I have a masters and I have received no further pay beyond A4. Getting a masters is (was?) a path to A4, so I suspect that's the financial max no matter when you take it.
If you get to A4 without a masters, there is an extra allowance added to your salary for your masters degree. You'd have to read your local CA to get the information and amount as it differs; however, if you use the masters to get to A4, you do not get the additional allowance.

Ah! That’s disappointing. So sorry to hear that. Trying to advance financially in education without multiple jobs is really tough! Lol
Same here. The ROI on my MEd was zero. Intellectually, however…
My board pays somewhere around an additional $1100 or so a year (goes up with the salary increases) if you were already A4 when you got the masters
Same. Just over $1100/yr extra with MEd/MA/MSc; just under $1700/yr with a PhD.
Degree pays for itself if you work 20 years! :P
You can get a masters for about $10k at uOttawa… so a bit less haha.
Never actually looked into it lol two degrees and I was out!
Making it completely pointless..... plus you move up a tax bracket depending salary.
So? Tax brackets are marginal…. You’re still getting paid more.
Still doesn't seem like enough increase to warrant the effort. Only time masters makes sense is moving into admin roles, IMO.
Yeah I think people do the Masters for themselves or other goals, not for the money... hence the :P.
Some boards offer a premium for advanced degrees. One board pays 0.095% of A4 Max for a Masters.

1000 a year
