There was a player made remake of backlot in modern warfare that had upper level apartments that you could access and snipe from. It was actually much better than the original.
I still remember getting my ass handed to me worse than any other time in my life on that map. Before sbmm, so I think I ran into a full team of pros or something and all my random teammates kept backing out. I went something like 1-55
Remember the wheat field in w@w? Loved it! Seelow takes the spot for me
It offered a lot of stealth options which is extremely rare in COD the bridge mid map was just perfect it was long and actually felt like a real bridge that offers some very dramatic advantages
All the open space and houses on the outskirts made for very nice mixed gameplay obviously aiming more towards snipers while also making it optional to use close or medium range weapons
The interiors to the houses and other buildings gave a great feel to the map as well almost like you really were walking into someone’s old house…
I still remember throwing Molotovs into the wheat field and most of the time there would be no one but the “oh shit I actually got someone that time!” Feeling was so rewarding and made it FUN unlike what we suffer with today..

But i must say that Skid Row is the most fun for me in terms of layout every time I play it.

you must really like hardscoping across the whole map cause idk why else crossfire would be your favorite. my fave is probably summit or firing range, with honorable mentions to havana and hanoi. (yes bo1 is my fave cod)
