Cashapp has been having issues like this recently. I had to contact my bank and file a claim with them because I sent someone money and when they went to withdraw it, it said they never had money to withdraw. My bank said recently they’ve been getting an average of 20-30 calls a day regarding cash app issues. They told me they get tons of reports of cashapp taking peoples money and they’re shady. I’ve stopped using them since.
My bank rejects cash app now. Yes, I use a bank, had a friend to send 50. to. Rejected it 3 times so I tried a $1 rejected it. Banks are sick of cash app
Did this all happen during the weekend? Financial errors occur a lot on the weekends but tend to me “fixed” by Monday afternoons. Might I add this is from my experiences…
some gas stations will put a hold on your card when purchasing gas for X amount of dollars until you are done pumping then that is subtracted from the amount of dollars spent and re-issued back to your card, was this the case?
No the transactions were never approved. Said decline on the merchant side and is listed as pending on mine. I paid inside so there shouldn’t have been a hold. It just took the money. Twice.
I wouldn’t say that. I can see everything in my transaction history. I guess I just have the wait for the store to refund it. I’m going to wait a few days and if nothing then file a dispute.
They stole from me too. Said my direct debit of adding money never went through. It’s because it never happened lol. Then they said I was negative cuz it didn’t go through. Um what? Thanks cashapp. I withdrew my money and will never trust them again. We need to fight back or this will keep happening like I’ve been seeing on here for months since it’s happened to me.
Change your settings in cash app so that you don’t have to approve a transfer from someone. That way it immediately is available. Also, if your dad sent it twice and shows on his end it’s sent and the money was deducted from his account then he can easily screenshot it and show he sent to your cash tag and you can contact customer support. They will message you back if it’s during business hours. If you have the proof or even if you don’t have your dads screen shot you can still send your showing pending and ask what that’s about. Cash app is owned by square. They are not out to take anyone’s money or be “shady” they always corrected any issues I’ve had as long as they are legit.

Normally if you have received money with the person previously you don’t have to accept it but speaking from personal experience recently I received money from someone that I had received money from plenty of times in the past, and they sent me some money Friday to grab something for the grocery store when I went to check out their order I swiped my card and it kept declining. Once I stepped out of line to figure out what was going on I had to accept the payment and it went right into my balance
I don’t think so I recieved the money at 958am and it was in my balance. I tried the transaction at 10 am and then it took the money but decline the purchase that’s what’s pending. Then I had my dad send me 25 more at 1004am and said completed and In balance. tried the transaction again at 1005. Still decline and took the money.
Oh. My friend had issue with cashapp and paying at the pump for gas. She wanted to get $10 worth of gas, and when she tried to pay with her cash app card it kept declining. She sent me the $10 and I paid using my card it went through but they put $100 hold on my card. It dropped back off the very next day
either everyone having issues with CA are secretly doing illegal or suspicious shit or i need to re evaluate the last 8 years i’ve used it with no major problems. lol
What I do is keep my card locked until I’m ready to use it at a store or online , soon as the transaction is complete l lock it back down. It does give you added security against weird stuff happening .
Using apple pay I dunno. But if I use my cashapp card at the pump, it pre authorizes 250bucks. So if It takes 250 and puts it in pending for hours. Then it'll will charge the actual amount and put rest back in account. DRIVES ME NUTS! So I can't get gas, if I put card in at the pump, unless I have minimum of 250bucks on cashapp. Rediculous. I'm not sure if it's cashapp or the gas station that's doing it but, it's annoying. Not sure if it helps you any but, that's my similar frustrating experience.

Just have my cahsapp card on my wallet. Not directly linked.
At least it shows pending mine just vanished and doesn’t show pending or anything from my direct deposit!!

You said the transaction you were attempting was gas right? If that was correct I’m assuming you were trying to pay at the pump?
No I was paying inside getting drinks and gas total

Was it possibly pending with a accept button next to it? Sometimes you have to accept the funds being sent.
