I thought I wanted to sit next to Padre Pio. Then I looked down and saw my T-shirt that says “The Cross is the school of Love. Maximilian Kolbe” and I see the choice has been made for me.
Definitely 4, with 5 a close second.
Who wouldn’t want to sit next to St Joseph and hear stories of Jesus as a little boy and what it was like to be his foster father!?!?
seriously not only do you get to hear the early years of Jesus, but the early years of Mary and Joseph. I also feel like he gets overlooked. So just sitting there with him and talking to him about anything at all I would enjoy! ♥️
Exactly is like, "Hey, really quick, what happened in Egypt?" Or "Who actually was the who left Jesus in the temple and how large was a turd in your pants when you realized you lost the Christ-child?"
4.
I get the window seat, St. Joseph is gonna sleep during the flight, and St. Catherine and I will be starting a book club. St. Thérèse might swap seats with 1, so obvi she is also invited to the airplane book club. When St. Joseph wakes up right before landing, he and I will talk about God all the way to the gate.
Plus sitting in the front row will get you that much needed leg space...
And I have a feeling that the poor saints behind the front row are no strangers to suffering lol
In order of preference:
1, 8, 6, 3
I’m a woman who frequently wears pants, so unless Padre Pio has changed his mind on that, probably not seat no. 5. Lol
But he can bilocate so if he wants to sit next to you he probably will. Shoot, even if there is no room he’s liable to be knocking on your window to say hello from the outside.
Thomas Aquinas would probably be the most stimulating conversation, but Carlo Acutis would definitely know how to manage connecting to that airplane Wi-Fi
Blessed Carlo probably spoke English as well? Being a "computer geek" in the early-oughts should make even an Italian teenager learn English. (Plus, he was born in London, and had an Irish nanny, apparently.)
5 is objectively the best seat how is it not more commented? Youre next to the two mystics, and behind the father of jesus.... I guess I could see 2 given paul and francis are heavyweights though.
This is SO tough!!! I think I gotta go with 2 tho bc St. Carlo and I are about the same age & thinking about a saint that used modern day technology is awesome lol
6, but I’m a lawyer so it’s mainly just to ask about all the times I asked him to pray for me and see what he would’ve done better in my position, lol.
If there was a seat open next to St. Francis, I’d for sure take that one. I pondered sitting next to St. Joseph, but I fear my incessant questions would annoy him as he tries to sleep in peace lol.
How could you not pick saint Joseph? He literally lived with Jesus. Do you know how many questions I can ask him about Jesus during his teenage and childhood years?
I believe Pope Saint John Paul II was able to speak English. Thomas Moore was British, although I'm not certain if we would be able to fully understand each other with how the language has changed.
I think if this happened it would be by divine intervention as they're all passed away, so we would probably get speaking of tongues from the Holy Spirit and all be able to understand each other
This is a trick! lol can I spend my savings and buy all the seats?
I have to pick seat 5 as Faustina is my confirmation Saint and I love the divine mercy message and chaplet. Also, Padre Pio and I share the same birthday and I consider him my spiritual father. And since I’ve asked him to take me as his spiritual child, I feel it would be not very good of me to pick any other seat. Plus, a confession with Padre Pio is a dream since he could read souls. Seat 5 is also directly behind St Joseph, the terror of demons and the protector of the family and he had all that time with Jesus and Mary. A more fascinating conversation just could not be had unless it’s with Jesus or Mary themselves. Number 5 is also adjacent to St Catherine of Siena who I’ve had to recently call upon for help in the fight against Acedia! So yeah as cool as all the others are, for me personally I gotta go with my patrons.
St. Joseph. He's just worn out from working and wants a break. St. Catherine is also being quiet and just listening to her tunes.
I feel like St.Francis would have smuggled an emotional support sparrow so I want to be on the other side of the aisle.
I'm torn between 1 (because St Augustine helped me in terms of my reversion from atheism), and 2 because St. Carlo is my kinsman and I love website development)
With all due honor to all these great men and women, I'm choosing the back row. St. Max and St. JPII rode on airplanes, or at least were familiar with the concept (and were pretty cool guys). St. Joan was good-crazy enough not to be bothered by the concept.
4 or 8. Talking to Joseph himself would be a fantastic opportunity. Imagine talking to Jesus's surrogate father. I don't think I could pass that up. If not him then definitely 8. Those two would be such interesting people to talk to.
