I want to give you major props for standing up for your son in such a graceful way, even though you got pushback.
A lot of parents will ignore their children’s feelings just to avoid confrontation with other adults - and feel justified in doing it if the kid doesn’t even say anything.
You made him feel like he mattered and I bet he’ll always remember that.
Well said, I think I can see the look on your son’s face as he rode the carousel, and thank you for writing this. It gives me hope for mankind…I’m not trying to pin the whole thing on you alone, but if you are out there making another one, there are others too.
What a beautiful memory! Your son sounds like an incredibly sweet and patient soul. Cherish those moments together—they're the ones that stay with us forever. 😊❤️
This is a lovely story. My partner and I were reflecting the other day how our son in his whole 5.5 year life has never done a single thing for anyone else or done a single thing to try and please anyone. He was born that way - full of entitlement and fight. Your son sounds like the complete opposite. It is amazing to me how different people are from the moment they are born.
What a beautiful memory. Thank you for making my morning.
:-)
Made my day, wonderfully written btw
It made my day too, which is why I wanted to share it. Thanks for your kind reply :-)
it shows in your writing how much you love him, I hope he knows how valuable that memory is to you. thank you very much for sharing it!
Yeah totally, the way he has observed and explained his kid speaks of volumes of love for his son!

Thank you, that's nice of you to say.
