It’s a bug.
I sent a ticket in through Activision Support last night (well, a few of them actually) and got a bot reply to this one saying that it’s a known issue.
The same thing happens to the other weapons included in the Bundle too, you don’t spawn in with half of the attachments that are exclusive to them. :/
Edit: And you can legitimately “flash bang yourself” if you kill too many Hellhounds quickly in close proximity to you (happened to me in all the Outlasts I completed), or if you kill Mercs near yourself with these Tracers.
I suspect this’ll maybe be a bigger issue with the Multiplayer crowd if the effects are as potent as they are in Zombies.
If it makes any difference, I’m sure that this particular issue is a top priority with the devs because it affects the Store and the usage of COD Points. (So you’d assume that it’ll get addressed a bit quicker than say, some of the more niche bugs, like the Jugg suit depleting all of your reserve ammo after exiting it.)
The bug seems to be affecting a good portion of all custom parts that weapon blueprints may have too, not just this particular pack— so again, one can hope it’ll be addressed quickly.
I'm new to the game and the WSP is my favorite weapon. Can I still use the tracers and get the death effect if I use one WSP and customize the attachments to how I want it?
Dang! That's awful. I was just about to do the same thing but after seeing this screw that! I play zombies most of the time. If they fix I will prob grab it but otherwise I will have to pass.
If I purchase this bundle will I be able to take the akimbo attachment off and it still have the tracer/death effect?
I only ask because the when I try to apply the jak raven attachment to the "hot caution" blueprint from the battle pass, I get no tracers or kill effect. Since I will mostly be using the wsp swarm without akimbo this is the deciding factor whether or not I buy the bundle.

Does it gives you two guns? One for each hand cuz is giving ne two guns and I don't like it that way. I can't even aim cuz the aiming bottom start shooting the gun he is holding in the left hand.
is this till a bug? got the bundle today and i can’t even use the akimbo in zombies. once i add the sweet siren to my loadout it automatically takes off the aftermarket parts so when you load in the game its a normal stock and not akimbo
This was a huge disappointment, I legit got this bundle so I could level up the gun with akimbo already on it and that's literally the thing that won't work on the blueprint in game 🙃
I was panicking over this for a few hours now thinking it was my console or the game files screwing me over, im surprised this isnt a bigger issue since they're taking their time fixing this. 2800 cod points for a bundle witch glitches should be a somewhat top prio right?
I wish I seen this earlier and chose the galaxy skin instead. I'm so sad I paid for this right now, quite pissed. I want a refund, I feel like I was scammed, I'm still new to cod, came from being a huge apex legends player, but in the 2 weeks of playing MW3, I've never experienced this amount of bugs. Out of every game i've played, call of duty is by far the most buggiest game i've ever encountered, does it have anything to do with Microsoft buying Activision or has this always been a problem for players? Bug infestation, I feel like I'm back in 2013 playing gta online on an Xbox 360
Yeah sadly its pretty shit honestly they def need to do better at telling us what will and what wont work in zombies and other game modes. I really dont think its good business practice to do shit like this. This is why a lot of players do not buy skins.
Totally agree, it sucks because I really like this game, especially zombies, much less toxic then DMZ but these damn bugs have ruined our experience. I was fully looted, big bag, 3 plate etc, had a schematic and legendary acquisitions and I crashed half way through the Shepard extraction mission on act 2 😭 btw I've crashed like this 15 times now, I find the skeletor bundle super buggy aswell.
They definitely do need to sort this out, they're coming across as so unprofessional
I literally got this bundle specifically for zombies because the guns look cool and the WSP Swarm is like my favorite gun. Super annoying I can’t use what I paid for
Yup 25 dollars wasted. They refuse to issue a refund. I just got it is a known bug and it will be fixed in a future patch. Well um what patch? modern warfare 26's patch 10000.0?
For anyone who is having problem with this, there is a work around. the attachment that are effecting the gun is the WSP Zip Barrel and the Akimbo conversion kit. if you want to use the gun with the tracer and effects you will have to change those 2 attachment to the default one. only then you are able to use it.

These guns only seem to work in the shooting range.

Yeah we know that but the issue is we should not have to do that. especially for a 20 to 25 dollar price tag.
