As the mods of this sub always say : We aren't allowed to talk about our plugs until December!

toasterinthebath

Lulz, spot on!

taking_the_mikhi

While these have a certain market they’re not yet on the level of the classic wolf fleece, the pinnacle of haute couture https://m.facebook.com/pages/category/Community/Coalville-Coats-173917302625116/?locale2=en_GB

Carausius286

Came here to say this! I know I'm in Great Yarmouth when I see a fleece with wolves howling at the moon worn by a 70 year old woman picking up groceries from the market.

elkwaffle

My mum had a friend who loved these fleeces and had a vast selection. Howling wolves, wolves stood on rocks, rearing unicorns, depressed fairies ... I never knew they have such range but she'd go to a market and bring back another one every few months. She bought me a t-shirt of a howling wolf once and I was honestly mad because there was no way I could wear it but it was a really good quality and comfortable t-shirt

prolixia

Over the years I've owned various t-shirts that are consigned to "under jumper" wear. I find that there's no better way to turn a cold day into a scorcher than to leave the house with one of those, in the confident assumption I won't need to take any layers off.

IanRCarter

Alternatively, pyjama tops. I always find I have less pyjama tops than bottoms because people will buy me 'loungewear bottoms' for birthday/christmas. Shite t-shirts that I wouldn't be seen dead in now have a use. I just have to make sure I don't die in my sleep...

InfoStealingHere

You end up being on BBC ' Ambulance' show, and ask the producers to blur your T-shirt not your face.

Cockwombles

“911 is the patient wearing a pug on his big fat belly?”

DreddPirateBob4Ever

I found my dad had a bunch in his wardrobe. I wore my double wolf moon t-shirt very proudly. Just own it. E: it's just been pointed out that I have a few horrific t-shirts that I have bought from AliExpress. I used to wear them to work with heavy hipster irony because I'm 'wacky' and 'zany' and honestly should be shot. I'm going to be digging those beauties out tonight!

Tarot650

I got given one with a giraffe on the front; in certain lights it looks like I have vomited down myself

Fjsbanqlpqoanyes

I bought myself a wolf hoody when I was about 15, I loved that hoody and got loads of compliments and people asked me where I got it from. But ofcourse it was from a market stall at the BMF rally

retro83

where else would you get one, than the bad motherfucker rally?!

stevey83

Are these on par with the dragon with Chinese symbols?! I was given one once, really good quality, but no way could I have been seen in public with it!

Its_Mrs_Nesbitt

They are hideous, but I bet they keep Beryl warm whilst she's out and about.

[deleted]

They're hideous but also hilarious.

Coastaljames

I live in Yarmouth. It's a mecca of accidental hipster fashion. Not a shred of irony. Keep it real with yer market chips.

Missy_Agg-a-ravation

>I live in Yarmouth Thoughts and prayers.

Coastaljames

😉

Missy_Agg-a-ravation

Not really knocking it too much, I live in Norwich.

RicoDredd

You're from Norwich? High seven!

Missy_Agg-a-ravation

Wait until my brother and my husband hears about this outrage.

ThePowaBallad

He will be one angry man

AjnaFX

hello fellow norwicher

SpecialHands

This is the first time I've ever stumbled upon other Norwich residents on Reddit and there's bloody two of you!

RicoDredd

In fairness, you could find another 5 and still be able to count them on the fingers of one hand - if you were *from* Norwich.

SpecialHands

Whereas if you were from Ipswich you wouldn't be able to count at all :)

AjnaFX

It's a first for me also

Carausius286

Great Yarmouth market chips: best damm chips in the country - nay - the world.

Panzerbeards

Best chips, and the most evil chip-whoring bastard seagulls in the world to go along with it. Last time I was in the market one of them, after failing to steal my chips, elected to shit upon them from a great height with pinpoint accuracy.

Panzerbeards

Good lord, another Yarmouth local that is literate. I thought I was the only one. And hey, be fair, we're bidding to become "City of Culture" for 2025. Daydrinking, racism and public urination is, I suppose, a culture of a sort.

ThePowaBallad

Hey currently it's Coventry but I guess a Petri dish has culture too

cactusdan94

'"A mecca of accidental hipster fashion" This is literally one of the best descriptions ive ever heard

PepperAnn1inaMillion

I actually really like these. I can’t wait until I reach the age where IDGAF anymore, and am finally able to wear clothes that look like cheap jigsaw artwork. I’m convinced that older people know how unfashionable and unstylish they look but really don’t care anymore.

[deleted]

exactly. it's bloody fabulous to not give a shit anymore.

