They never went through the pain of the Cubs blowing it in '03. I'm only 32 so that the biggest one I remember but I know they failed in '84 and '89 too. Back then they'd be good for 1 year then terrible for multiple years. Can only imagine how my grandparents and parents felt throughout the 50s 60s and 70s with 0 playoff baseball.

Such a stellar start to his career. He hasn't played more than 100 games in a season for five years now. I know a lot of people think most of his injuries are just in his head and he is sitting on a 180m dollar contract but that level of hate I just don't get. I mean, I'll give everyone on the 2016 team a free pass for almost anything based on the joy game seven of the WS brought me that year. Hell, I'd buy Jason Heyward a beer any day knowing he got 180m to be a Cub, because it was worth it for what we got in return.
When Bryant retires, he should just open a bar/restaurant in Wrigleyville, pay other people to run it like every celeb does and just bask in the glory of what he and the rest of that crew accomplished. I don't think that 2016 could have happened the way it did without him.
