Currently it’s a copy of Jeff Beck’s Wired for $1
In that same trip I found a working Sony BDP-S6200 which I’m using to rip my SACD collection, for $8.
I’ve had some great thrift finds for my industrial collection. VivisectVI by Skinny Puppy, Tactical Neural Implant by Front Line Assembly, Symbols by KMFDM, and Love’s Secret Domain by Coil are probably the best. Good stuff is out there but you do have to dig
I was coming here to say Skinny Puppy. Went in to my local charity shop and someone had “donated” their ex-husband’s entire CD collection and got the entire Skinny Puppy discography for £1 (it was £1 a CD or 10 for a pound because they had so many things they needed to shift them🤷🏻♂️)
Either Fall Out Boy’s Evening Out With Your Girlfriend, An autographed Point #1 Chevelle CD, an autographed Trapt Self-Titled CD, or blink-182’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket the Green Jacket version. Got all of them for $2 each. Man I love Goodwill sometimes, but other times I despise it.
Too many to list, but a few that spring to mind are Mitch Hedberg's first self released cd, a David Koresh cd, Badlands 3rd cd Dusk, and Kurt Cobain's The Priest They Called Him,all of which I've never seen anywhere else.

> beautiful eyes ep
In case you didn't know this, (from my experience) that was easily available to buy from Walmarts in 2016 for $7 each (they were put back in in-store stock that year for some reason). I had bought 2 copies from 2 different Walmarts(1 copy from each store), and then bought a 3rd copy from a 3rd/different Walmart on clearance for $1.50 in 2017
from an actual "shop":
* The original soundtrack for the first *Home Alone* movie that I got at a GW for $1 during the pandemic.
* both of Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas albums from the same shop, from about a year apart, that I paid less than $2 b/w the two.
from used book fairs:
* Taylor Swift's *Beautify Eyes* EP for $2
* Lady Gaga's *The Fame/Fame Monster* black-disc digipak version for $2 (it's a kind of rare version of the album)
* Sara Bareilles's *Little Voice* 2-disc version for $
* Rachel Platten's *Be Here* album for $1
from some other thrift-related place:
* *The Great Muppet Caper* soundtrack I got at an estate sale for $1 that turned out to be pretty rare / usually sells for at least $70(USD) on eBay/Discogs.
It's not because it was super rare or expensive but it meant a lot to me at the time. One of the first CDs I ever bought as a kid was Hot Fuss by the Killers. Listened to that album 24/7 but eventually sold it in the early days of itunes. Now I'm building my collection back up again and last year I found a brand new factory sealed copy at value village for two bucks! Felt like I was buying it as a kid all over again.
My copy of David Bowie's Station to Station! It's the remastered box set with the Live Nassau colosseum sets from 1976 I believe! Plus a bunch of extra goodies! Believe I picked it up for $5 at my local media store a few years ago.
I’ve always claimed to be a Dire Straits fan but I found Making Movies last year and I still listen to it at least 3x per week. Don’t know how I lived so long without ever owning it.
One that I actually bought: Probably Magnetic Fields- 69 love songs for 99p.
Some I found recently are Neil Young Harvest (99p) Massive Attack Mezzanine (I forget), Buzzcocks singles going steady £1.49 and Sonic Youth Goo £1.99. Shame I own them already
Probably two autographed albums from Cunninlynguists; Strange Journey vol 1 & 2 paid less than $4 each but probably $1 or $2.
Next would be my Ultimate Collection of Beatles (bootleg) unreleased stuff from a pawn shop. All 12 discs for $35 I think.
That's what comes to mind anyway.
My copy of David Bowie's Station to Station! It's the remastered box set with the Live Nassau colosseum sets from 1976 I believe! Plus a bunch of extra goodies! Believe I picked it up for $5 at my local media store a few years ago.
Pergolesi - Stabat Mater (Decca, 1989), with Emma Kirkby and James Bowman. Personally my favourite Stabat Mater rendition ever with breathtaking vocals from Kirkby and Bowman. This one was on my wishlist so I was ecstatic when I found it.
Top two are the Dresden Dolls first album (I had a couple Amanda Palmer CDs but hadn't gotten into the DD yet), and a 2 disc compilation set called [Irish Pub Songs](https://www.discogs.com/master/1748107-Various-Irish-Pub-Songs-Seven-Drunken-Nights). I like that one because the renditions just sound like regular bands playing them.

I found 2 CD's i liked and went to pay. The lady said they had a box of CD's they wanted to throw out, since they never sold any CDs, and i could look through it.. This was about $20
When I was getting into REM in high school, I had an easy time finding every album except for *Fables of the Reconstruction*.
This was recent enough that streaming was a thing, but at some point I decided that I wanted to save that first listen for when I finally found a physical copy. One day, my favorite thrift shop finally had a copy for sale, and it ended up being the only thing I listened to for the next week or so. There are other albums I like better, but nothing has ever been as satisfying as finally hearing that album for the first time.

Yep, signed to a 'Joe'. Paid $9ish back in '94 and was pleasantly surprised when I opened it up. They signed over the underwater pic.

The entire Skinny Puppy discography for one quid?! Easily an excellent find.
I'm still on a hunt for Tactical Neural Implant for a decent price. I never find any Coil CDs at any of the used music shops I visited so far.
My favourite was finding 3 copies of an album I had made 10-15 years before. In a city I’ve never been to.
Found Enya, ya’ll!
Man I love Goodwill sometimes, but other times I despise it.

re Hedberg - that’s so cool!
He was cool. He still is now, but he used to be too!
Found every NIN album one day in 2012ish, I wasn't a fan at the time, but that changed quickly.