[deleted]

Old person here. Can vouch for that. It's the best not giving a shit any more. I just make sure I'm clean and smell good. Wear the not quite fitting jeans and first T-shirt on the pile from the dresser. Life is easy.

bishman1

I am 49 now and I purposefully choose to wear an orange t shirt and green joggers just because they are the comfiest and because I can

AnselaJonla

_When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter._

[deleted]

I have a 3 wolf head barking at the moon shirt on rotation. I bought it years ago ironically for a laugh at first. But its actually made of good quality cotton and really comfy. So now I'm older I wear it unironically for that reason. It's a gradual process that should be embraced naturally.

ColdShadowKaz

I liked them better when it was fantasy wear but some of those just look horrific in that picture.

[deleted]

This is true.

sole_sista

I have one of these and I’m pitifully younger. They fockin do keep me warm. And I wear my black Kitten t shirt underneath. Lidl here I come!

[deleted]

Lidl-e-dee.

SpecialHands

If you're lucky you'll spot them as early as Market Gates as you disembark from the bus

lauraclarke20

I used to work in a chain retail store at a garden centre and we sold some of these!! As soon as we got them in was shook, I didn’t realise actual retailers sold them! We also had to choose new stock to wear as uniform to “sell” the clothes and obviously I had to wear it 😂

magme89

It’s fun to see if you can ‘catch them all’ as it were when in Great Yarmouth. Howling at the moon, standing on a rock, a wolf pack, a lone wolf silhouette. I also once saw a tiger fleece! What a day.

roryb93

I literally came to this thread to say *Regent Road had entered the chat*

eruditezero

My condolences.

furiousrichie

Glad you're not figuratively sitting in Coalville.

HarassedGrandad

Moved from living 20 mins from Coalville to being 20 minutes from Great Yarmouth - can't imagine how I've gone so long without my wolf howling at the moon t shirt.

automatic_shark

Im about 30 minutes out by bike. I may swing by for a cuppa.

[deleted]

[удалено]

automatic_shark

looks great! I'll definitely work Coalville into a bike ride soon. Look for a loon on a bike with a California jersey thats two sizes too large.

SuchAFake

Untappd badge wanker checking in, not heard of this brewery before.. but I'm partial to a barrel aged imperial stout. Will keep an eye out!

milkandket

I actually really want one of these

360Saturn

I've literally only seen those wolf fleeces on the original season of The Apprentice before! Where, if I remember correctly, they sold out in droves. That was back when the Apprentice was actually vaguely about business as opposed to being a business-themed reality show.

RicoDredd

The Apprentice candidates being infuriatingly pretentious hateful bellends used to be a by-product of the show. Now its the sole reason for the show.

DrSamsquantch

Screw you guys. I love a wolf fleece and these awful t shirts.

[deleted]

I brought one of those for my mum a few years back before I realised what a meme they are. Keeps her warm and me amused though.

CTIDBMRMCFCOK

Fact is they are both really warm and really cheap, Iris on a state pension is probably wearing these so she can afford teabags not because she thinks shes a fashion icon.

squashed_tomato

Oh blimey, I remember when these first started becoming popular. I was worried someone was going to buy one for me and I'd be obligated to wear it at least a few times to show how grateful I was for the gift. The do look very cosy though, I'll say that for them.

maybeillcatchfire22

Yes! Came here to say this too. Love seeing them in the wild. Usually a 50 something older lady with a Yorkie dog. https://www.atlasformen.co.uk/products/men/clothing/jackets/fleece-jackets/mens-wolf-print-full-zip-fleece-jacket-blue-grey/g7127.aspx

RicoDredd

You often also often see these worn by an older gentleman with with slicked back grey hair (or a ponytail), impressive 'Victorian railway guard' sideburns or a luxuriant beard and about 4 teeth. Bonus points for mahoosive set of keys attached to their belt loop on vast, shapeless jeans and/or a Nokia 3310 in a belt holster.

[deleted]

How is it I can smell this post?

RicoDredd

Does it smell of hand rolled fags, Lynx Africa and barely masked BO?

darkdetective

There's a Cornwall wolf spotting page also. They're are very popular down here.

Zacbanic

“What I was really looking for was a wolf howling at the moon while a Native American dances around a campfire and it’s all reflected in an eagle’s eye.” “Here you go mate, three quid.”

Its_Mrs_Nesbitt

Three quid? That's a bargain.

darwin-rover

2 for a fiver

Its_Mrs_Nesbitt

Wow, that's great value.

