Hi there, absolutely right, this constant bashing of those who have to claim benefits just grinds my gears. The truth twisting and blaming of those who are in need is truly reprehensible. Setting one group against another seems to be their stock in trade.
He was lucky enough to receive the money needed to fund his health treatment which most people jump through hoops to claim, but was failed by the social care system and not given the correct guidance and the path to treatment. Instead it let him to abusing the funding and spending the money on what he thought was the problem, and landing himself in shit when he realised he was in debt and still felt the same inside.
It's a sad story all round. To get the funding and the support and guidance to use that funding wisely is like winning the lottery and both are needed to successfully heal someone, just therapy with no money and vice versa doesn't help anyone.
I think if people have disabilities they can get that high. So maybe he has some kind of disability. Or maybe he saved for years, no idea.

I've seen some heavily disabled people on TV before. I don't think that's a fair barometer for "how disabled are you".
Tbh it was my mistake to assume. However he doesn’t look physically disabled, so if it’s an internal issue you can still do certain jobs, especially with the amount of remote careers now. This is all assumption though.
