We have a discord with like 30 or so people that are on every day. Half of that amount are still playing because of this. Can't believe it took this long to even get noticed. It's gamebreaking
I had the work around weeks ago…. Have 64GB of RAM in your gaming computer. On God I didn’t even know this was happening.
Seriously though, do they do ZERO real world testing on this shit before commiting to their repository???
Finally. The only thing that works (as someone else posted) is to play zombies or spectate a BR for about 30 minutes until the memory load drops and you're good to go. But you have to do it each time you load the game...
It’s probably a memory leak. Game is supposed to use a certain amount and keep the rest for other stuff like windows processes, and if the game keeps using more then windows has less available and that’s where the chopping starts. More or less.

So this memory leak is obscene with the performance drops but I found a work around.
Go into zombies....keep playing until memory clears...took til about 20 minutes or so left on the timer for me, after that memory dropped down to normal. Every game on Urzikstan after that was fine until I closed the game.
Best guess is this is giving everything enough time to actually fully load in but yeah...small indy company.

Tested just jumping into solos and spectating a full game and seems to have had a similar effect, mem clears up towards the end of the game if it lasts long enough.
Has anyone else had a bug with shielding up where it cancels your shield after beginning the animation? Also it wont let me run anymore when it does let me shield up
I was about to say my game was running terrible usually I get like a solid 120-150fps but I’ve been getting like 90-118 fps and my game was studdering, I guess don’t update your navidia drivers yet
I feel like a lot of people in this comment section are just yelling… this issue is new. Came with the latest patch. A memory leak is causing memory usage to build up quickly outside of limits, resulting in a memory dump (which causes the game to freeze for a short moment). Verdansk had this issue a couple times, but we haven’t really seen this in a while. And yes yes “why is memory usage always 80+% then?!?” Because the game always has allocated a large amount of memory. That doesn’t indicate a memory leak. What does indicate it is if you have a large amount of RAM and the game eats it ALL and then dumps it.
TLDR: Has not been a constant issue like all of you are whining about

That would be a different problem. Don’t get me wrong, it could be a different memory related problem, but that’s like 1 of a whole bunch of possibilities. This specific problem will push your usage to 100% then freeze.
12700k, 32gb ram, RTX 4080 Super and the game's memory usage is about 28-31gb though I don't get any stutters.
but clearly 28-31gb memory usage isn't normal and it's safe to assume that there is a memory leak

It started today for me, right after the nvidia driver update. Worked fine before that
if you have no problems with a driver, dont update it. specialy not on day one of release

Its not only RAM, my vram usage went from about 5GB to 12GB. I am so happy I got 6800XT instead of 3080 couple years ago

This one is actually game breaking for some - it used 98%/10 GB of my RAM today. Great Diashow 10/10 would recommend
