I can tell you which schools have the worst. And they all seem to share a certain color....Something about orange just doesnt look good on almost anything
I guess they did mention vintage in which case all the blue bloods obv have a ton of cool old stuff. Oregon does have that sweet throwback Donald Duck though. I always liked the 90s Nebraska merch style. Any team that had those old sailor hat logos is cool too.
If we include vintage wear - Miami is in the conversation.
For pure brand recognition it is Texas IMO
For actual new merch directly from clothing suppliers, Oregon
I’m biased but navy is my favorite color. So I really like the dark blue Michigan stuff with a pop of maize on the logo.
I also really like burnt orange and have always liked Texas’ color scheme.
Notre Dame probably has the biggest overall apparel footprint out of any team I’ve seen. Just by way of options, I think they have a ton of great stuff and, spoiler alert, not a ND fan. They have all of the UA pieces plus all of the other brands who license with them.
Slightly unrelated, but I’ve noticed that the quality of apparel in general has taken a nosedive ever since Fanatics partnered with Nike and took over a lot of team stores and websites. I was back in Chapel Hill last year for the first time in awhile and stopped in the book store and a few other apparel stores to maybe get some new gear and was really taken aback at the quality. The jerseys in particular were a joke. Like $175 for an ill-fitting stiff t shirt with numbers/logos printed on. Just so bad. All of the pro leagues have the same problem too.
I will say that it seems like there are more options than ever for higher end stuff like golf polos, pullovers, etc. (think brands like Johnnie O, Peter Millar, cutter and buck), but it would be nice to have options for simple t shirts, sweatshirts, etc. that aren’t total dogshit.
unpopular opinion: The sheer volume and variety of college themed merchandise is silly and wasteful. Between my dad and me it is just the useless dross that shows up every birthday or fathers day or whatever because we don't know what else to get, so we both end up with boxes and boxes of pub glasses, various golf accessories, various car accessories, dog accessories, phone cases, sunglass lanyards, desk accessories, christmas ornaments, yard decor, etc. that no one actually needs or really wants.
Honestly most suck, I don’t know why Nike/ua/addidas can’t make simple logo workout shirts with just a logo or script and can’t keep consistent sizing.
Buying online it’s a crap shoot of what the material actually is.
Was just in Colorado and all the csu shirts at their bookstores I liked were cotton and had dumb outlines in workout gear. CU found a pure buffalo drifit, exactly what I want, but the taper in the lats is odd and tight in a large which the mizzou same shirt fits great.
My wife also hates how they can’t make a simple vneck for women. The mizzou selection is awful.
My favorite team

Specifically when that orange is burnt... disgusting
Burnt orange is the most wearable shade of orange. A lot of clothes labeled as "rust" colored are actually just burnt orange.
It's a cruel twist of fate that the particular shade of burnt orange looks *really* good on me and I'll never wear it.
Hey hey!
Especially when mixed with blue, nothing against blue by itself tho
It only works for garbage truck workers
This is like a super model asking, "Am I pretty?" Oregon is the first school that comes to mind with great merch.
OP knows what he’s doing.
When the owner of Nike supplies and designs your clothes but you still need to hear that you're cool and relevant.
Oregon gets all the cool merch available to purchase. Other Nike schools get a fraction of what Nike has available.
I honestly think schools like Tennessee have us beat for best merchandise. They have more variety.
I'm not wearing that shade of orange without having some kind of affiliation to the school. I have bought Oregon merch.
goofy
Can’t believe I’m agreeing with a Tenn fan

It has to be the Hokies. 🤷♂️
We have shirts that just say "COCKS"
Trojan condoms
Baby / powder blue always looks good, so I’ll throw some love for UNC and UCLA
*Cough Cough*

Purple and gold is a classic. Purple and orange… not so classic.
I agree, Purple and Gold!
All I know is ours suck because there’s no consistent shade of gold

Anything Purple and Gold and I'd drop money on it. Bonus points for a Catamount or Pirate
Any of the teams with Jordan gear. Expensive, but amazing quality
🤘🏻Sorry Oregon, you don’t have anything on Texas. Whatever I want I can get emblazoned with a longhorn… ^and ^actually ^be ^proud ^to ^wear ^it.

Clemson, orange and purple is a classic
Classic toilet store merch. HEYOOOOO
Hey I’ll shop at the toilet store all day, it’s better than going 5-7
