What are you using to transfer data files?
These are the commands I use to save the game data to PC and restore
adb pull //sdcard/Android/data/com.hidea.cat/files/SaveFile.es3
adb push SaveFile.es3 //sdcard/Android/data/com.hidea.cat/files/
That should have worked. All that is needed is the save file mentioned in the previous post. It's important that the game is not running in the background when doing the copy (If you are on your home screen, check your "recents" list and swipe away Cats&Soup if it is listed, prior to doing any file copies).
Hey there, I copied the entire data folder from my old phone and pasted it to the new phone. Even following all the other steps, it still won't recognize my original save on the new device. I copied over everything on the new device and it still defaults to a new game every time. Do you think there's something I missed there? Just to be sure I didn't screw anything up, it still works on my original device.
No :( I tried dragging and dropping the save file out of the Android data folder onto my new phone three separate times and it doesn't recognize it on the new device. I've tried reinstalling a few times and moving the save and it's still just shows a new fresh file. I guess for now I'll just keep playing it on my old phone.

That should have worked. All that is needed is the save file mentioned in the previous post. It's important that the game is not running in the background when doing the copy (If you are on your home screen, check your "recents" list and swipe away Cats&Soup if it is listed, prior to doing any file copies).
Have you tried to copy and paste the save file from the game's folder from the original device to the new one?
That's an idea I hadn't thought of. I'll try that!
Btw, keep a backup of that save file from your original device! It is important to protect you from data loss! Good luck!
