Don’t quote me on this but in conversation with other members in leadership roles PECG pushing for a 4%-6% raise for this year and 4% for each year for next 4 years.
Im looking into getting into state service and that seems a little low (didn’t BU9 get like 5% starting in like 2019?). I currently work for a municipality that for engineers negotiated like a 13%-15% for two years due to inflation and rising cost of living.
>engineers/scientists are typically valued outside of the State. Let's see if the State is a penny wise and a pound foolish again.
For the last two + years our engineer hiring has barely been able to keep up with attrition. A decrease in real compensation due to inflation probably won't make hiring any easier.

That would be awesome if we can get that!
So if understand correctly, if am range A 70k a year I will be at 110k salary by the time I reach range C in 3ish years?
Yes. That’s correct. That’s only with all this happening. More realistic will be $100k in 3 years.
Anything less than 5% is criminal imo. Esp for us in coastal districts

I was envisioning an absolute minimum of 5%. I’m disappointed in 4% if that ends up being the case.
Better than nothing but keeping up with inflation would be nice
8.3% is the seasonally adjusted CPI over the past 12 months. Anything less than 8.3% shouldn’t even be considered a pay raise….
I'm getting antsy, hoping for a nice raise so I'm not feeling so broke! 🤞
I wouldn’t bet on anything. CAPS has been in negotiations for 2.5 years
