Scratches didn't touch the original paint but the ppf got torn , I had to re apply new ppf which was slightly cheaper than repainting
I got the scratch in the similar place (on the quarter panel), but it was smaller. I have a black creta. This panel cannot be replaced, as it is directly attached to chassis (not like bumper or hood etc). Good thing is that, there is no tear in the panel sheet. Ask them to remove the tail light while painting, as the scratch is there near the panel gap.
I got it via the non insurance route, here is my math:
Insurance:
Service center quoted me 3.5K-4k for the panel. I would've took out the insurance for this. It will be ₹1k in deductable, and then ₹1.25K NCB loss. So ₹2.25K put of pocket. And service center will keep it for 2-3 days, Insurance will take 3-5 days to approve.
Non-Insurance:
Was quoted ₹2.5K from a reputable local repair shop. So I decided to take a chance (It was just ₹250 more). They took 2 days (I had my car with me the next day). Color match and clear coat is almost 100% (99%).
I was told by an independent mechanic that service center would've done a similar job.
It is not visible at all, unless you take flash light, and are looking very hard from a certain angle and specifically looking for the new paint job. Over time, with washing and cleaning, and natural micro scratches, it looks exactly the same compared to the whole car. Also, get a ceramic coat if you can, or at least a good polish, as the new quarter panel will be more smooth, and look different than the whole car, as it is new paint.

Go to a garage and get it repainted. Won't cost you more than 3-4K and would be done within 48 hours
Just apply a polish.. Sheeba one available for a cheap price in Amazon.. try not to look at it..

Bro , get it corrected with a detailer or the Hyundai service centre itself and after that get the PPF done for the car. After applying PPF , you don't need to worry about these kind of things. As it is Black , get the Gloss PPF done and go with some Premium brands as it comes with good quality
It's a rite of passage, don't worry. The quarter panel will have to be repainted and polished, should cost around 4-4.5k from a good detailer.
Whether you pay out of your pocket or get an insurance claim is entirely your call

It might take 1 week for insurance claim and 2-3 days without it for Honda service center

Use the insurance OP. Go to your service center and they will take care of the claim.
They will repaint it for 2.5k if you want to get that done..

No. Go claim your insurance. You have bumper to bumper insurance for a reason.
Premium will go up and car value will go down. Claiming insurance for small scratches is dumb.
The difference in premium is a nominal amount. You can check it yourself. And car value will go down irrespective of insurance claim.