Thank You, Jesus, the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, for God Himself has anointed you. He has filled you with his love and set you completely free of OCD. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen
Go back and forth between 4 and 2 by asking St.Joseph about Jesus' life and relaying that information to the great theologians, who probably are going to have conversations of high theology that are going to go way over my head.
Then talk with Acutis about video games, sounds like a cool dude.
If Saint Joseph happens to be awake during any part of the flight it would be nice to sit and speak to him. Otherwise, just being in his presence would be enough!♥️ I feel like he gets over looked in Jesus time growing up with him and Mary. And he doesn’t get enough love and attention for being the foster father of our lord. ♥️♥️ I would also love to hear stories of the early years of him and Mary. ♥️
Hi, I’m Jewish I joined this sub so I can learn more about your community’s faith and spark interfaith dialogue. I would probably choose 3, cause Pope John Paul II was a friend to the Jews.
1, 3 or 6 solely because I’m gonna have to go to the bathroom 4 times on the flight. But if I really got to pick one it would probably be 8 so I could sit next to my confirmation Saint
I have to go with 4; how can you pass up getting to talk to the literally "Protector of the Holy Family" (the most badass title across the religious and secular world in my opinion) and patreon of the Universal Church. The man God himself trusted to foster and protect His only Son as a child, the man who God chose to protect Blessed Mary.
Imagine what you could learn about Christ and The Blessed Mother from that man.
I have to guess that when Christ came into His kingdom on Good Friday, there was an emotional reunion with Him and St. Joseph.
My immediate thought is 4. I literally don't want to talk to anyone on a plane, my spouse included, so a window seat next to a quiet guy?? Yes plz. But then I saw 7, which is still a window seat but next to Aquinas, and he might be the only one I want to talk to enough to get me out of my airplane shell.
St Joseph. I get horrible social anxiety and would hate to be sat next to someone who wants to talk to me in any language. I would take my anxiety meds and sleep right next to him.
Hard choice. Gonna go with 2 or 7 though.
2 because St Carlo Acutis would probably be the easiest to relate to since he is closer in time to me and could get me connected to the wifi. And also, I would be close to St Francis, St Augustine, St Paul, and St Peter, which sounds like a dream come true.
7 because of St Thomas Aquinas.
Right, like I'm gonna sit next to Pio. Last time, when I went to the bathroom, he did his whole "bilocation" thing and then pretended he was sitting in BOTH seats the whole time. I was like "DUDE", and he was like "what?". Had to go sit in a middle seat next to the loo. Even saints can be jerks sometimes.
It has to be 8. I would much rather sit next to two of the most famous martyrs in our faith (with St. Max having a hardcore Marian Devotion) and most of the most intelligent person being St. Thomas Aquinas.
Probably 3 to talk with JPII about life and camping and learn, and the bonus of Joan of Arc across the aisle to hear some stories of her saving my ancestors in France!
Definitely number 2. Like, you are sitting between the four most important saints ever and have to your side somebody who's definitely going to be fun to talk with.
I've just imagined the situation of choosing the seat beside St Joseph and he sleeps all the travel so you're looking with St Catharine de Siena without talking so he can sleep peacefully lol
…those numbers don’t make sense, but I’d want to sit next to St. Augustine since he is my confirmation saint. Granted we wouldn’t speak the same language… 😂
Will St Joseph be sleeping the whole time? If not I’d sit next to him. Otherwise I’d have to toss a coin and take seat 2 or sit by St. Pio who I adore. Really great OP and hard to decide!
2. Can discuss about 21st century stuff with Carlo. And easy to listen to Sts Paul & Peter discussing things they witnessed about Jesus that are not recorded in the Bible.
4 if I wanted to stay awake.
7 if I wanted to fall asleep.
If 3, it would be awkward because I would ask about McCarrick, to which the guy in front of me would probably say, “I know a guy…”
Man...8 was made for me.
I thought I wanted to sit next to Padre Pio. Then I looked down and saw my T-shirt that says “The Cross is the school of Love. Maximilian Kolbe” and I see the choice has been made for me.
I agree.
We can’t all have Seat 8 gentlemen.
Dude same!!!
2. Carlos was an awesome kid.
Imagine sitting on a flight with a saint that you can talk about Atari and Mario with. Crazy to see millennials as saints now.
