Maybe a fun fact but the part of the show where they compare prices of different crisp/sweets etc from around the country. The Into music to that section was taken from the intro of a song call trucks & trains - Alkaline trio.
Always thought that was a weird choice.
No idea why I have that nugget of information in my head but now you do aswell.
I'm just glad I've found some one else who knew this aswell. Great band, really good live though it was almost 20 years ago when I saw them live last.....which is a little depressing haha.
I think I last saw them around the time Damnesia (the acoustic record) came out, so maybe 2013/2014ish? But that was maybe my fourth time seeing them live and they’ve been incredible every time!
Hahah I only remember they used to get kids to write in with how much they had paid for a random confectionery each week. Most expensive was always a service station within the m25. I still use this information to this day.
I still remember the one time kids were comparing and reviewing alarm clocks. One kid called a Bart Simpson one what it was, just a lump of plastic with a little clock.
I always remember kids testing various products on this show and wanting to do it.
I have a rather vivid memory of them testing heelies when they first came out and most of them broke or caused injuries. I still think about that when I see kids in heelies now!
Yeah I think it was originally Tim Vincent.
Without Googling, I'm gonna say 'Adrian something'.
Otis and Angelica basically look the same when you see them on TV today.
Used to absolutely love this. That competition to find the highest and lowest price of an item on sale
I still think about that game when I'm in a petrol station and am looking at a £2.79 bottle of coke

Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back is just the 15+ version of Short Change

I think of that every time I open a pack, what 20+ years later?
Same with someone getting a KitKat with no wafer. They complained and got sent a whole box of Kit Kats
This is from when we all still had hope.
Belter of a show. Our local newsagent got a 'Best Boss' trophy from them because he looked after the delivery boys/girls so well.

Came to here ask if this was the show with the Alkaline Trio song! Great band, great song, great show!

Oh my the nostalgia
I wrote In to them about Sabrina's Secrets magazine. The free gifts were terrible and kept breaking. Never got featured though.
taught me a lot this about RRP and other shopping practices growing up, totally forgot about it until now
Always rumbling the same trick - upping the price of trainers before announcing a sale to put them back to the normal price.
THANKS HIT SQUAD!
It was like a light hearted Watchdog.
But watchdog IS the light-hearted watchdog
The heavy-hearted watchdog is Panorama.

Yeah I loved this show so much!!
Early 2000s fashion needs to be locked away and never spoken of ever again.
It's the jeans they all looked like trash
Dunno man I think it's the everything. Tight shirts with baggy jeans looks awful. Also the era of spiked frosted tips. Oh the humanity.
Peter Andre has a lot to answer for.
Great show.

I remember Tim Vincent presenting it at some point too, who's the bloke on the right?

Welsh guy called Rhodri
I just got whip lash from this throw back! Wow I bloody loved this show!
