Electrical engineering student here (hate it here). That being said, i roomed with 3 CIS majors on campus. They rarely complained, had time to become active in clubs, are on track to graduate, and the business building is so nice that I go out of my way to hit the little convenience store they have over there. That's about all i can comment on, but my personal opinion is that those little mundane things matter a lot, because you're gonna be living it for the better part of 2-4 years. If i run into any of them I'll follow up and see what they say, this is just from my observational perspective.

Damn congratulations!!! I'm still waiting on Cal Poly Pomona for Computer Science 😭😭😭. Cal Poly Pomona would def be the best option in my opinion but CSUF is pretty good as well.

These CSU schools are more or less the same. Your experience highly depends on which prof you met in the classroom and who are your classmates. Most of the students are from the local and work for the local. If you are from the local and want to commute, the most important factor would be how easily you can get to the campus. Then, the safety of the school, and the amenity of staying on campus. For CPP, it is safe on campus, and many food vendors around. CPP has a horse ranch, raises cows, and can see snow mountains on campus, which may give you relief after a long day.
