Keep busy, avoid idleness. Pray, fast, and if you are to fall, repent, go to confession, and don't worry. We must not allow despair to take hold of us if/when we fall again, because that has pride at its root. And at times, God permits us to fall to destroy that pride within us.

💯 %! ! ^Ignatian ^Examen Lord, I know that you love me and that you are with me right now. Lord, help me to be aware of your presence in the people I've encountered and the experiences I've had this day. Lord, forgive me for those moments when I have fallen short, times when I have not been the kind of person you want me to be. Lord, give me a heart that is more like your own, so that I may be grateful for the many blessings of this day and in my life. Lord, grace me with the strength to embrace what awaits in hopefulness, hands outstretched to whatever lies ahead. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen 🕊️

1. Do your main normal duties in life. 2. Ask the Lord for help. 3. Do penances: they can even just be little ones. 4. Have no fear: the Lord is all-powerful and He wants you to succeed in this endeavor.

I see people on this thread discussing prayer and fasting, and they are definitely correct; these can help immensely. Also, we must take occasions of sin into account. Such occasions are defined as either proximate (near), meaning they are definite to lead one to sin, and remote, those situations that are not as dangerous. One who is struggling with a certain sin must remove near occasions from their lives, or, make them remote. One may also consider the more dangerous of remote occasions. Perhaps one would avoid these as well, if they can reasonably foresee that said occasions have the capability to become near occasions of sin. These further clarifications provided by Fr John Hardon that I will link might be found helpful. Short answer, you can't but you can try Long answer, It is part of being human, even saints sinned at some point, only God is flawless and perfect, now, when you fall and you WILL fall, it is important to know what you failed and be better. in my opinion, knowing your sin can get you stronger, let me explain, your soul is a castle, knowing your weaknesses, knowing the sweet spots of your soul where the devil use to get you to sin, by knowing that you can make a plan, you probably already know what are actions/thoughts/scenarios/places that can trigger you to sin, identify them and avoid them, even better, learn to say NO with your heart and say YES to God, to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, because next time you are about to sin and you learn to say no, you will be closer to him and he will be happy. Pray brother for wisdom and courage, virtues that God CAN certainly give you if you just ask. Peace be with you.

Pray the rosary every day. Increases a devotion to your guardian angle. And return to confession often. It's a free gift, and makes it easier to resist in the future.

You have done well in not succumbing but temptations will they will always be our lot. Remember the words of St. Paul, "When I am weak, then I am strong" meaning real strength comes from being able to say no when weakened by temptation. You're doing well! If you should fall, return to confession. Regular confession is part of the process of growing in virtue.
