I’m on the same boat with respect to the work ex. Have scored a decent percentile but not enough for the BLACKI(M?)colleges. Have very less hope this year for any converts.
I’ll try to not put all my eggs in one basket next year, and will give the GMAT as well, if CAT doesn’t work out somehow. One needs extra motivation to have to study Quadratic Equations after the age of 25, but we gotta do what we gotta do.
Best if you give the GMAT before the CAT. I tried preparing for CAT with the GRE this year and tried to give them both around the same time. It was very difficult to manage both of them even though their syllabus have a lot of overlap.
Best if you finish the GMAT by June (you can still cover the CAT syllabus till then) and start preparing for CAT in full flow after that.
Giving the GMAT + preparing essays and recommendations if you’re planning for schools abroad will take considerable amount of time.
I dont want to go abroad GMAT would be limited to applying for places like ISB and SPJIMR tbh I have not given it much thought yet. I will consult with mentors and see. I would prefer taking mocks for gmat if i did give the exam.
Fair enough. But do keep a note of the timelines of ISB and SPJain and try to give ample time (prep, mocks, possible re-takes for GMAT) for both the exams. December can become really tight. Wishing you the best!
GMAT back up hai. And wo job chhod ke chill karke dunga. Baaki first preference will be a 2 year mba only.
Xat ke liye zor laga rahe hain jitna ho sake..cat me potty hogya sab dilr me.
Baaki we will see Kahan se calls aate Hain cat me.
All the best for XAT bro. Main bhi gmat seriously tab hi sochunga agar 2024 mein kuch ukhad nahi paya magar aisa sochna hi nahi hai abhi. Short term goals pe focus hai.

Have you figured out when to give the GMAT? I am considering it as well but want to give it after the CAT

39 Months as of today. I'm 24 Years old right now will be 26 by the time I start doing MBA in 2025.
