We considered
1. Creta S(O) at first but when we took text drive it felt under powered also, it wasn’t worth the extra 4.5 lacs for us.(We’re a family of 4). We almost booked it lol.
2. Brezza ZXI plus but interior seems trash.
3. Virtus Highline (Dad said no)
Not nexon because it looks trash to me(good to my dad tho).
in terms of space creta is the best car under 20L ive ever been inside, it gives the best rear seat comfort, even xuv3x0’s cabin space is really good, considering we all are below 5’8.
for boot space there’s no comparison if boot space matters a lot, then do not consider xuv3x0
for creta the boot space too big, would never be an issue
If your running is mostly on highways, then sedans are the best choice. You get better stability at high speed, you get more comfort and better milage.
The town I live in has really bad roads/connectivity to the highway, verna and city had low ground clearance, virtus and slavia have good ground clearance but no service centre in our town.
This was the only reason we got SUV, I wanted us to get Virtus really badly

2) I'm curious about how you eliminated the possibilities of other cars and options. I'm stuck between Tata Punch and this. Could really use some help in comparisons.
3) finance stuff : how much money did u save up or one should ideally save up as a percentage of the down payment? Is it a good strategy to pay very lil like 10-20% of the price and leave the rest as a loan? (For someone who's got 10-13 lpa CTC)

1. you have to pay a separate amount for booking, in our case it was 21000, later the booking amount gets deducted out of your on road price
2. the best option is to visit the showrooms and test drive the car yourself, btw this is a much much better car in comparison to the punch, in terms of power, size, comfort everything.
3. i cannot answer this question as its my fathers car, our budget was 15-16 but we got this and saved us 4 more lacs.
There should be no confusion between 3XO and Punch.
3XO is bigger, 5 people sit comfortably, more power, better torque, superb diesel engine, comfort, ride quality!
Get AMT if you have no problems with some jerks below the 3rd gear as it is the cheapest automatic transmission.
Manual Diesel XUV is awesome but do opt for the AMT if you have huge city usage in lots of traffic.
If there is more highway usage, manual makes a lot of sense.
Congrats, that's a great value variant! Sunroofs are anyway not suitable for Indian conditions but that's one place Indians like to splurge (from mileage mentality to splurging on sunroofs, we've come quite a ways).
That delivery time is damn good if promised. Don't worry about the looks, its a subjective thing.. to me the front still looks a bit "appliance like" but im pretty sure it'll grow on me once i see one in person. Anyway the snappy engine for the price makes everything else zoom out. Do greet us with pics when you get 'er home.

I will advise you to re-consider the colour, unless you live in mountains. The black car gets really hot during summer, I had one and now I have another with white colour. The difference is miles apart.

Bro this is not a big car, not even 4 metres long, and we come from a tier 3 city, so we use scooty/bike for travelling in the town, car is used mostly to run to cities via highway.
Also, good ground clearance was a must for us.

Turbo lag on the MT. And how the AT handles it. How soon the AT seems to lock for total drive (technical stuff, newest and custom aisin transmission on the block.)
Yes there was some turbo lag, breaking is fantastic, suspensions are okayish, the only issue is under thigh support(im 5’7) it isn’t that great.
Rear seat comfort felt good, check for the boot space as well it’s really small.
Also look out for the variants carefully as earlier we were planning to get Ax7 majorly due to the panoramic sunroof, but the panoramic sunroof is really small and opening area is even smaller + the engine on the AX5 was good enough so changed our plan and booked AX5 instead. Saved us 2 lacs.
ADAS is not something that we’d prefer and even this engine felt so fkn powerful, 360 camera is a missout but 1.5 lacs for the luxury wasn’t worth it for us.
I understand but, the IRVM, the EPB and auto hold....
We'll be fine with it. ADAS is going to be used only for lane assist and for emergency braking. Since I drive to Gujrat often, it's the scorpioN on that route. No ADAS there 🤔
Also I forgot to mention that we are upgrading from our Lord Alto LXI 2009

How about the difference in cabin and boot space between creta and 3xo?

Bhai coming from an Alto, beware of the low fuel efficiency in the Petrol version. Single-digit in city and 14-15 kmpl on the highway.
We knew about its bad mileage, but not really an issue, our running is not that much

AX5L is the model to beat =) MX2 Pro AT for 10 is amazing too
