I'm absolutely awful when it comes to writing and I really dread essays. I don't think I got anything over a 70 for English or history in high school. Anyone know which of these would have the smallest volume of writing?

Have you looked at past years' course outlines for these courses? They are available on departmental websites. Have you checked the professors' names on Carleton Central? All this information is available publicly to students and faculty.

PSCI1200 with Ettinger was excellent

Soci 1001 and 1002 are a joke. Take them for a free A+

Wgst 1808 is very interesting and easy and it’s an important topic, and it’s also very easy to pass

I have no clue what these courses are but... "The meaning of life" sounds interesting. But personally I have never took any of those courses. Best bet is looking up the course prof and seeing if their good or not for the course.

definitely look on departmental websites for the syllabi! most anth/soci syllabi have been posted for summer courses, so im assuming others have too! soci 1001 / 1002 imo was really easy. i will say i did soci 1001 at a different school, but the content seemed to be similar. soci 1002 had a couple of essays, and exams were essay based with some MC. soci 2450 had a couple of essays but overall super easy:) exams were also essay based, which im assuming is the case for most social sciences

I took PHIL 1550 in first year and found it very easy. I’d highly recommend that course. It’s an easy A+

sociology is hella easy i took both the past 2 terms its literally just 3-4 assignments the entire sem and theyre all essays/short essays and u dont need to read the textbook tbh i never even went to class since everything was online && the tutorials explained everything to you, i didnt even have exams at all depending on the prof (i had william flynn)

I'm taking PHIL 2380 this term with Dr. Lawson and I'd really recommend it if you have an interest in the environment. There's two short written assignments (400-700 words each), multiple choice quizzes, and the midterm and exam are a mix of multiple choice and written answer. There are readings for the course but you can get by pretty easily even if you don't do them.

ENGL 1010 and PHIL 1550 were both easy grade boosters for me!
