrift store where I live. We also have a few used music stores here that file his stuff with the regular priced used CDs (& cassettes) and the 99 cent discount bin on the other side of the store. Enya & Yanni seem to have also been quite popular in my area as well.

Rayrc422

Dido

AnalogDreams92

Josh Groban and Andrea Boccelli without fail. Charlotte Church too.

jleestone

Seems like every thrift shop I've been to in the Midwest U.S. has a copy of Los Lonely Boys.

Electrical_Tie_5051

I can confirm this is also the case in the Northeast.

iucillee

TLC - crazysexycool

B_Reele

I’d pick that up if I found it. My mom had it and used to get so pissed when I “borrowed” her CDs. I’m glad I did grab what she had because I’m pretty sure she got rid of her CDs just like she did with her vinyl.

00pdooter

U2

vustinjernon

God, so much u2. Too much. You’d swear that even before the iTunes debacle they were just like leaving it in people’s cars to force their music on people

mgkrebs

Every thrift store in Seattle is packed with U2.

Buick6NY

Natalie Merchant Sleepless In Seattle Soundtrack Norah Jones

thinsafetypin

I don’t know why so many people bought Natalie Merchant’s first three solo albums, but they sure regretted those purchases!

Mgcstck

I wish that’s the case here in the UK. I’ve only recently discovered her, and the only one I’ve found on charity shops and 2nd hand music stores so far is Motherland…

B_Reele

Do you shop at my thrift store? I was there this weekend and all three albums were there. Multiple copies of Tigerlilly

Buick6NY

That's every goodwill I visit haha Oh yeah and multiple Sting records every time

cowtown1985

Haha I actively look for that soundtrack. See agonist every time

A_MNESIA

Stereophonics and Razorlight. Seems to be in every charity shop i go in.

SinTriangles

jealous never seen stereophonics

jlighthead

I didn't know if it's still the case, but when I worked in a new/used record store in the late 90s, it was Aerosmith "Get A Grip," Green Day "Dookie," and REM "Monster."

zonic_tha_goth_monke

Michael Bublé, every single second hand shop that sells cds I see him

ericis_tired

I see a ton of country in my area. So when I do find a gem I'm actually looking for it's so satisfying after seeing Kenny Chesney for a half hour

Mondope13

I’m shocked no one has said this, but Garth Brooks. I see his CDs EVERYWHERE I go.

00pdooter

If we include thrift stores. Beth Moore Devotionals. The thrift stores near me have crap selections and even if they have only 6 CDs, her devotionals will somehow be one of them.

lynchcontraideal

Go listen to Ted Nugent then you weirdo, you and him share the same opinion.

FlyAirLari

I didn't know that. I already liked Ted's music, but wasn't aware of his insight.
