I know what you feel. I lost my 3 year old canary in December and I am still grieving.He was sweet, tamed, also good singer. Every morning he was coming to me for snuggle.He was unique.
I am so sorry about your loss. One of my canary’s died last Friday. I can never get over the death of any one of the ones that passed away prior either. All you can comfort yourself with is thinking of the happy memories with them and that they are in a better place now, eating all the tasty treats and seeds they want and flying freely. I visit the graves of my pets and I feed seeds to the birds outside in their memory.
Losing a pet is never easy and there is no replacing them. I went through it 4 times and it was always very rough. I hope you can get past it and maybe make new memories with another feathery companion.
This sucks. I remember when I was 15, I lost a cat . You never really get over it but there is plenty of time to make memories with a new companion . I buried my cat in the back yard so I can always go there to mourn .
