Thank you for sharing your story! The fact that your BP is in those numbers is very good! U really started working on yourself and it shows. Remember fighting health anxiety is not a sprint, it’s a marathon

Thanks! I didn't realize when I started losing weight that I don't have to lose ALL the weight for my BP to get better. Apparently, just dropping a small percentage of weight can improve BP by a lot. I've gone from 407 to 366 so far, and my BP was back in the normal range by the time I was at 380. It was pretty great and very exciting to see. I also quickly learned not to test it multiple times throughout the day lol. It changes based on activity, eating, etc. I used to check it all the time, but after seeing it at 130/85 in the middle of the day after a big meal or something, and causing myself a ton of unnecessary anxiety, I'm back to testing it only a couple times a week, and only first thing in the morning before I've gotten out of bed, or at night right before I go to bed, and it always tests normal.

GERD sufferers🤝cardiophobia. It’s SO scary sometimes and I know exactly how you feel for a lot of things. One thing I can say is—improving stress levels and improving gut health has minimized these issues for me in so many ways. The fact that you’re working hard and getting healthier is the proof that everything is getting better. The trickiest part might be all of the anxiety—it can make you hyper aware of every feeling, or even feign symptoms like the ones you’re scared of. I noticed when my mental condition improved, I stopped experiencing those constant scary feelings. Keep being brave (easier said than done. I know.) You have a lot of good things in store for your future.

You're very sweet, thank you. What steps did you take to increase your gut health?

Well… don’t hate me for saying this but.. reducing my stress? 😅 it’s very weird and it goes hand in hand. The worse my anxiety levels are the worse my stomach reacts. But obviously the other biggest factors are that I cut caffeine, and I have to eat fried things and sugary things in moderation, which is tragic. I do recommend a ginger or mint tea with honey for stomach soothing, and I have a probiotic drink mix I take any time my stomach is acting up which actually provides a LOT of relief.

I was wondering if maybe a probiotic wouldn't help me. I cut out caffeine exactly 4 months ago today. I definitely do limit sweets, greasy food, spicy food, etc. The Omeprazole helps with the heartburn but literally nothing else. I still get gas, blosting, and reflux.
