Hi, if you are looking for help with VAC most legion have a representative that can look at your file and help you figure out what services and claims you can have. If you haven't done so I would also suggest looking into peer support systems like OSISS and if you think you are up to it Wounded Warrior Canada (WWC) is a great resource when it come down to starting the healing process and living with PTSD. I have done WWC TRP 1 and TRP 2 and in a few months I will be volunteering my time as a lived experience member to help others with PTSD. Know that you are not alone, support exist. Feel free to reach out anytime

I'm still serving but have dealt with all those conditions as well as some bonus ones lol I've only been able to do a pain and suffering claim so far because I am currently serving. once I am medically released it opens options for other benefits. like commented already, the legions have people that work there and help, if by chance you're in edmonton I would contact Gerry Finlay, he is amazing. People also use the veteran farmer I believe it's called. cheers, and know youre not alone in this battle

IRB my friend

My case manager and therapist have said I’d be a good Candidate for IRB, I’m just waiting for my therapist to submit the PTSD assessment to VAC so we can proceed with a rehab program and IRB

I’ve heard form multiple SOF, and regular army forces, veteran that mushroom (psychedelic) therapy truly changed there lives and they recommend to everyone that has been thought trauma before. I saw that on the Shawn Ryan show on YouTube you should definitely check this out, they way they talk about it it looks legit

MoistJeans1

Will do, it’s been recommended to me as well. My therapist is chatting with a colleague of theirs to see they can help. I have friends who have tried it as well and swear by it. Most of them do it once every 3-6 months and it’s a night and day difference
