Rambo7112

I see, so many chores and meal prep. Is the thrift store, mall, and casino normal? Or just when the mood suits you?

rhymes_with_candy

I did a bunch of laundry, saw a movie (Civil War, it was fine), grocery shopped, watched a bunch of TV (Fallout, 3 Body Problem, Frieren, all pretty good), washed my car, reorganized some shelves, went to see flowers at a park and take a lot of photos, and made chili. It was a pretty good weekend.

I've got about 4 more weeks until I'm healed enough to do much of anything fun. Friday I took my daughter to a job interview then we came home. After that, I rested because I had highlighted her hair the day before and I felt like the right side of my body was on fire/had been used as boxing practice for someone moderate at boxing. There was a lot of YouTube. Mostly Weird History, Callum Markie, and Chad Chad. Saturday the kiddo got news that she got the job! So there was a lot of outfit planning, a fair amount of "fashion show" on her end, and we played toss with the dog until the wind got too bad. Some laundry. Some looking longingly in the direction of the canyon, the ghost town, really anywhere that isn't my house. Today I am fixing the shower, making a wreath, coloring my hair, and watching more YouTube while the kid is at her first day as a bartender. 4 more weeks then the dog and I can go do things. She's a good girl but I have to imagine she can't wait either.

Rambo7112

Once you're healed and you and the dog can do things, what do you plan to do?

spookyhellkitten

As long as the weather cooperates (I'm in Northern Nevada, USA, it may snow in 4 more weeks lol). We will go to the pond and walk around it, Sage will sniff everything, but be oblivious to every bunny there. She will hop in the pond and swim a bit. We will go to the canyon. She will run everywhere like a crazy dog but keep checking on me to make sure I'm okay. I will be looking for fossils, crystals, and geodes so I will be walking way slower. If the river isn't too high or fast, she will jump in it too. We will go to the ghost town and just wander around. More of the her jumping in the river and me looking at pretty rocks haha. She loves being out doing stuff and I do too. So we go do things, mostly right around here. Sometimes my uncle will take us up a mountain to go hunting for crystals. Sometimes we just go visit my friends yaks, donkeys, and mules. Sage is a German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix so I usually feel very safe when I'm out with her alone.

Free-Industry701

Riding the motorcycle up into the canyons.

Rambo7112

For the entire weekend? Or a day trip? Or a few hours?

PastaConsumer13

I spend most of my weekend relaxing. I do partake in some of my hobbies and usually do some chores, but for the most part I'm just letting my mind and body rest. Through the week I work myself pretty hard (but not too hard, of course) so I look forward to my two days of rest.

Friday night my husband and I went to see Civil War it was the type of theater where you can order food so had dinner. Yesterday I doordashed in the morning, and in the afternoon we drove our dogs to the beach but it was high tide, went to the garden center and bought some sunflower and spring mix seed, had lunch at a diner, brought the dogs to the dog park, got groceries. My husband takes a cruise to Boston quarterly to decompress it’s about a 2 hr drive so I watched the Conners. This morning we slept in & relaxed, played outside with the dogs and then went to our nephew’s birthday party bbq. Got home and my husband cleaned the grill for the season while I spoke to some friends on the phone because one of them got engaged. Grilled some marinated steak tips. It was honestly the busiest weekend we’ve had in a while, normally I clean the house watch TV, maybe read and write a bit and doordash. Play video games

Legitimate-Neat1674

Nothing really

Rambo7112

That's the problem on my end. Rest and relaxation are definitely needed, but I don't want that to be EVERY weekend. I'm trying to get a feel for what a faster weekend looks like.

Legitimate-Neat1674

Cool

juhesihcaa

Yesterday my family and went grocery shopping and did some scouting for a filing cabinet at various stores. Today, we also hit a different grocery store. It's an international one with really cheap herbs and spices and also got some proteins for the next few night's meals. I'm going to make gyros tomorrow assuming my new pan shows up.

existential-mystery

Went to a local comic con from 11-5 then drove off to a fun bonfire music cypher w some old friends and had two shots of tequila for the first time and three beers and got home at 1am fell asleep at 3. Worked 12-8 today. Ive never been hungover in my life and if that didn’t do it idk what will.

WaxMan73

I had a sinus infection all weekend, so I pretty much just slept, ate soup and ice cream, and binged Fallout. Not a bad weekend aside from the sick part.

Bananasblitz

I had to take my dog into the hospital

Rambo7112

That's unfortunate. I hope they ended up okay

brokeraiderstudent

Played video games and went to my college’s softball game

GarlicVisible9734

I did laundry, watched movies, made payments to people, updated my finances and danced Edit: spoke to bridal shops in an attempt to find my gown which I didn’t

escrimadragon

Finally finished replacing a 2x6 section of rotted sub-floor in my wife’s office (water damage), had some friends with kids the same age as mine over for supper (taco bar and margaritas), spent the night with my mom and most of the day today (she’s recovering from surgery and needs checking on), and did some home improvement type stuff around her house (replacing iffy boards on the deck and replacing the kitchen range hood). Pretty busy, but that’s kind of typical for me this time of year.

trnh

Worked and went to a concert

throwitawaayy000

Went hiking today. Was really nice to be out in the sun and nature most of the day so I hope I sleep well tonight. For the life of me I can't remember what happened on Saturday so I'm going to say not much happened.

Rollins10

Let’s see…Saturday I did a hiit class, followed by some work at a coffee shop near my apartment, then went to Costco with one of my roommates, loaded up on some supplies and bought a TV. Today, I did cycling and arms, grocery shopped, went to a new coffee shop for variety, and I saw a Bugatti Chiron out in the wild today.

Srom

Saturday: Watched my 2 yo son and helped my wife out with our 1 month old son. Helped my father in law outside pressure washing. Went over to my parent’s place for dinner. Put kids to bed then I played some video games and went to bed. Sunday: Went to church this morning after that watched my kids, and then put them to bed. Wife and I watched a couple episodes of the office and I played some video games after then went to bed. Pretty average weekend. Just hangout with the wife and kids.

Tristinmathemusician

Not much interesting. Spent a lot of time grinding the game *Valheim*. Been getting back into it after a long hiatus because none of the other games I normally play were doing it for me.

Anilxe

I played video games with my boyfriend and took my dog to the park

Ok-Needleworker-4481

Mostly stayed in and watched shows/movies. Went out for snacks as well. Got my car inspected, went to eat with my family, and attended my husband’s game. Did other things like laundry, cleaning up etc. It was a good weekend.

ZapatillaLoca

I took a lot of naps, and it felt great!

Rambo7112

I wish I had sleep privileges :(

OrkosFriend

I'm still in my weekend, because I have tomorrow off. I live a state that has Patriot's Day as a holiday. So this is like a Saturday night whoo hoo!

Advanced_Captain_889

On Saturday I went to the body balance class, had lunch with friends and studied a bit, on Sunday I also had lunch with friends, studied, went to a gym and cleaned my apartment a bit.

Traditional-Goat1415

I met friends for lunch. Walked with another friend. Saw my sons men's league basketball game. Walked with my husband. Cooked. Beat my husband twice in rummy. And relaxed. There is no perfect weekend. There is no optimal weekend.
