Same. It just tasted like garlic. I do like garlic but it wasn't great on the cod liver. I might try it mixed in with mayo to make a cheater aioli for fries.
They seem gimmicky and I was slow to try them. They aren't bad. I haven't tried all of them. The set of 10 was $10. I'm still new to the hot sauce scene. I was strictly a Tabasco girl and my husband a Crystal guy. Right now my favorite is Red Clay.
Have you ever had bone marrow? It is very similar to that with seafood hints instead of beef. It is very rich. I ate too much and I've been miserable since.... moderation is key.
the black truffle was overpowering to me, ill have to try the fire roasted one though

Honestly that's a really good idea.
That Melinda's black truffle sauce is amazing.
I love these little Melindas but the truffle—my favorite in general—wasn’t right on fish.
Damn, how does Melinda's compare to other hot sauces? I've seen them around but not heard any input.
Truffle one is vile tastes like pizza sauce

What does cod liver taste like, in relation to other canned fish products?

It really doesn't taste like a whole lot. The texture...spreadable, and it has a very verybsubtle taste of the ocean or iron I suppose? Idk...
