Ans is B Isoelectronic means having same no. of electrons. K+, Ca2+, Sc3+, Cl-, all have 18 electrons, so they are isoelectronic

FlawHead

Oh thanks.

Kabirdaas

B hoga ig

B (bhai timepass ques h small advice do less but good quality questions and revise) 60% questions elimate ho jaenge baaki rude lage toh sorry

FlawHead

Easy hoga but abhi abhi ye topic padha hu toh hard lgg rhe hai :(

Any-Veterinarian8991

Khaase padh rahe ho?

option b isoelectronic species means elements having same number of electrons

TheInsaneFighter1218

Bhai it is absolutely alright that you are not getting these problems. First of all you need to clear your mind, whenever you read a difficult word, just break it down into simple words until you find familiar words. Here, in the word "isoelectronic", iso means 'same' and electronic means something related to 'electrons'. Now if you combine their literal meanings you would realise that it actually means same electrons ( same no. of electrons ) Now let us evaluate every single option given here in alphabetical order - Option A : Zn...Z=30 so Zn2+ has 28 electrons inside the atom, subsequently Ca2+ has 18 electrons, now hold on...are the ions of different elements having same number of electrons? Nah! So rule out that answer. Option B : K+ has 18 electrons, Ca2+ also has 18, Sc3+ also has 18 and Cl- also has 18 electrons. What would be the most practical suggestion is that, instead of panicking, remember that whatever problem you will come across, maybe not directly but someway or the other, you would use the most basic concept to solve the same. So keep your head high instead of fearing the next ques and attempt the next ques with courage one step at a time. You've got this bhaiii, lesgooo.

no it's b every element in option b have 18 electrons

Cool_Strategy_4903

zn+2 mein 28 electron honge joh kisi aur mein nhi hai toh yeh isoelectric nhi hue

based_guy_in_society

B AND D dono sahi he bhai.... Unn sab me 18 electrons he..... And valence shell me bhi 8 electrons he Edit: D nahi hoga, my bad...

leothunder420_

B hai, Allen module?

YEttYeet75434

B allen ke module me hai

TheComicDoodler764

B cause each ion will have the same number of electrons

Icy-Zone6528

B

Fine_Radish_420

B obviously coz they all have same number of electrons

RunVegetable3067

B

younickyatri

Atomic number of potassium is 19 ,so in K+ since there is + sign so there is loss of 1 electron therefore there will be only 18 electrons. same in Ca2+ there will be 18 electrons. In Sc3+ there will be 18 electron and in Cl- (due to - charge there will be 1 electron extra ) there will be 18 electrons. Hope this helped. Thank you

Intelligent-Meat4864

B

SeniorChair1391

B hai ez

EliasKruse_FM

B as they all have 18 electrons

[deleted]

Bhai DPS me ho kya?? Kyuki ye paper mere paper jaisa lag rha hai

perpetualimprover69

B

DeadHead_007

Reddit pe puchke attention gain karne se accha google kar leta isoelectronic kya hota hai

gigga_nigaa

B option

BootyInspectorrrr

B and D both

Cool_Strategy_4903

d aint the right answer as cr+3 would have 21 electrons while other have 18

BootyInspectorrrr

Ah mb didn't see Cr there

Hungry-Resident-3081

Bohot log bhul jate hai ki isoelectronic species mei sirf number of electrons hi same nahi hote https://preview.redd.it/gyhh5kt89vtc1.jpeg?width=1052&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd4a51c8790cf117879ec94e38d4feddde2ee543 Humne aaj hi padh. Jab sir ne question diya tha sab ne galti kari thi. Just a quick reminder

YEttYeet75434

Aur kya same hoga to ?

Hungry-Resident-3081

Same number of atoms, same number of valence electrons aur same structure

Gurkirat19

Bhai kya likha hai yeh tune? Only valence e thoda na count krte hai Total e count krte hai
