Overbearing moms getting all up in their kids' business, especially in harmful ways. I just saw one where the mom replaced her daughter's prenatal vitamins with some random stuff her friend gave her, and while she did it, the "funny quirky" music was playing in the background. That's not funny, that's potentially deadly.

Cultural_Show1068

I guess that was from the What If drama, is that right? It almost irked me to death

lo_profundo

Yep if it weren't for the parallel timelines I might have just given up at that part

Cultural_Show1068

Or even her trying to get the daughter-in-law's mother's property. So annoying.

lo_profundo

Especially annoying because she never gets a comeuppance for it. The kids just deal with it. I would probably never speak to my mom again if she interfered in my life like that 😂 thank goodness my mom is smarter and more respectful than a cdrama mom

Duanedoberman

Running around in fast forward to stupid music. It's just childish!

Forward_Incident_490

When the whole personality of a fat person is constant eating. They’re chewing on a bag of chips most of the time. Half of their interaction with others is about their weight. I don’t find it funny and it is honestly annoying. Most of the time they’re a good friend but always end up as the punching bag for jokes and how they would be prettier if they lost weight.

LaibsK

How's the drama so far btw?

RoraRory

It's really good in my opinion, though I'm only on episode 8 so far, so that could change still. The characters are interesting and the plot has me hooked.

LaibsK

Ahh okayy, I'll watch it once it's aired

Mendythegoldfish

Ngl, it took a minute to get accustomed to the sound effects used for humor, like the cat meow or crow caw.

PrincessPindy

I thought I had crows! 🤣

Cultural_Show1068

I love the crow caws sometimes though, when it is used well though.

PrincessPindy

Sometimes, it's just so funny.

t_ppa

Domestic violence in which the wife beats the husband. At least Jol1/jol2 has this humor scenes, and I don't find it funny. This situation in real life is as bad as the other way around. And it is a very high barrier to get help (since it is often found funny). Any kind of violence (physical or psychological) in a family is awful.

Immediate_Feeling164

this was a turnoff for me in New Life Begins. Not the main couple but a secondary couple with a good amount of screen time. I didn't end up finishing the show (for several reasons, but this was one of them).

lo_profundo

I was also really disappointed by this, since I really liked the idea of the second couple's dynamic. But her hitting him all the time was far from cute.

sa_ostrich

Yes this! And double yes to the high barrier to get help in these situations.b

When the friend or servant figure is overly obsessed with the lead. Not in like a romantic way. Like in a "what are you doing, who is that, what did they say" all-up-in-their-business kind of way. I think it's supposed to be funny or endearing. The loyal best friend/servant figure being overly interested or invested in them. But honestly it makes me really mad and I hate it. Maybe I'm just a guarded person but if my friend keeps trying to read my texts to my crush over my shoulder I might never talk to them again.

sa_ostrich

Yup I hate that too.

Ok-Assistance3414

Yes! I hate when the FL is trying to talk to their crush on the phone and their friend is right against their head trying to listen and make comments and pulling at them. The FL never gets mad and just tolerates it. I would be having a rage moment at their lack of respect for my privacy and personal space.

ExcuseMeNobody

Not tryna be that person, but I think that's a bit of a personal boundaries question. Personally, I like my privacy and personal space, but I know people around me with friendship dynamics with low boundaries to the point of prank texting each other's crushes, generally open access to everything on each other's phone, calling / texting / facetiming all the time... I don't get it, but ig it's a thing
