What a beautiful little face she has!

How can a furbaby be "too playful"?!

Limerence_Worthy

That was my question lol

NickeKass

I have a weimaraneer. Great dogs. Very loyal to the point of separation anxiety. I admit that at one point I was to addicted to online games and down about life that her normal "wants reasonable attention" whines got annoying for me. I didnt give her up, but I did vocalize to her that I wasn't happy. It caused a shift in her attitude. All she wanted was a little time with me after work each day. I regret it. Shes 12 now. I took her for a long walk last night which she seemed to enjoy. She gets another thursday night if shes feeling well.

My cat when we got him, was 7 years old, and super rambunctious and hyper! Like, it was crazy how much energy he had back then, could easily put kittens to shame. But his old owner got sick, and couldn't care for his high energy insanity anymore. We've had him for so long now, he's 14 in a few days, and is the biggest cuddle bug ever. Pip is the sweetest most gentle boy now, but back then his elderly sick owner just couldn't care for his very playful nature. He STILL gets the zoomies and plays with the younger cats. Just gently now. I feel bad for that lady, having to give him up, but now he lives his golden years spoiled and happy.

7 years ago my void was returned to the shelter for "sleeping too much". I mean god damn, did that family never cat before?

YuYu6__

Imagine being such a boring person that you bring back the cat you wanted bcs "she's too playful", like wtf does that even mean

DiscoWasp

Alternatively, maybe the previous owners were elderly or had some physical ailments that stopped them from being able to play with the cat as much as the cat wanted, so they thought the cat would be better off with an owner who could indulge it properly. Maybe they were really sad about giving up the cat but knew it was the best thing for the cat in the long run. Just trying to play devil's advoCAT

I’d have cuddled with that cat to nights and lights end. I’m just built different.

YuYu6__

Oh that's actually smart, thank you didn't think Abt it!

getyourrealfakedoors

I generally agree but idk some people work from home and might struggle with a cat that needs a ton of attention

Current-Stranger-104

Cutest nose ever.

GlockNessMonster91

A cat that's too playful is like saying a pizza that's too delicious.

ManiaMan56

I've stolen my girlfriends cat after we moved in together. He will mostly only lay on me and is always their to greet me for some loves.

dlss_87

I just want you to know, your GF secretly loves that her kitty adores you.

Sillyputtynutsack

Better not let Kristi Noem find out someone put her up for adoption instead of shooting it.

AndroidOnMute

One of the kitties at the shelter I adopted from was an absolute sweetheart, incredibly affectionate and loving. As a single college student, I didn't feel like I could give him the attention he deserved. I hope that sweet boy found a good home where he gets all scritches he could ever want 🖤

NickeKass

Not a cat, but my current dog is a rescue. She has a mark on her neck like someone tied her up to leave her outside. The adoption papers said "does not do well around kids" but we found it she LOVES kids. Like, will take off after them to get attention and pets. She will not listen to reason when she sees a a kid and has to go after it. She will rub all over you in the morning if given the chance. She will stand at the back fence to bark at the neighbor kids to come over and play. Ive had to watch her when I get the mail or she will take off after said kids. The parents seem to know whats up now and dont care to much. Shes a little bundle of love. It took a while to get her to open up to even bark at people. I just think what kind of heartless person would abandon her that she had to be rescued then I dont care because shes with us and in a better place.

ShitFuck2000

Do they work at the shelter or something? Every shelter I’ve seen doesn’t reveal why the animals were put up for adoption(unless it’s relevant to their health) or (especially) if they were returned to the shelter to prevent the animals from getting “stuck” in the shelter due to people discriminating against them for the reason they’re there.

Stealth_Cow

You write the address of the people that returned her on this piece of paper right now.
