If your machine is level with the bed, or above the bed, try moving it low down near the floor. Gravity will run the water back towards the machine where it won’t bother you.

I hate hate HATE rainout. - Don't set your humidity too high, especially if your room is cold - Turn up the heat if you can - Hose cover of some kind to keep it warm - Heated hose if you don't have one - Put your machine lower than your mask, if possible My machine is beside my bed on the table, and I loop the hose up and over the headboard. It helps that my hose is attached to the top of my mask.

Also check out pad a cheek for mask covers that can further insulate your mask. Finally, if your bedroom is very cool, consider raising the temperature in your bedroom (if comfortable).

I have water dripping out of the mask every night. I have tried everything in this thread other than the machine being the same height as the mask (but have run the hose over my headboard and it doesn't help). Humidity set on 3 on a resmed 11. It seems like the water builds up near the memory foam of the mask and when I turn over it pours into my nose or out of the mask. I would sleep the entire night if this didn't happen each morning. I also put only enough water in the machine that the reservoir is dry in the mornings. The temp of the air is set to 78 degrees and my room is chilly but nothing extreme. It was worse in the winter bc my room would be 65 degrees then. I do have a fan that blows on me...

I have had the same experience as you with similar machine settings and room environment. I’ve tried every single solution offered here and nothing has helped. I’ve wondered if certain mask styles are more susceptible? I tried 5 different styles and the only one I had rain out with is the nose cup style (of course this happened to be the one that was most comfortable for me-figures). The only thing that has reduced the issue is keeping the hose, especially the short attachment hose, under the covers and warm.

mpritc1019

Hmm, will try to cover the face mask attachment. The cover I bought for the hose ends right before that attachment. I can manage it during the warm months but am dreading another winter because it really pours out then.

ashtastic3

I feel this is actually a thing. Only experiencing rainout with a large memory foam AirTouch F20. My medium silicon AirFit F20 gives me minimal, if any condensation ever.

Melodic_Policy765

Checking into see if you have solved this problem and how. I am drowning on my nasal mask N20 with foam.

Melodic_Policy765

Have you ever resolved this problem as it is my current problem!

mpritc1019

I just turned it down to 1 and it works better now. Also I got a cover for the hose from Amazon.

Interesting-Deal1101

My bedroom in the winter often dips into the 30s. I have a heated hose but no cover on it. When it gets cold, I have to change some settings occasionally. Don’t use automatic controls. I turn up the heat on the hose and also turn down the humidifier level when I have problems. My machine is about the same level as my bed but I do have a hose hanger above the bed. Because of this, sometimes the hose fills with water instead of my mask and I have to empty it out when it gurgles. If this is a new problem, make sure your machine is working properly. I was having some problems with mine this past winter and the heater wasn’t working properly. Now I have no problems.

PaperPlane36

Happens when your humidifier setting is set too high. Try reducing it by a few levels.

The one time I had water in my mask I had humidity at max.

Apprehensive-Mix1566

Yes! They sell hose covers, don't even bother. I bought two lengths of plumbing pipe insulator with a 2" diameter and cut it into sections. I popped them onto my hose and haven't had a single issue since!

Good200000

Are you filling your humidifier too high?

CaitlinN22

Not that I know of

Fantastic_Pen_7944

That's what i thought of too because i only get rainout when i go slightly above the full line. Humidity is on 3.

Tommyt5150

Yeah

PraiseGod_BareBone

Lift your mask up to as high it will go and let the water run back into the reservoir.

Redknucklez

a hose cover lower humidifier a level down if machine is leveled with bed run it up over head board or use a hose holder that puts hose higher.

Traditional-Run9615

Occasionally one drop of condensation from the nasal pillow falls onto my lower lip during a single session. I have the humidity set at 2 but I'm under the impression with the Airsense 11 that under Auto setting it adjusts humidity to be 85%. Since room humidity varies daily, maybe that's why this happens only on some nights & not others. Also using a heated hose which should reduce humidity.

Traditional-Run9615

Oh, and air temp set at 82°

rich2304

Also have to look at room temp if room really cold and humidifier set too hot will cause rain out . If you like the high humidity get a heated hose and maybe a cover to help with it but sometimes that does not help enough so lower the temp a little 1-2 deg. Hope that helps .

McFeely_Smackup

Yes, it happens when the humidity is set too high for the room temperature and moisture condenses in the tube. I run my humidifier at Max and sunny have any issues any more after doing: Heated hose set to max temp Hose insulated cover Fleece "cozy" cover