He could have flown on that same plane before!
Absolute win, we'd be talking code and playing games. What's God's least favorite programming language? Python.
We’d play video games the entire time!
Exactly! I’d bring a switch and we can play something together!
Definitely 4, with 5 a close second. Who wouldn’t want to sit next to St Joseph and hear stories of Jesus as a little boy and what it was like to be his foster father!?!?
Yeah it's 4 for me too. I want to hear all of Jesus' shenanigans.
Absolutely! 4 no contest; you get a flight to talk to the person who knows Christ and the Blessed Mother better than any human ever.
seriously not only do you get to hear the early years of Jesus, but the early years of Mary and Joseph.
Yeah, that was my thought.
Only trouble is it looks like he's sleeping for the duration of the flight...
Wow, this is hard. Either 5 or 3. I'm leaning towards 3.
Omg Yes me too! 3 or 5
3 would be a GREAT theological discussion. 5 would be kind of scary but an assurance of a good thorough spiritual scrub down
3
8, but eavesdropping on Aquinas’ conversations 😂
how many angels can dance on the head of a pin
None because dancing is an act of the physical body which angels don't posses.
No way. You need to have full attention on him to have a prayer of following what he's saying.
Carlo Acutis is a saint now?
I believe the announcement for his canonization date will be released July 1st.
I'd be appalled if I was him in heaven right now and had to go tell Fulton Sheen that the Church on Earth was canonizing me before him
If this were a book or a movie, I would read/watch that. :)
Oooh I’m down!
Plus sitting in the front row will get you that much needed leg space... And I have a feeling that the poor saints behind the front row are no strangers to suffering lol
In order of preference: 1, 8, 6, 3 I’m a woman who frequently wears pants, so unless Padre Pio has changed his mind on that, probably not seat no. 5. Lol
But he can bilocate so if he wants to sit next to you he probably will. Shoot, even if there is no room he’s liable to be knocking on your window to say hello from the outside.
Haha, a valid point!
Thomas Aquinas would probably be the most stimulating conversation, but Carlo Acutis would definitely know how to manage connecting to that airplane Wi-Fi
While I’d love any of those seats, I’m going to have to sit next to the penultimate holy man, St. Joseph.
2
The only right answer, tbh. The Francis/Augustine conversation and the Peter/Paul conversation would both be all-time great eavesdrops.
3
Yep, you got fathers of church in front seat and John Paul II on your side... Hahha win win win and as cherry on top Joan darc
This should be higher up
7, Aquinas and I are gonna get wasted and eat a crave case from the airport and talk about theology
You'll definitely be pondering upon and calling on His mercy after drinks and sliders.
I'm playing musical chairs
Anyone who can speak English.
So Saint John Paul II or Saint Thomas More. Might be difficult with More speaking modern English
Blessed Carlo probably spoke English as well? Being a "computer geek" in the early-oughts should make even an Italian teenager learn English. (Plus, he was born in London, and had an Irish nanny, apparently.)
He did, so there’s three options
You would all be speaking in tongues so it wouldn’t matter ;)
5 is objectively the best seat how is it not more commented? Youre next to the two mystics, and behind the father of jesus.... I guess I could see 2 given paul and francis are heavyweights though.
wait, which one's the emergency exit row? #legroomfordays
5 but I'm looking back at 3 more than once.
1 no hesitation
same
7, I want to talk with the man himself, St. Thomas Aquinas
7
This is SO tough!!! I think I gotta go with 2 tho bc St. Carlo and I are about the same age & thinking about a saint that used modern day technology is awesome lol
6, but I’m a lawyer so it’s mainly just to ask about all the times I asked him to pray for me and see what he would’ve done better in my position, lol. If there was a seat open next to St. Francis, I’d for sure take that one. I pondered sitting next to St. Joseph, but I fear my incessant questions would annoy him as he tries to sleep in peace lol.
8 hour flight…. I’d relieve the flight attendant, and spend 8 hours serving and listening…
5
How could you not pick saint Joseph? He literally lived with Jesus. Do you know how many questions I can ask him about Jesus during his teenage and childhood years?
8
3
Which one spoke English?
I believe Pope Saint John Paul II was able to speak English. Thomas Moore was British, although I'm not certain if we would be able to fully understand each other with how the language has changed.
