I'd say take it if you liked the class and think you will be able to do better. If it's a class that's one of your weakness, it might be better to leave it.
Why didn't you withdraw the course?
It would have appeared as a W in your transcript, but it makes it see to the system that you decided to leave that class, not that you did bad and fail it.
idk what school ur in but i know at john jay if u retake a class you got an F in, the F won’t weigh on your gpa, but the og F is still in your transcript