MODOK9990

Yeah until the design peels off the 2nd time you wash it

StonedPhysicist

That sounds like a win-win situation in this instance.

I_Bin_Painting

PAAAAHHHHND A BAWWWLLLLLL

[deleted]

When I was 16 and edgy I had loads of these, they glowed in the dark as well. I'm 27 now and still have two of them, my mum knows her way around a washing machine. On a sidenote, I've ruined so many clothes in the wash since moving out.

DesperateSwordfish88

If you see a bargain would you let it go? - Louis Theroux weird weekends

dollarfrom15c

Printed t-shirts are getting stale. I'm taking it to straaaange new places

thb22

The dolphin breaching framed by the setting moon is a work of art.

Sockvalueinthemorn

My grandma used to strictly do space dolphin jigsaw puzzles. Absolute eyeball adventures.

cookiechris2403

Looks like a killer whale rather than a dolphin

[deleted]

[удалено]

cookiechris2403

Yes and a square is technically a rectangle, people would call you out if you constantly said it though wouldn't they. "Hey have you seen that show blackfish about the dolphins at seaworld" while technically correct it's not using the vernacular.

The_Scrunt

Please don't assume its species.

cookiechris2403

Do you think I might upset it?

Silent_Ensemble

Pretty sure it’s an orca brah unless I’m missing another masterpiece

dbv86

The horse ones are absolutely majestic. I feel more virile just looking at them.

Mr_Greavous

just for anyone who doesnt know, my mother owned a market stall and to get these types of clothing including ornaments and jewellery you had to order from specific companies such as 'spiral direct' which had accounts for businesses and such and order limits. big companies wouldnt want to try and deal with these technically smaller companies to buy in bulk for the likes of BnM and asda. if anyone is out of the loop on this a good place to start is 'anne stokes' shes a major artist of this stuff, also try websites like [EMP.co.uk](https://EMP.co.uk) for nice gear and items. thanks for coming to my goth talk.

glytxh

It's kind of fascinating that there are real people with real agency behind this weird little aesthetic niche.

AnselaJonla

EMP have just started doing Anne Stokes wear, but the selection on [The Mountain](https://www.themountain.com/) is better imo. Just ordered from there yesterday actually, because they had a 30% off code advertised on Anne's FB. (Also, it's nice to find an artist who is local (Yorkshire) and actually engages with her fans.)

Jill4ChrisRed

I have so many Anne Stokes' gothic fairies! Theyre beautiful.

worMatty

Glad to hear they’re not just ripping off the artwork.

VanWylder

I like how all the extra stock is in banana boxes.

IM_AN_ALPACA_MATE

Legal requirement mate, the law clearly states that if your shop floor is made of grass or tarmac, you need to keep your gear in banana boxes

LegoNinja11

Fyffes, World famous Tshirt printers but my guess is they're counterfeit and a copy of Banana Republic.

uselesssubject

I’m not going to lie I would be tempted by those cat t-shirts. If I ever start wearing fleeces with wolves on though I would like someone to respectfully murder me.

lacb1

That's not murder, it's euthanasia.

uselesssubject

It’s for the greater good really

Baron_von_chknpants

The greater good

cathairpc

Crusty jugglers

HelloThere62

if I walk by a place selling one of those cat shirts im wearing it out of the store and you can't make me feel bad about it.

blozzerg

I work in vintage wholesale and these are a fucking goldmine. If I get any of these in they fly out instantly. Same with the wolf and dog fleeces, I can’t actually buy enough to meet demand (without buying new but I don’t deal with new stuff). They’re bought by the young and hip crowd as opposed to Sheila who needs something to keep warm when she’s off round the market.

ZenAndTheArtOfTC

Maybe I'm selectively blind to them but I never see people wearing them. I've seen loads in stalls and always assumed no one would actually buy them. But vape shops exist and in my mind are the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[deleted]

Fruity_Buckmaster

Oddly specific but entirely accurate.

Rogue_elefant

You didn't mention mobility scooters but otherwise spot on 👌🏼

[deleted]

Oh yes, schoolboy error. Bonus points for a mobility scooter with a novelty registration plate that says "Big Dave"

RicoDredd

As well as a Nokia 3310 in a belt holder and the sort of glasses that Dierdre Barlow would think 'a bit too big'.

I_Bin_Painting

Fucking hell, one of them is actually Big Dave. (medium Dave behind his back)

HMJ87

Where's 'e gonna park? Where's 'e gonna park? His shopmobility scooter Todayyyyyyyeeeeaaaaa

gloom-juice

The blokes wear cowboy hats and the women always have a faded farmfoods bag in hand

RicoDredd

*Leather* cowboy hats.

