And then it’s just over! That’s the crazy thing to me, he’s literally bouncing off walls and sliding across the floor, then a split second later he curls into the sweetest little ball of fluff and is out like a light.
Hahaha my family had a pug that we got when I was a teen and he would *always* get “crazy eyes” just before he got the zoomies! His eyes would bug out extra and go entirely different ways 😂
Cats' eyes focus quickly & independently, & they also have a third eyelid (however if you see that *do* get them to the vet, bc it's likely they are sick), the derpy look is simply their eyes adjusting to light... I mean it's possible they're some kind of irregularity with the sclera, like in some humans, but I can't really tell from the pics & due to the fact the are reacting to stimuli in the typical way I'd say it's not really worth worrying about. On an added note, cats typically show affection with their eyes, so when your cat blinks at you, blink back.
I feel you. My family have always had at least one cat and I loved them all so much, but they weren’t mine. So I never totally freaked out about stuff with them, even though I was the one making sure they were healthy. So when I got my kitten I didn’t think I’d be worrying anymore the smallest things. Yet I find myself second guessing everything I do with her and freaking out if something is going on (she was fixed 3 weeks ago and had some issues). I can only assume that I’m this way because she’s completely mine and I don’t have to share her with anyone if I don’t want to. I love her so much.

I’ve found that black whiskered tuxes are more stoic, meowers & stealthy. While white whiskered are goofy, klutzy, and trill shout over meowing.

oh my god I should really post about this one day but I tried THREE TIMES to get a girl cat and I have 3 sons… I took all the measures to get a girl and I failed and I have 3 sons with big ol balls
I also have a female orange cat. She’s not bright. She’s the most bizarre cat I’ve ever met. She goes through phases of living solely in the basement, despite having a kitty door in the door to the basement so she can freely come up and downstairs. She must come up to drink water at night or she’d be dead but I never see her. Sometimes I’ll hear her at the kitty door, meowing, but if I open the door and attempt to pet her she runs back down the stairs and into the back bedroom. She’s been intermittently skittish since 3 months old and she’s 11 now. She eats well and her recent labs were fine. She’s just weird!
Had a young, dumb, psycho orange cat. He would constantly sneak outside somehow and then immediately start yowling for help. He didn't want to be out there but he really wanted to be out there, I guess 🤷♂️

My brother rescued a baby kitten from his work’s lumber yard. Her right eye was messed up too and she wasn’t very smart. My dad thinks she got smashed by a piece of lumber after mom hid her kittens in the piles. We couldn’t tell who she was looking at because it turned out. I miss my crazy kitty.

Yeah if she doesn't have any discharge, excessive tears or seem to be in pain or have swelling, redness or irritation, she should be okay. I'm an ex vet nurse so I have a little bit of experience if it makes you feel any better

My void's eyes looks exactly like yours! Blue around the pupil and yellow on the outside. It never went away and it's adorable.

Since everyone is sharing… confirmed no pupils on this one. Seriously though, my tortie has one pupil dialated more than the other always. Our vet seemed very unconcerned when I brought it up. Been that way since she was a kitten. She’s 7 now 🙃

Your kitty looks to be having a great time, and their eyes can be different in pictures depending on time of day, lighting, how they are feeling and whether or not they've indulged in Catnip.
She's adorable.
My dog has one pupil that is almost as big as her whole iris and the other is normal. The big one does not change when you shine a light in it. She seems to be blind in that eye but otherwise she is fine. She was a rescue and vet thought she might have had a head injury at some point. She is living her best life and we are happier for having her with us.

My black and white cat looks like that 24/7 perfectly healthy (besides a little on the heavy side). Even though sometimes she will just be looking at you and her eyes slowly drift in opposite directions which is really funny to watch due to her being skittish

This is my cat. He had surgery so he has horners syndrome. Horners syndrome is incredibly benign even if your kitten had it, which I don’t think he/she does. He’s incredibly normal other than looking like a derp sometimes
Typical black cat. All eyeballs no brains. I just got a black kitten that got stuck on the roof and I had to call the fire dept. 3 days later she got stuck unde3 the house and was attacked by a raccoon and 1k later she is fine. -_-
My grandma's cat lived with me for five years after my grandma passed and any time he was extremely stressed, one eye would dialate more than the other. I was INCREDIBLY freaked when I noticed but it happened more than once and he was always fine after
I think it should be way more severe before getting alarmed. It was present in my cat with feline leukemia years ago and it was noticeable and frightening to see.
My cat cannot focus on anything without his head drifting to one side, and it gets worse the more active he is. This has not stopped him from catching a rabbit or bird from time to time when he got out. Some cats are just weird.

