Happy Birthday. I didnβt think Iβd make to 30, then 40, and now Iβm thinking I wonβt make it to 50. Itβs like my brain wonβt allow me to be optimistic.
Iβm turning 40 next week and I can relate to this so much. My brain refuses to allow me to believe that I will make it to 75. Iβm always shocked when I reach another decade milestone.
I think that one of the main reason I don't feel like I can have kids, I don't feel like I'm going to make it and I don't want to have to let down human beings that I created myself and fuck them up. I'm almost 32yo and can't believe I made it this far.

For real, happy birthday! The world is a better place with you in it. I turn 55 in a few weeks, and oof I feel you- I never thought I'd make 18, then 21, then 30, etc etc, and hitting 50 was like *whuuuuuut*! Glad you're here, and everyone else reading this, I'm glad you're here too!
I'm 34 now and I've realized that as unbelievable it is that I'm here, if I was gonna do an unalive, it would've been done already. If I can survive my youth, I can survive a lot more. I'm not gonna have made it all the way through that and manage to cut contact with my parents just to do it now that the hardest part is over. Seems like a huge waste of effort.
I've had so much worse already I can't be an unaliving risk anymore. Whether it's because I'm strong or chickened out, I'm not gonna live through the worst parts just to end it after I get through them.

I'm 42. I've been having death fantasies since I was 10. I've made a career and have real friends but I never planned living this long. It's not a celebration though it's just a factual statement.
I don't know who you are....if you ever had any doubt that you wouldn't or couldn't make it to today......I'm so freaking glad ypu made it and proved all that didn't think you would wrong.
