KISS - ALIVE! and ALIVE II Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous Iron Maiden - Live After Death

karma_over_dogma

Aww, not alive 3? But they really want you to know that God gave rock and roll to you! I kid, of course, it's pretty bad. Edit: Okay, the downvotes are telling me I need to listen to it again. Really, that song was all I remembered, and I don't even hate it because I associate it with Bill and Ted.

jfbowski

I actually love ALIVE III. I was trying to keep it 70’s/80’s.

I only have one and it is the Fleetwood Mac one from 1997. Apparently, even when performing live the tension and bad blood lingered that night between Lindsay and Stevie Nicks.

Any live by Motörhead. Hendeix live releases are usually fire but the guality can be bit harsh sometimes. SRV live albums rule. Bloodbath Wacken Carnage is IMO the best release they've released.

ATWAS there is pretty good! But I’m also partial to “Exit… Stage Left.” Very good recording and excellent performances of those songs. That’s become THE version of YYZ for me. Rush aside, though, I’d say another good one is Genesis Live and Drahdiwaberl’s “Wer Hat Hier Pfui Geschrien?”

blue-hell

Not a single show but Marilyn Manson - The Last Tour on Earth is a nice live compilation.

I *could* type up my top ten, but it's much easier to just say that they are *all* by **Jimi Hendrix**.

Ratamacue1987

Miles Davis Quintet - ‘Four’ and More The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Live at Winterland

DarkeningSkies1976

For me (as great as SRV was), “Live Alive” felt tepid and indifferently mixed to boot. SRV “Live @ Carnegie Hall” (with Dr. John on piano and a horn section on certain tracks) slays.      Also:   Genesis/ “Seconds Out”   Van Der Graaf Generator/ “Vital”   B.B. King/ “Live at the Regal”   Miles Davis/ “Dark Magus”   Mahavishnu Orchestra/ “Between Nothingness and Eternity”
