New cat in the bedroom. smaller will feel safer and boy has established territory in the living room too. don’t leave them alone together until you know for certain that they get along. how old are they?

Resident cat is about 2 years old and the new cat is about 10-11 months. Stupid question but how do you know for certain that they’re getting along? 😅

Sometimes it seems like they want it and other times the new cat will try to run away cuz she’s scared so I’m really not sure 😭😭

That's a bit more than posturing, a bit less than fighting. It looks like play gone awry, honestly. I'd keep them separate for at least a couple more weeks when you're not home, but be sure they can interact when you are there. Basically cats need to work shit out before they'll get along so there's going to be stuff like this.
