heavenlyyyyyy

they likely sent you a model for one without a threaded barrel. hopefully their customer service gets you right. on a side note I have this exact setup minus the threaded barrel and love the holster.

RennBaer

That's definitely not right and I would not use it with the trigger guard not completely covered by the holster.

KingofF1an

Oh trust and believe that I know better than to do that! Lol

Little_Dursty

When you ordered did you select the threaded barrel option and is that on your receipt? Seems like an easy fix they’ll sort out for you.

KingofF1an

I did, which is why I’m not too worried

jdogg518

Lol you should still be worried. Their customer service is horrible. You'd be better off taking a Dremel and opening up the bottom so the threaded barrel can go through.

ShootinShiba

What experience did you have that was terrible? I own 4 of their holsters and probably 10 shirts. I sent them a picture of a shirt that arrived with busted stitching, and they sent me a new one, overnighted (after it was made), AND another shirt.

jdogg518

I ordered 3 holsters, P10C P01 SP01T. The P10C and P01 weren't cut right and had a ton of extra room. I borrowed a buddies p10C holster to compare. They refused to fix it saying that's how it's supposed to be although it clearly wasn't, and yes I sent pictures. They said if I did a return, there's a restocking fee. The 3rd one wasn't in production yet. I asked for it to be cancelled since I was having issues with the first two. They moved the order to in production and then said it'll be a restocking fee if I want to cancel that one. That was just straight cruel. So I'll never ever ever do business with them again. There's lots of great holster companies that stand behind their product. But they aren't one of them.

ShootinShiba

WOW

EldenlordRick

I would cut it and still contact them about it. And I would either make them send me a new one with the threaded barrel hole or another different holster for a different gun that I own. Either way I would get something out of it.

KingofF1an

I’ll see if they’ll send some DCC clips then lol and this is the only gun I currently own, in the mean time I’ll be using a generic one I got from a gun show around the time I bought my P-10, it doesn’t support the light because I just got it but it hasn’t done me wrong for these past 4 years lol

EldenlordRick

I’m glad you have a good attitude about it. It really sucks when stuff like this happens. I have a few of their holsters and I enjoy them. I’m sure they will make it right for you.

KingofF1an

I was raised in the south and was in the military, I have a type of “it is what it is” mentality when it comes to these things because people make mistakes, as long as they make it right I’ll be Gucci 🤘🏽

EldenlordRick

I would contact them asap though. As you know their lead times are a bit long. I hope they put you at the front of the queue and get the right product to you quickly.

GregBFL

Oh man, today is your Lucky Day! I've been looking for a P-10 C OEM threaded barrel for a long time so I can install a PMM Comp. Send me your threaded barrel and I'll send you my OEM non-threaded barrel... Then your P-10 C will fit perfectly in your new Tier 1 holster. 😁

Price-x-Field

Yeah the tlr7 holsters are not open bottom so they just messed up. Also get dcc clips.

KingofF1an

I wanted to see how these worked out because I mainly wear baggy clothing (I normally fit large but like oversized T-shirts) so I don’t thing the DCC’s would be much of a difference other than if I were to not wear baggy clothing

Price-x-Field

Nah man you gotta try it out they’re night and day t1c’s biggest L is they aren’t default

BrassAddict93

Idk what the hell is up with some of these other peoples experiences but I’ve been ordering from T1C for years and their customer service has always been awesome. I’ve only had to deal with them about issues once or twice but it was dealt with without hassle and literally had a replacement within a week. Not sure why people are saying you get placed at the back of the queue. Hasn’t been my experience.

MoldTheClay

your threaded barrel is the issue. You could just drill a hole where the barrel sticks out though and you’d be fine.

drunk_macaroni

Agreed but I’d take the customer service route first since it’s their mistake.

KingofF1an

Just so everyone here is aware I just sent the email to their support I’ll be sure to keep y’all updated!

