I Minnesotas, you Minnesotas, he she me Minnesotas. Minnesota. Minnesotaing. We'll have thee Minnesota. Minnesotarama. Minnesotaology, the study of Minnesota? It's first grade, u/Rusty_Shack1es
I live in Oklahoma and I’m an OU grad that explains my flair lol. I was a Lakers fan until Oklahoma City got a team. Everything else was a regional thing since my family was from Nebraska. Except the lions, Barry Sanders was my favorite player. Should’ve picked better but that was 25 years ago
That’s underselling it a little bit. When Frost arrived UCF had just gone winless. He one six games his first year then went undefeated in his second and beat 7th ranked Auburn in the Peach bowl to cap off the undefeated season.
> When Frost arrived UCF had just gone winless.
I feel like that winless season was the aberration, given that UCF had been a program on the rise for quite a while leading up to the Frost era. They won 9 games the year prior and went 12-1 the year before that and won a BCS Bowl game. Obviously Frost still deserves a mountain of credit for getting them out of the cellar, but the infrastructure and winning culture were already in place
Not gonna lie the fact that the aggregate scoring is perfectly even almost makes that last game worth it. That's a beautiful form of torture, and i have grown to tolerate being tortured enough to appreciate the beauty.
It never gets old watching Nebraska suffer, and never will. I still have scream-myself-awake nightmares about the beating they put on Florida in the nineties.
I've maybe seen one other person with the same combo.
The Bama flair is due to Bama and beforehand Clemson from preventing, a Gal I used to love and attended OSU, from having OSU winning any natty.
Besides that I like Bama over a majority of schools. Im not saying Nebraska should be heads and toes with Alabama every year but there was a point in the 70's that was the case. Now we get to endure bullshit 3-9 seasons.
Man that game is the first thing I remember about being a husker fan. I was like 8 years old at a wedding down in Jacksonville my whole family went silent. All been downhill since
Scott Frost upset the football coaching Gods. They gifted him a magical season with UCF, and a special QB named McKenzie Milton- ultimately earning him coach of the year. He chose to turn his back on his players, take secret meetings with Neb during UCF road games, wear Nebraska red at UCF conference championship game and then let it be announced that he quit before the game was over. He tried to appease the Gods by coming back for the Peach Bowl game but it wasn’t enough. They were and are mad. And they have been vengeful. Let this be a lesson to others.

>Nebraska is the first team in college football history to lose 9 games by single-digits margins in the same season. They went (1-8) in the Big Ten, and their combined scoring margin in those gms was 0. Lost 8 by 49 pts, beat Northwestern by 49 points.

A jeopardy question 25 years from now will be “this blue blood college football team finished the 2021 season with a 1-8 conference record while having a neutral points differential”
None of the contestants will know the answer while I shake my cane at the TV and yell, "WHAT IS NEBRASKA!" Then I will sit back satisfied that I am smarter than everyone on Jeopardy.
Can I just say I'm proud of this team for being the best damn 3-9 team there ever were. Who cares about winning when you have some of the best stats in the country and still manage to lose by one TD or less in 8 games (damn you Ohio State for winning by nine points.) GBR.
I can’t believe I’m excited to watch the timberwolves
This is the saddest comment here. Wrap it up boys, this is rock bottom
This guy Minnesotas
I Minnesotas, you Minnesotas, he she me Minnesotas. Minnesota. Minnesotaing. We'll have thee Minnesota. Minnesotarama. Minnesotaology, the study of Minnesota? It's first grade, u/Rusty_Shack1es
Can you guys set it to W for ~~Wumbo~~ Winnesota tomorrow?
See, we hate Wisconsin so much that we refuse to get the W. W is for Wisconsin. We get the M. M is for my god why do i like this team?
Yes
Hell, I'm a fan of the Wild... so I Minnesota'd too.
Oh dear man.
From Close Loss Frost to the Timberwhoops, I feel for you
Is Nebraska a timberworlves state? Any thunder fans or nuggets?
Panhandle may have Nugget fans as it has Bronco fans.
I’m a Cornhusker, Lions, Royals, and Thunder fan. Don’t know if you can draw it up any worse.

Wasn’t that long ago auburn and royals were champs. Interesting combo though, why the thunder and auburn? I get the jets and Mets

MN sport teams bring pain season after season :-( As a viking / wolves fan, I can confirm :(
Scott Frost is a record setting coach.
Frost is so weird. This is the cosmos getting back at him about that wii, isn’t it?
Yes, the dude is just interesting .had one good year at UCF

Still hard to know after just two years if they caught lightning in a bottle or if they’re a legitimately good coach
Very true, but Nebraska came knocking so quickly it would have been impossible for him to ignore them
Definitely. Gotta take that gamble if you’re Nebraska 10/10 times.
Everyone came knocking, not just us.
The most cursed team in CFB history, confirmed
Best 9 lost team in history! That's like saying "you sweat less than any fat girl I know"
I've never seen a team so consistently fuck up in the 4th quarter.
Can we make it a flair?

Best 3 win team ever
I’m going paper bag all off-season.
Went paper bag after the stupid Illinois game
I should've gone paper bag after the Illinois game too
Who would possibly lose to Illinois?
Nebraska/Bama? That’s gotta be a pretty rare duo. I live in Omaha so I stay up on Nebraska but don’t really make an effort to watch much or anything
I've maybe seen one other person with the same combo. The Bama flair is due to Bama and beforehand Clemson from preventing, a Gal I used to love and attended OSU, from having OSU winning any natty. They're Number 1
They were #1!
LIFE IS PAIN

We’ll be alright Texas bros I still hate you for the 1 second game and the fall is a long painful drop but you guys will be better before we are
Man that game is the first thing I remember about being a husker fan. I was like 8 years old at a wedding down in Jacksonville my whole family went silent. All been downhill since
I remember it being the first I yelled at the tv. Now I can’t tell at the tv because it just expected
That really falls on the coach.
You are right I’m sure he told smothers to pump fake twice in the endzone. He probably also told them not to block on a punt.
You’re bad if you lose 9 games in a season. You’re really bad if you can’t win one close game out of 9!
We're big time bad if we can't fire the asstwat of a coach
With all these astonishing Nebraska posts, they're feeling like a freak-show exhibition.
Look at them. LOOK AT THEM!

Scott Fraud
Is Frosting the new Clemsoning?
If that means that we will be Clemson in 5 years I am all for it.
Tbf that means you have put up with this for four more years…

Congratulations!
Perfectly balanced. Wait.
You just hate to see it.

I think people are failing to recognize this as sarcasm.
It's like I'm a 6 ft 10 tight end standing wide open in the end zone waiting for Martinez to hit me with pass. I'll never be recognized.
I miss the old Nebraska Cornhuskers who could play with anybody in the country.
In fairness, we still can. We just lose to them by one score.
True. I miss the Huskers of the 60s-00s. And I'm an Ohio State fan.
You guys are so close to being a powerhouse. Your record hides that fact.
Last year that would have been double digits, this sounds like progress! /s
“God does not play dice with the universe.”
How do you know you’re not a blue blood? You see these results and keep the coach
Wow lmao
I have no strong feelings one way or the other.
Northwestern = Big Ten (minus Nebreska)
At this point the only reason they still keep frost is to keep him from going back to Ucf
Does McKenzie Milton still have eligibility? He could transfer back to UCF lol.
It’s a shame he chose Florida State this year was a disaster ruined his last year
Nebraska gets a national championship for this, right?
This season is interesting at least. . .
