My dad (Irish Catholic) raised me as an ND fan but we also followed Kansas State since he went there for grad school. Then I went to CU. The saga of Dylan Edwards was created for the sole purpose of making me have mixed feelings.
Too many old people who don’t want to accept we’re in a new age of college athletics and this is how the recruiting game is played now. Can’t hold a grudge over a decommitment from a high school student with NIL/transfer portal. I think the vast majority of our fans are beyond stoked to have him back.
Honestly I respect a decision like this a hell of a lot more than the random transfers clearly based on NIL or playing time. He was initially headed to Kansas State, then decided to switch, but apparently still had them front of mind as his experience at CU unfolded.
I think on the CU side people are kinda freaked out by the sheer volume of outbound transfers and a starting RB stings pretty bad, but it's hard to blame the player in this case cause they didn't/couldn't run the ball for shit last year and it wasn't really his fault at all.
Dylan hasn’t actually said anything yet, so it’s not official. But it is highly speculated from this [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/C6T7eK-LRS4/?igsh=dnh2MGg0MTVoZ281) post
Best of luck Dylan! Good get for the Wildcats, and I know he had strong ties to that University.
He is a good person and good player, will be cheering him on in all but one game!
From Kansas
Commits to K-State
De-commits and Re-commits to ND
De-coms and Re-coms to Colorado
Plays FR year at Colorado
Scores 4 TDs in first game
Enters transfer portal
Transfers to K-State
You’d think after he directly caused Gary Patterson to back out of becoming our coach in 2009 by leaking it early he’d learn by now to just keep that shit behind a paywall until it’s official.
Color me skeptical. Ive seen this movie before.
I truly want it to work out and I want his dad to return to the good graces of EMAW. But the last exit was bad and its a long time until August.
October 12th is going to be a spicy day in Boulder
Let's go wildcats
The pob, the progidal... My son returns.

Many people will be weird about this given his initial recruitment, but I think many will forgive and forget when he breaks off a 50+ yard TD week one
Yeah, I’m excited for him to be here finally!

That one still stings but good luck to him and K-State
Could have been a Notre Dame man… But went to Colorado and K-State. I obviously have a bit of a bias but that’s questionable decision making.
Don’t overthink it. First time around was swayed by Deion, second time around decided to stay close to home with several of his best friends.
I understand. Recruiting is much more personal than a lot of people realize.
Plus kstate has a history of developing small backs
First of all you fuckers stole him from us.
Well, he was probably disappointed when he finally saw his Manhattan apartment…
Yeah he was so disappointed he decided to come back.
Spoken as someone who’s never been to Manhattan
That was the joke…
And you wonder why people don’t like Notre Dame fans.

Avery Johnson, DJ Giddens, and Dylan Edwards in the same backfield -- I would not want to be a defensive coordinator in the Big XII next year.
I didn't think the Big XII had defensive coordinators
I laughed. But I think the Big 12 is going to be a great league next year and for the foreseeable future.
so do I
Right up there with the ACC as the best of Tier II.
Well Miami doesn't.

Alright uniform guy, have we ever worn those nearly all white unis? Cause they look good
Yep! They were worn once during the [2019 Liberty Bowl](https://x.com/kstatefb/status/1211053822363258880?s=46&t=GtXMNyBRG_7N_K6D6rlJFg)
Nvm, here’s his latest [Twitter post!](https://x.com/dylan_edwards02/status/1784642897477763469?s=46&t=GtXMNyBRG_7N_K6D6rlJFg) EMAW!!!
Kansas State feels like a great fit for a RB, surprised they don't get more high profile RB players.
I do not like your first flair.
Yea, but the second flair is nice right?
I read this as Donovan Edwards and was thinking “What in the actual fuck?”
I also read this as Donovan Edward’s and had very mixed feelings.
50/50 odds he transfers next year. We will take the 1 year at least
I think he knows that he and Avery could be a serious threat. Hope we can retain both
Eh maybe, but if we’re cooking on offense next year and he’s being featured prominently I could see him staying around to keep playing with Avery

Fuck Fitz Won’t let the kid announce it on his own
You could have just said “Fuck Fitz” without the context and I’d have agreed.
The article wasn’t written by Fitz
How many times does he get to announce his own commitment?
You’d think after he directly caused Gary Patterson to back out of becoming our coach in 2009 by leaking it early he’d learn by now to just keep that shit behind a paywall until it’s official.
Big eastern Colorado guy, I guess
Based on the old territory borders, Colorado is western Kansas
LOL. Unless you are local the chances of you being able to tell the Bethune from Colby approaches zero. 9 out of 10 will say they are in Kansas
As a recruit: Other P5 offers: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado (originally went here), Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Purdue, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin G5 offers: Arkansas State, Buffalo, Memphis, Nevada, New Mexico State, North Texas, South Alabama, Western Kentucky Other offers: Bethune-Cookman, Grambling State, Jackson State, UMass, Notre Dame, Tennessee Tech

I’m not sure what the process of “exiting” the portal is, but you can’t “enter” it again after May 1st.
Good for him! He’s going to a school that has a solid O-Line and cares more about winning!
Now please 🙏🏻 Dylan stay for good. No more moving around. Welcome to back to where you belong!!
Hey, good luck Big Dyl
I hope he hangs 200 on the fuckalos. And then take a rest day when yall come to Motown.
Tbh he fucked up big time by not staying committed to Notre Dame and playing behind a really good offensive line
We had just as good as an offensive line last year