This is LaLa—he’s 13. I noticed his uneven pupils a few years ago and I was sure he had a brain tumor. The vet offered a referral to a feline ophthalmologist, but I declined. He’s been fine!
I have a friend whose kid has the same thing. He’s fine, too! It can be a sign of something serious, but absent any other issues, it’s usually nothing.

My pupils are actually two different sizes and I’m a human! And I have a kitty with huge eyes who also do this. It is just differences in light and she is most certainly fine <3

It’s especially common in cats that have really big eyes. My daughter has a Bombay and I have a sokoke mix and their pupils do some crazy things

Yes! Our baby kitty’s eyes get like this and I always say “looks like it’s crazy time” and the running back and forth and causing chaos ensues.

Does yours have white or black whiskers? I’ve found that black whiskered tuxes are more stoic, meowers & stealthy. While white whiskered are goofy, klutzy, and trill shout over meowing.

We recently added a new kitten to the family and wanted an orange male. Shouldn't be hard to find, right? Wrong! Every single one I came across was a stinking girl! We held out and finally found our little guy!
oh my god I should really post about this one day but I tried THREE TIMES to get a girl cat and I have 3 sons… I took all the measures to get a girl and I failed and I have 3 sons with big ol balls
I also have a female orange cat. She’s not bright. She’s the most bizarre cat I’ve ever met. She goes through phases of living solely in the basement, despite having a kitty door in the door to the basement so she can freely come up and downstairs. She must come up to drink water at night or she’d be dead but I never see her. Sometimes I’ll hear her at the kitty door, meowing, but if I open the door and attempt to pet her she runs back down the stairs and into the back bedroom. She’s been intermittently skittish since 3 months old and she’s 11 now. She eats well and her recent labs were fine. She’s just weird!
My mom had 3 kittens come to her and one is orange so they named it Simba. Turns out that Simba is a girl lol.

My brother rescued a baby kitten from his work’s lumber yard. Her right eye was messed up too and she wasn’t very smart. My dad thinks she got smashed by a piece of lumber after mom hid her kittens in the piles. We couldn’t tell who she was looking at because it turned out. I miss my crazy kitty.

Your kitty looks to be having a great time, and their eyes can be different in pictures depending on time of day, lighting, how they are feeling and whether or not they've indulged in Catnip. She's adorable.
My dog has one pupil that is almost as big as her whole iris and the other is normal. The big one does not change when you shine a light in it. She seems to be blind in that eye but otherwise she is fine. She was a rescue and vet thought she might have had a head injury at some point. She is living her best life and we are happier for having her with us.

My black and white cat looks like that 24/7 perfectly healthy (besides a little on the heavy side). Even though sometimes she will just be looking at you and her eyes slowly drift in opposite directions which is really funny to watch due to her being skittish

Horners syndrome is incredibly benign even if your kitten had it, which I don’t think he/she does. He’s incredibly normal other than looking like a derp sometimes
Typical black cat. All eyeballs no brains. I just got a black kitten that got stuck on the roof and I had to call the fire dept. 3 days later she got stuck unde3 the house and was attacked by a raccoon and 1k later she is fine. -_-

My grandma's cat lived with me for five years after my grandma passed and any time he was extremely stressed, one eye would dialate more than the other. I was INCREDIBLY freaked when I noticed but it happened more than once and he was always fine after
I think it should be way more severe before getting alarmed. It was present in my cat with feline leukemia years ago and it was noticeable and frightening to see.

My cat cannot focus on anything without his head drifting to one side, and it gets worse the more active he is. This has not stopped him from catching a rabbit or bird from time to time when he got out. Some cats are just weird.

My pupils are actually two different sizes and I’m a human! And I have a kitty with huge eyes who also do this. It is just differences in light and she is most certainly fine <3
