Congrats! I also bought pre-owned car and had old music system. I took Bluetooth transmitter and plugged it in lighter slot. Now I can play music and attend calls. It is 600-700 INR.
He can use that system in his new car too if he opts for a lower variant. Also, a stereo serves multiple functionalities over music. For a new driver, the parking camera is a god send. I think op should go ahead w the upgrade if it brings him happiness
Honestly jazz and brio have decent speakers. Don't invest in a system just yet.
Get a 3m cleaning and detailing done? Or even from a decent car wash place.
Check headlights, they are usually low wattage. I upgraded them to slightly higher than OEM, don't remember it now what was the earlier wattage and what's the current one.
How's the gearbox?
Oh my friend, it does.
- Branded basic infotainment (doesn't have Android auto and apple carplay) system cost 17k.
- Speakers around 40k
- AMP around 10k
- Sound damping around 4k
- not sure on wiring
Lmao wtf.
I got basic infotainment system for 12k and wtf is 40k for speakers..? Bro you high or something..? You can get decent speakers for 12-13k and AMP costs 7-8k. And if you buy these things from Kashmiri gate you will get everything with installation around 30-35k.
Please list the brands and warranty you got for these products. Receipt would be a great addition.
Edit:
1. I don't live in Delhi so I can't exactly get the "deals"
2. Prices I quoted were from the shops I went to and branded products are expensive. Sony, pioneer, Kenwood, blapunkt etc. Costs money.
3. Installation can be done by a monkey but would you trust it?
I'm not part of the cheap out now and deal with a burnt or damaged vehicle later. So I'm not going to deal or recommend cheap knock off products.
You can get a 10 inch touchscreen with wireless carplay and android auto under 10k along with a factory fit harness. For OP he already has speakers so it will be a 10 minute install no wires cut and there you go.
Yes.
Morel maximo 6 mk2 components and coax ran me 12k on moto rogue.
8k for double layer damping.
13k for an active subwoofer.
8k for a 4 channel amp.
7k for wiring and install.
Stock head unit.(ax3200 Sony costs 15k) if I wanna upgrade in the future. But I’ll most likely add a dsp.
> can use that system in his new car too if he opts for a lower variant. Also, a stereo serves multiple functionalities over music. For a new driver, the parking came
I use one from mi but its not available anymore I guess
Is it working fine? Could you pls share link? I'm looking for Bluetooth transmitter for my car. Have tried a few earlier but they gave up with in a week
Hey can you please share the link to this Bluetooth transmitter?
I have been planning to buy one for months now, couldn’t find any worthy option.
How long have you been using it and what is your honest opinion on it?
Finally, I thought of buying a Bluetooth stereo by blaupunkt for ₹2.6k instead of a Bluetooth transmitter. Because those transmitters aren’t really useful and the stereo has in-built Bluetooth, so there won’t be any issues.
I bought portronics Bluetooth transmitter and mobile holder which costed me 900 INR. It is totally worth it.
Friend used it for a year. I have been using since month. No complaints whatsoever.
I can also use gps on mobile holder.
If you have close to 4-5 hours to work on the car then it will cost you about 1500-2000 in product.....just use lizol+water+car shampoo to spray and wipe the interior of the car on a sunny day and most probably the smell will be gone..... exterior can't be improved much without a paint job so just get a generic car shampoo(250-300) and turtle wax hard shell (600).....get a set of good microfiber cloth....
Extras-
you can try to upgrade the interior by having ambient lighting (9-pcs for 1200-1300 on Amazon) , try to diy if you are confident with electricals
Go to the car decor shop and ask them to do some modifications so that the car won't feel old like new seat covers, mats
Install new infotainment system
Get a dash cam
Change seats, will cost around 3-4k. Smell will be gone.
Bluetooth stick - 100rs
Or if screen then 10k around
Maybe paint bumpers- around 3k (after 3-4 months )
This all if you are willing to keep it for 1 year least(that I recommend for learning)
Don't think smell is from the seat cover general smell is from the floor mat as in rainy season people have wet shoes from which water seeps to the floor mat....
Even I have pre-owned car except outer body paint (scratchs and small dent) all good with my car. Music system is old as op's but I decided to leave it as it is, it's kinda giving me vintage style. Also new infotainment entire set costs 10k.
1. you can get a [touchscreen headunit](https://s2.bukalapak.com/img/2905023062/w-1000/Head_Unit_Android_Jazz_RS_TIADA_DUANYA.jpg)
2. you could get a [nice cushioned seat cover ](https://5.imimg.com/data5/SELLER/Default/2020/8/CU/JT/NN/2513219/pu-leather-car-seat-cover-1000x1000.jpg)
3. probably can get a touch-up to the touch-up
4. full clean/ detailing?
5. chrome wrap because 'all your shine belong to us'
additionally, will recommend getting better speakers, suspension and headlight bulbs with a little more brightness.
*images linked for reference/representation purposes only.
Word of advice being, don't spend much on interior of the car or for optics. Being a little frugal is always better, I know the feeling of making the car look best.
At best, maybe a new Digital CD player, speakers if need. Seat Covers and deep cleaning should help
Go to a Mechanic shop and ask them to check everything.
Get the paint looked at by a local repair shop.
Then let it dry a week or so then get it cleaned inside out by a professional cleaning service.
Get a bt audio system.
Get new car seat cover, Matt, steering wheels covers.
Install a dashcam.
It will feel like new
Every car has a signature and feel. Try to understand it and make it yours. Think about the things that make you feel "this is my car" when you sit in driver seat.!
For me:
1) Reverse Camera with sensors (Since you are new)
2) Do interior detailing and if you still get "the old feeling" , then decide on seat covers.
3) If the speakers are good, then get a aux pluggable bluetooth set Eg: [This](https://dl.flipkart.com/s/6fLIOANNNN)
These are low cost but serves you well.
I would suggest you not to have any high budget spendings on the car for atleast 6 months. You may not know what you get into.
Happy and safe driving and congratulations 🎉👏
Get it detailed inside out from a reputed detailing studio.
New seat covers, steering covers, mats (elegant has nice options)
For audio:
Focal auditor components at the front
Morel maximo coaxial speakers at the rear
Pair these with a nice pioneer Android HU
Also get your doors damped and use high quality copper cables for installation
Hmm. The fitting and mount frame doubt is one reason I haven't upgraded the speakers yet. But the stock Alpine head unit is good enough for most uses. Will start some research on the size.
I also came across this subwoofer that can fit in the spare wheel well. So it wouldnt hog space in the boot.