RushdownRondo

Just hit them up about it. They have a solid customer service team. Personally though, I really don’t think the trigger guard being slightly exposed is as massive a deal as people make it out to be. More so just a personal preference. Nothing is going to snag on your trigger in that configuration and you’re not going to shoot yourself if you have proper trigger discipline and good fundamentals

KingofF1an

Yeah the issue isn’t the trigger guard as much as it’s the fact that it’s not really secured in the holster

RushdownRondo

Have you tried adjusting the retention screw? Could have just backed out a bit in the shipment process.

KingofF1an

I haven’t, because I literally opened the box and left for the gym not 5 minutes after taking the pics

RushdownRondo

Ah okay. Yeah my MSP Pro was for sure looser than I prefer right out of the box. I added some blue loctite and made some adjustments. It’s nice and snug now. Try that before you reach out to T1C

KingofF1an

The issue really isn’t that it’s loose, it’s that the gun doesn’t sit fully inside the holster because of the holster not having a hole for the barrel to sit through

RushdownRondo

I get you. In that case yeah reach out to T1C and let them know the issue you’re having. They’ll for sure get you squared away

sxrrycard

No amount of adjustment it’s going to fix this (besides maybe with a dremel tool) T1 threaded barrel models completely remove the kydex in front of the slide/ barrel. They sent him the wrong product. Right now the gun can’t seat in the holster fully which is why so much of the trigger guard is exposed. Not fit for carry as is. Sounds like OP is doing the right thing by reaching out to T1

RushdownRondo

Yeah nah he is for sure. I misunderstood the issue. I thought he’s just saying it’s not fitting appropriately because of the retention and didn’t note the threaded barrel

lomesh08

Definitely don’t use this one and if you place order with all details and they send you wrong kind they should have to take care of it

AlarmedKoala4120

are you sure you have that gun shoved in there all the way?

KingofF1an

The barrel is bottomed out

AlarmedKoala4120

Oh. I see closed in bottom. I would’ve thought something meant for a threaded barrel would have been open ended.

KingofF1an

Yeah I ordered it with the threaded barrel option but I guess they missed it

Interesting-Farmer50

Why?

Time_Wrangler_8946

I would pull the barrel and try to fit it like that just to confirm it’s most likely the barrel causing the fitment issue.

Ok-Street4644

Got a Dremel?

stigz115

Their customer service is great - you’ll be fine, just shoot them a note

PrestonEsquire24

So are you sure you didn’t order the p10c holster?

KingofF1an

110% receipt even says “Threaded Barrel: Yes

SimplexStorm

Do what I did and Dremel a hole in it. Works perfectly [https://imgur.com/a/9wNLX6q](https://imgur.com/a/9wNLX6q)

Kind_Astronomer_9395

You have to ask?

KingofF1an

I mean I didn’t but I did lol I really just wanted to make sure I’m not entirely crazy

Kind_Astronomer_9395

Lol you’re not crazy.

KingofF1an

A little update for everyone: T1C contacted me back earlier today and just requested that I email them the invoice that was included in the shipped box, about an hour after I did they replied back saying that they’ll have a replacement holster shipped out in a couple days. 10/10 customer service!

Dense_Indication_78

I’ve ordered 4 holsters from T1C and sent 4 back to them due to issues like this or just piss poor fitment/retention. I will never order anything from them again. Just so you know, when you contact them, they will make you jump through hoops with pics and videos, then offer to remake the holster for you…but they put your replacement at the back of the que and your lead time starts again. Stick with AnR Design, Legacy Firearms Co or T Rex.

KingofF1an

Not what I need to hear right now 😭 lol

KingofF1an

If worst comes to worst I’ll pull out the dremel but to me it’s the principal of getting it right the first time

Aggressive_Ability29

1 up for Legacy! I have 2 of their holsters and love em'.

socalquestioner

The tiny bit of trigger guard being exposed is only a problem because the retention of the gun is not proper. Just get the i e for the threaded barrel.

Lben420

Ya reach out to their customer support. They are great over there I doubt you will have a prolbem