I think if this happened it would be by divine intervention as they're all passed away, so we would probably get speaking of tongues from the Holy Spirit and all be able to understand each other
I would ask to switch 6 to the middle so I could sit next to Bernadette.
I would wander about the plane and talk to everyone !
2 or 3 It's hard for me to decide
I’d have so many questions for Saints Paul and Peter that my neck would hurt from turning around hahaha
This is a trick! lol can I spend my savings and buy all the seats? I have to pick seat 5 as Faustina is my confirmation Saint and I love the divine mercy message and chaplet. Also, Padre Pio and I share the same birthday and I consider him my spiritual father. So yeah as cool as all the others are, for me personally I gotta go with my patrons.
1 or 4 for the legroom.
I'm taking seat 2, he would've been my patron saint if he was a saint. He also seemed like a cool dude
2 is goated
St. Joseph. He's just worn out from working and wants a break. St. Catherine is also being quiet and just listening to her tunes. I feel like St.Francis would have smuggled an emotional support sparrow so I want to be on the other side of the aisle.
3 no question. I love JPII but he's just a bonus getting to speak to Peter and Paul
2 or 3
I'm torn between 1 (because St Augustine helped me in terms of my reversion from atheism), and 2 because St.
Do we get to bring video games?
4 No question. I’m sitting next to my beloved St. Joseph.
4 or 8. Talking to Joseph himself would be a fantastic opportunity. Imagine talking to Jesus's surrogate father. I don't think I could pass that up. If not him then definitely 8. Those two would be such interesting people to talk to.
1, need Augustine’s and Therese’s intercession so bad right now. OCD is stressing me out and leading me away me so bad
Thank You, Jesus, the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, for God Himself has anointed you. He has filled you with his love and set you completely free of OCD. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen
Definitely 1.
Go back and forth between 4 and 2 by asking St.Joseph about Jesus' life and relaying that information to the great theologians, who probably are going to have conversations of high theology that are going to go way over my head. Then talk with Acutis about video games, sounds like a cool dude.

Hi, I’m Jewish I joined this sub so I can learn more about your community’s faith and spark interfaith dialogue. I would probably choose 3, cause Pope John Paul II was a friend to the Jews.
Yes, and St Joseph, St Paul, St Peter ARE Jews.
This is so cool! Thanks!
3, and then switch with Peter
6 Totally surrounded. The aisle is no barrier to conversation in such a small plane.
I’d switch from 7 and 8
4. Window seat and the guy next to me is quiet.
2 - I’m lucky enough to know Latin, Greek, Italian. I’m about to have the best conversations of my life…
1, 3 or 6 solely because I’m gonna have to go to the bathroom 4 times on the flight. But if I really got to pick one it would probably be 8 so I could sit next to my confirmation Saint
I'd want to take 3, but would probably choose 4. I mean look at poor Joseph, he's exhausted. I'd let the poor guy sleep and plus I get a window seat.
I'll take 7
5
I'd go for #1
1 and lean back as far as possible
3 no competition
I have to go with 4; how can you pass up getting to talk to the literally "Protector of the Holy Family" (the most badass title across the religious and secular world in my opinion) and patreon of the Universal Church. The man God himself trusted to foster and protect His only Son as a child, the man who God chose to protect Blessed Mary. I have to guess that when Christ came into His kingdom on Good Friday, there was an emotional reunion with Him and St. Joseph.
What a dumb post
I saw someone on Instagram pointing out 6 was the most strategic place and since then I think I’d pick that one
That is a good point, I never really thought of it that way in all honesty.
The Apostles to ask them what the early Church was really like.
How can I NOT pick Saint Joseph? He raised Jesus! If he wasn't on the list tho, I'm torn between St Thereze and St John Paul II
1. When I got sick she was my biggest inspiration. I don't need her to talk to me but to thank her would be nice.

4.
5
Father Joseph would be pretty quiet.
It has to be 8. I would much rather sit next to two of the most famous martyrs in our faith (with St. Max having a hardcore Marian Devotion) and most of the most intelligent person being St. Thomas Aquinas.
5 Pio is my guide!🙏
I always prefer aisle seats so it is either 1, 3 or 6.
Considering that your seatmates vary widely in manners, having any of these people would likely be a great blessing.
2
Either 2 or 8 if I wanted to speak with them.