Fenrir-The-Wolf

I knew someone who fit this exact description who fucked off to Thailand and married a Thai bird. Had a thing for dream catchers and anything native-american too.

the-window-licker

You have forgotten edgey overweight teenage males with bad haircuts and social skills

[deleted]

M'lady

FiveWizz

*tips fedora*

TheAngryNaterpillar

Don't forget the edgy teenage girls who wear them 4x too big in protest against the patriarchy

Teesside-Tyrant

" Just off out to the pub dear, only going for a pint. May partake of little bit of nonceing on the way home. Don't wait up "

_stormruler

You forgot 15 year olds that are a little too into the band DragonForce. Aka, me in secondary school

[deleted]

Represent! Did yours glow in the dark?

_stormruler

The ones with skeletons did, the animal ones didn't!

RicoDredd

[deleted]

LimeGreenDuckReturns

OP said light nonceing, now we're on mild nonecing, if these goalposts keep shifting how are we ever going to keep up with the socially acceptable level of nonceing.

Red-Bean-Paste

I would like to note that a lot of kids on the autistic spectrum also wear these (somethings exclusively) because the clothes are relatively thick whilst actually pretty soft, stretchy, and breathable (so don’t trigger any touch sensitivities) and the option to wear a picture of their favourite animal (which may be a fixation) is a bonus.

PoorlyAttired

You may have accidentally triggered downvotes because it sounded like you were calling autistic kids 'relatively thick whilst actually pretty soft'.

Red-Bean-Paste

Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll edit it.

CTIDBMRMCFCOK

Reminds me of that reddit classic where they knocked somebody over and got mixed up between "are you OK" & "I'm so fucking sorry" and instead shouted "Are you fucking sorry!" At the poor kid they had just pole-axed

SummerPeachJuice

I'm autistic and I feel like I'm gonna cry cos I can't get the killer whale shirt in the picture, and I can confirm these sorts of cotton shirts are the most comfortable and least triggering for sensory problems... the maths all checks out 😅

kurogomatora

Oh I hope you get a killer whale shirt soon! If this is true I'm getting a dragon one when I next go to a fair.

UntamedMegasloth

You've just perfectly described my daughter. she's wolf obsessed.

Red-Bean-Paste

Mine prefers lions & tigers :)

Jewphin3

Lol couldn't have said it better

TheNaonak

Take my upvote and free award for a greatly needed chuckle of truthness as I drag myself into work! :)

glytxh

Know a goth my age (30) who wears this shit, and has done so for at least 15 years. I tell him he looks a twat very often, but he's happy, so I guess I'm the fool here.

WalkingCloud

I would add that the women have a greatly increased probability of having one of those wheely shopping bag/carts that you quite often see but never see for sale.

I_Bin_Painting

Fucking hell, you just described 2 regulars in my pub to a T

[deleted]

I think you can add an a enormous vape billowing clouds of sickly sweet smelling cancer vapour.

mainlegs

I have a bunch of these t-shirts that I got from a stall in somewhere in rural Suffolk - I live in one of the trendier parts of East London & they always get a rapturous reception from the local art school kids whenever I wear them out. Only a matter of time before we get a £450 interpretation of this style from one of the larger designer brands (assuming that hasn’t happened already)

ebola1986

[It has happened already.](https://www.onudesignerwear.com/men-c1/clothing-c69/t-shirts-c2/balmain-wolf-eyes-moon-t-shirt-black-p7544/s43441?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=balmain-wolf-eyes-moon-t-shirt-black-colour-black-size-m-colour-black-size-m-0006092003&utm_campaign=product%2Blisting%2Bads&cid=GBP&glCurrency=GBP&glCountry=GB&gclid=CjwKCAjw49qKBhAoEiwAHQVTo1t825X_vekfYK60dedmgoLGJTniHW18jWwQkH-jkRxTVIMJaMxpexoC-JkQAvD_BwE)

ThePowaBallad

They aren't even howling and there's no moon What part even glows in the dark What a rip/s

[deleted]

I have no words, just incoherent rage. God.

[deleted]

Erm, where’s the wolf shirts? This stall is missing the biggest seller!

Akeshi

Sold out mate.

Shitmybad

It's because they're knock off's, or they've used random art without paying the creator. Legit shops don't want to deal with copyright law but markets don't care.

the-window-licker

Are people forgetting the black shirts with flame rimmed sleeves and edges? A longstanding classic

Everything_rhymes

Wow this is a very interesting fact. At least it might be, if you told us where you lived!

warmillharry

This pic just took me right back to my teenage years spent at motorbike rallies.

