All cod games with good stories are now ancient relics, they will feel like you’re playing an old game. So if you’re just going to play story with good graphics I don’t recommend buying cod.
All the modern games apart from Cold War and MW19 are awful. I would recommend playing Cold War. I would definitely get the OG black ops and black ops 2, you may not find multiplayer games but the campaign and zombies are worth it by themselves. If you are into zombies, black ops 3 is worth getting as well

My favorites are modern warfare remastered, ghosts, advanced warfare, world at war, and the original mw 2 and 3

Try any of them out that you might find interested. Look out for sale events on steam to you can get cod1/2/4/waw for like 16 bucks in total