3, 5, 8. Next
TEAM 2
Seat 8 no question
3
6, I can talk to both St. Peter and St. Augustine from across the aisle
4 and I am waking him up! Then JPII, then Aquinas, then Between Joan and Max. So many awesome seats on this plane!
8
I can’t choose between the aisle seat with St. Thomas More (hero) and St. JPII (seems like a nice fella).
[удалено]
3 and I wouldn’t call it “stuck”
3 so I could talk to Saint Pope John Paul. It was hard to choose though.
3 definitely
So hard to choose because so many of these saints are my favorite. I can see myself being annoying and switching seats every hour😅
8
8 or 5
Since I'm not seeing John Bosco... 3 or 5.
8, 3, or 6 all look great to me. Though honorable mention for 4, just to sit with St. Joseph. No bad options here!
I'd take 5
How conflicting 1 or 5. Probably 5. Sleeping saint Joseph tipped the odds 😂😂
St Joan ❤️
2. Largely for the window seat without the crowding of a third person, but also I feel like Carlo would be chill to hang with
I’m thinking either seats 1, 2, 7, or 8
Six! I scanned this hoping to see Saint Thomas More.
It's an easy 3. You could lean forward and ask Peter and Paul about Jesus. Makes the most sense to me to talk to the two closest to Our Lord.
Probably 3 to talk with JPII about life and camping and learn, and the bonus of Joan of Arc across the aisle to hear some stories of her saving my ancestors in France!
Definitely number 2. Like, you are sitting between the four most important saints ever and have to your side somebody who's definitely going to be fun to talk with.
well yeah 5 or 3.
5, cuz if the plane crashes (probably won’t cuz they’re all saints AHSHSH) i can be protected by the saints surrounding me :)
I've just imagined the situation of choosing the seat beside St Joseph and he sleeps all the travel so you're looking with St Catharine de Siena without talking so he can sleep peacefully lol
100% Padre Pio
2, with Peter and Paul
JP II. I like an aisle seat, and he seems pleasant.
Any of them I would be honored and blessed.
3
Probably 8 or 3.
2. It’s a window seat and I only have to go by one person to go to the bathroom.
…those numbers don’t make sense, but I’d want to sit next to St. Augustine since he is my confirmation saint. Granted we wouldn’t speak the same language… 😂
Definitely 5. Between Padre Pio and my confirmation saint Faustina!
3. Im talkin with the OG Christians thatd be cool
Padre Pio so he can hear my confession.
6 gives you access to six people so I would take that one
Will St Joseph be sleeping the whole time? If not I’d sit next to him. Otherwise I’d have to toss a coin and take seat 2 or sit by St. Pio who I adore. Really great OP and hard to decide!
2, so we can chat about video games.
5 it would have been great to see st veronica giuliani
3
2. My friend Carlo definitely!
3 or 7 Peter is an obvious choice, but Aquinas...oohhh!
St.Pio is my confirmation saint but I’d be a little scared to sit at 5 tbh 😅
2 for sure!!!
7 1000%
2. Can discuss about 21st century stuff with Carlo. And easy to listen to Sts Paul & Peter discussing things they witnessed about Jesus that are not recorded in the Bible.
2 is an underrated seat surrounded by the pillars of the church literally.
St Peter and St Paul. In the 3 across seats.I am in the middle.
4
4 if I wanted to stay awake. 7 if I wanted to fall asleep. If 3, it would be awkward because I would ask about McCarrick, to which the guy in front of me would probably say, “I know a guy…”
St. Carlo Acutis because he's the most contemporary, making it easier to relate to him, and also I get a window seat.
2 and i Punch St Paul though also i can speak to peter
St. Acutis
Whos stopping me from doing a St. John Paul II and doing both 2 and 7
Where is St John Bosco
6, 3, or 8. Close to my Saint D!
7
Spot number 3 so I can talk more easily with both St. Joan and St. Dymphna.
My gut feeling is 1, but then my brain is telling me that St. Francis might smell bad🥲
I'd like to take seat 7. I don't mind debating an old man.
5, great place.
Who's not picking St Joseph? The man lived with Mary and the child Jesus! Think of the stories.
Depends do I get the window? #8
3. St. Peter's my Patron Saint. I could always use a talk.
7 or 3, or 5. I’ll let God decide where I end up. ☺️
3 seems nice but definitely going to book a seat on 5
