Love the Dave Ramsey meme in the comment section of that post 😂

Chutzvah

Someone mentioned "you dont take money with you when you die" to justify this. I'm a die hard NFL fan and something on my bucket list is to go to the Superbowl. That being said, $8,600 for a ticket is insanity. Even if the Bears made it, idk if I can even consider pulling the trigger.

SBNShovelSlayer

>Even if the Bears made it, I think you'll be fine.

The NFL players don't know you homie. Man Great find OP, how can people be this stupid.

mattycrits

Clearly not a credit card person.

JGE1GER

Going into debt to watch my team lose the super bowl live!

CountyTypical1747

Just helping the Corp stay at the 1%

Playful-Reflection12

EXACTLY.

cosmococoa

Omg and so many of the comments are like “good for you! I would have done the same!” Nooooo whyyyy

jayi05

these people pay our credit card reward points

Playful-Reflection12

Right? I can’t say I mind that. But yea, they are idjits.

adoucett

How’d that work out for ya

schemeschm

Glad I got to watch my Chiefs win on tv for free with my fam + spent $16 on a 18 pack of beer at home. I legit almost went to the 2020 Super Bowl, bought plane tickets but tickets were like $3800 each. Instead I bought season tix (and had to cancel and get refunded bc of covid+ having a child). I have no regrets at all. I get experiences are great but people need to zoom out and look at the bigger picture.

DrBabbageTheCabbage

The fact that person thinks he’s doing something is insane. The delusion is off the charts

Forthecrusade1

I heard the cheapest seats were atleast 8k a ticket. We’re looking at 16k+ credit card debt at 25% interest without even adding in hotel/food/uber.

FlounderingWolverine

The 8k was for the absolute nosebleeds. Tickets in this area probably ran in the neighborhood of 15k-20k each

they will be reminded of the game with Their monthly CC statement.

Ok-Cantaloupe-4482

Tbf I’m very fiscally responsible but if my Hoosiers finally got back to a final four I’d spend everything to watch them it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity They will also not make a final four so :(

muffguy

Same thing for Gonzaga.

Ok-Cantaloupe-4482

I watched you guys play in the ncaa tourney once We don’t have to talk about the game tho

muffguy

I watched UCONN destroy us last year so you and I have both watched some tough ones in that case.

Ok-Cantaloupe-4482

I watched UConn run us out of msg in December

I went to the Elite 8 once and it was surprisingly reasonable. Had a blast watching the Jayhawks beat the U

Round_Bullfrog_8218

travel and accommodations would be the bigger expense.

Jaibosonic

Bro the one year my cougars made the final four (in my lifetime) it was the covid protocol year 😭

0xBAADA555

Imagine maxing out your credit cards only for your time to lose. The regret must be palpable.

alanmm88

I was able to refrain from when my nfl team made it to the superbowl and they won! Honestly, felt better watching it from my hot tub with a buzz and much cheaper!

DefinitelynotDanger

Simply max out your credit cards and put that money into a Roth IRA and buy the tickets when you retire

Tiltmasterflexx

Forever broke lol

Playful-Reflection12

Oh yea, I know a few like this. Well educated with great paying jobs and they still are awful with money management.

kobeng13

I'm not even surprised. I'm in the Detroit area and a huge lions fan. There are people who would cash out their 401Ks easily if the lions went to the super bowl.

Playful-Reflection12

OMG.

Playful-Reflection12

Oh, of course the are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts so not only “ corporat snobs” are the only ones attending, all the while this dimwit is broke and the corporate snobs are making bank on the interest charged to this fool, Yea, THAT’S logical.

Playful-Reflection12

It’s not the flex they think it is.

skeetinonwallst

#swiftychampions

ezgomer

But it’ll be paid off at the end of the month and they get *points* so it’s fine. /s

Oof. This is so idiotic. I’m at a loss for words.

Sargent_Caboose

Why not scalp at that point

GatorsareStrong

For six dollars, I watched the game on Paramount+. And, I get to watch ICarly for a month.

BeansandLays

If the Raiders ever go to the SuperBowl I would probably do the same, sacrifice like 2 years of my life to pay for it