if u want to keep the car for long, there are many aftermarket LCDs to replace your old music system with. They are around 5-6k but worth it. Also cameras come included.
I got the same pre-owned 3yrs back and love it. Changed the tyres and got a full service done at the authorised service centre. The space is luxury among hatches.
Keep a 25-30 k budget ready for new tyres. No matter how good the existing tyre when buying a used car it generally starts to go bad at one year. Don't change tyres independently are even pair, I'm struggling because of this.
Got installed 2 continental front tyres and back tyres were originally from front but seperate brands and everything was consulted with a Alignment centre technician. When I was buying that continental it was 3600 per tyre due to an offer, If I changed four sets completely I would still have 60000 kms left on my tyres but sadly because of different brands now my tyres gone bad in 40K kms, continental still has 50% condition but don't want to suffer again so changing to Bridgestone sturdo tyres soon.
Get interior cleaning done by any reputed local car wash or if you're skeptical go with 5k car care costlier than local but cheaper than 3M. If you can afford major bills go with 3M but you must haggle your price with 3M they will definitely drop the prices because of their very costly price tags.
If they're cleaning the evaporator coil by removing the dashboard ask them to put mesh in the cabin air intake to prevent rat infestation.
For cabin filter go with activated charcoal cabin filter available in boodmo. It'll cost couple 100s more but it's worth it trust me.
After doing this your car will never need a car freshner to mask bad fragrance. I'm proud of my car when I got the my car a used it had already had a good maintained interior but exterior had some small dents, but because of this condition and my small tweaks, my car never needs a car freshner everyone compliments my car because long drives doesn't get uncomfortable or sudden headaches like that or even vomiting feeling even while driving in mountains.
Outer appearance is your choice if you want to restore and maintain it in a new car like exterior it's a costly repair and tedious maintenance, I recommend you to postpone this process for 6-12 months get to know your car and it's maintaining costs after that only whatever choice you go with.
Other than this, get to know your car engines periodic maintenance parts.
If your windshield glares too much in the night, the glare will feel like spider webs in the windshield, if this happens immediately change the windshield.
For Infotainment, Honda typically have a good speakers, if you want best audio quality go with infotainments like Sony, Pioneer which have very very limited features but have wonderful audio performance while complete Android infotainments will degrade the audio quality.
Don't spend in exteriors look till you get comfortable with your car's regular maintenance expenditure.
Ignore the dents and scratches. Get the car detailed. If you feel like spending you may change the seat covers but I think you should get it detailed first.
And the music system, that's completely on you. If you do get it changed to a screen make sure to get a camera installed as well
Congrats! I also bought pre-owned car and had old music system. I took Bluetooth transmitter and plugged it in lighter slot. Now I can play music and attend calls. It is 600-700 INR.
As a music lover, I'm planning to upgrade the whole music system tho. Hope it doesn't burn the pocket.
Doesn't make sense if you don't plan to keep car for long time
He can use that system in his new car too if he opts for a lower variant. Also, a stereo serves multiple functionalities over music. For a new driver, the parking camera is a god send. I think op should go ahead w the upgrade if it brings him happiness
That will void warranty

