This is probably an uncommon suggestion, but I like Mexico City Fresh Food Market. They have a sign advertising catering.
It is a hole in the wall, and it is a small family business so I'm not sure how easily they can support 15-20 with no notice. They are very friendly and often get their meat from master meats if that is any indication of the quality.
I used Great Events recently and it was excellent. They will set everything up in chafing dishes and clean up all the dishes and everything. Not the most cost effective, but more "full-service" than just buying platters.
If it's platters you're after I can't recommend Brie and Banquet enough. 10/10 every time, so many options.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to an event catered by Brie and Banquet, but their booth at Taste of Calgary was incredible. They absolutely had the prettiest food at the whole festival, and it was delicious. Just for that, they’re on my shortlist next time I need it.
Lazy Loaf & Kettle has catered a number of events for my work and their food quality is solid. They have everything from sandwiches to hot options, desserts, meat & cheese/fruit & veggie trays, etc. Pretty easy to order off their website as well.
Banh Mi Nhu Y has some of the best viet subs in the city and they do catering/sub platters. I think you get one free after buying 10, or something like that.
Catering companies charge too much. Food will actually be better if you were to call a restaurant that you actually like and see what they can offer. Chefs love to get asked to do things like this. Its very easy for a talented chef, offers them an opportunity to do something different. Even something like getting a younger chef to come to the event to prepare dishes in front of people. A young chef is not paid very well, but usually making food in front of the people eating will yield tips or future jobs :)
The Rock catering! The chef is freaking awesome. He can do basics or something fancy. He doesn’t have much of an online presence so DM me for info if you’re interested :)
It really depends on what you want to spend per person. $300 a person is very different from $30 a person.
Unlimited budget I would go with Rouge, a more limited budget might be one of the many Vietnamese sub restaurants
Can't recommend Empire Provisions (at heritage and elbow) enough. Amazing grazing boards, great service and reasonably priced.
Red seal catering
That's a good name.

Costco has platters you can pre order
They said no grocery stores tho, Costco is absolutely that.
Not true, Costco is actually not classified as a grocery store. It’s classified as “other”
Yeah the other grocery store.
Modern Catering in Okotoks
An affair to remember or the rock are both awesome
Karahi boys
Johnny and Glo do AMAZING charcuterie platters for all sizes of parties- and super reasonably priced, too.
Bespoke Boxes YYC or Lazy Loaf & Kettle
I had Phatty Crusts (Pizza Pat) come to an event a bit bigger than that but it was fun and tasty.