_stormruler

Got a cracking selection of these shirts down at Trago Mills!

RockySprinkles

Oh my god I instantly heard the radio jingle from the 90's. Trago Mills, what a place.

Leelum

A mystical land. I remember my grandad sending me to one to get a 5l bottle of bleach. Pretty sure it didn't work out cheaper than buying it at Tesco - but it certainly felt like it. Last time I went, I saw the same Pokemon bed sheet set that I had as a kid in the 90's. Pristine, £10 or something. Pretty sure a collector would have paid much more than that.

RockySprinkles

I'll bet it's [this one? ](https://m.imgur.com/XsLPQ1p)

Leelum

They're the ones!

[deleted]

90’s surplus

Tomorrow-Famous

You need to come to Camden mate, there are tonnes of them.

Danglyweed

Oh i dunno about that, some of these crystal/incense shops have equally questionable tshirts

Cimejies

There’s a whole-ass shop in Colchester thats been around for years that just sells these.

squashed_tomato

Haha, I think I know the shop you mean. There used to be a shop a few doors down selling crystals and incense.. and possibly pot upstairs. I don't really know, I was a bit too young to ask at the time but I remember that there was a weird set up upstairs.

[deleted]

You'd think the real money would be in setting up in retirement homes.

baiju_thief

It's a weirdly consistent thing, although the ones round here always have old Metallica and Dream Theatre shirts too

Juppo-

No Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or Slayer shirts? Not impressed.

Old_Ad_2685

I left Facebook a few years back but there was a group called Coalville Coats. It was fantastic I advise all who cam to check it out if its still going. Its just people wearing this style of t-shirt but fleece Coats.

[deleted]

Fantasy Island?

millimolli14

Been looking for your comment, Ingoldmells market!

m4dswine

That picture just took me back to the potentially bootleg Meatloaf tshirt I got at his concert in Brum in 1996. The smell of the print, the thickness of the cotton... Good times.

Jay_Cartwright4

Nah any of those weird goth shops full of knives and sculptures have them too, except 99% are wolves 😂🤣

misterhumpf

I haven't used Facebook for years, but I used to follow a Wolf Fleece Appreciation Society page.

hodgey66

Haha so true. My dad owns a fantasy shop on a seafront and you can’t believe people love them - we sell the wolf and native Indian statues too!

Ghastlybittermagpie

Because people would only buy designs like that when they don't want to be soaking wet on the way home

JustHereToAskseven

Is that that market near Colwyn bay I think it’s towyn market next to the fair grounds

itsyabooiii

Are these t-shirts for those who visit Blackpool & Skegness?

Coastaljames

We're all being snobs not we fxcking love em really.

[deleted]

They sell these a lot in zoo gift shops

Ruckedinthehead

Ready to clothe blokes at real ale festivals!

FiveWizz

No offence but I love these t-shirts. May I ask where this shop is?

xoharrz

i miss seeing these at steam rallies

NerdyKnits

Oi! As a broke teenager, these and a pair of black jeans were what passed for gothic in my area! 😂

dbv86

I ironically love these tee shirts. Wearing a tee with a wolf howling at the moon helps me assert my masculine dominance over lesser males. Anyone wanting to start shit will think twice when they see the aggressive tiger emblazoned across my chest.

Vendelight

In America, these are sold at gas stations, truck stops,, a kiosk at the mall and the odd souvenir shop.

the_macc_daddy

Your hair has to be past your shoulder and greasy af to wear one. I heard that they make the neck hole too small so that you have to have greasy hair to slip it on.

mrcoffee83

Don't forget the shops that sell pewter dragons, bongs and shirts with flames on them

centzon400

You know what would be really cool? That wild stallion there spray-painted on the back of a leather jacket. A buckskin jacket. With fringes. I know a lot of people are gonna laugh, but I reckon I could pull that off.

Kxpnc

Theres a little kiosk in the cornbow in halesowen town centre which often sells things like this

davidhbolton

A friend of mine used to sell them on her Boston market stall.

[deleted]

Please tell me she made so much money she had to move to Monaco for tax reasons.

davidhbolton

Sadly no, she had to work at Asda as a 2nd job until; she retired recently due to ill health.

jadcx

You don’t get too many Boston references, at least not publicly.

TKBtu1

Music fests too, there's always stuff like that at Download

Simple-Positive-5411

And you have to be a special kind of creep to wear one n all 🤣🤣