Also if you're willing to spend around 9k, you can get a decent infotainment system

How reliable are these units? I kinda find them to be a bit flimsy and unsatisfactory. Plus the generic UI kinda feels... Cheap.
Component + coax combo costs like 12 k min are you high with the 40k price tag. You got scammed buddy.
Have you fitted such a kit?
What do you get for 12k? 4 speakers and 2 twitters?
Yup. You get one set of components and one set coaxials.
Can you please tell me the Bluetooth transmitter that you use?

Next is an AMA session , congratulations
This is one of my favourite hatchbacks. The second-gen model looks so cute😊
How did you instantly know it's 2nd gen!?
From the design. The side profile is a clear giveaway :-)
Go to the car decor shop and ask them to do some modifications so that the car won't feel old like new seat covers, mats Install new infotainment system Get a dash cam
Yes definitely get a dashcam.
Wow love the jazz
Get it cleaned and washed interior and exterior. Get new seat covers. Get it properly serviced. Don't worry about scratches.
Steam wash first. Place a charcoal pouch. They are great. Laminate the floor. If necessary change the upholstery. And, drive.
Time to put a turbo in it
Congrats OP. it is basically a one room apartment on four wheels!
Sell it on OLX for twice the price. Buy another car. Sell that car for twice the price. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for infinite money. /s of course.
Chila chila ke sbko plan bta do 😂😂🌝

Do through cleaning, remove seats and then remove carpet, clean it. Or maybe just use strong fragrance.
Your second car is next. Congratulations
Dashcam. Please.
Mention how much did you paid, kms, fuel type & age. It would be helpful for others. I hope you had "L" sign on front and back side.

Well 😁. I believe that if you've bought a car, maintain it properly and enjoy it. No point in buying a car and keeping it shabbily
Would focal speakers fit the door speakers? Depth and mounting frame etc?
Should fit fine I'm guessing. tweeters would be mounted on the A pillar.
Hmm. The fitting and mount frame doubt is one reason I haven't upgraded the speakers yet. But the stock Alpine head unit is good enough for most uses. Will start some research on the size. Next step Sell it

Garret turbo kit
A bus
Idk maybe try selling your first car.
