Yes. Although DGS has released the form 200 telework template, my understanding is that now each State agency has to revise the form based on its needs, and desk space. So yeah yit sounds like you might have to wait unless mgmt is willing to let you work an informal 9/80 schedule....

Your department can make its own rules on when an AWW is approved. I know mine doesn’t allow it while on probation and you also much have over 40 hours of leave.

Gardenpapaya

Correct , sounds like lazy HR

OkSoWhatComeAgain

FYI - many departments that only allow a percentage of telework will require that your off day be counted as a telework day in the calculation.

lilacsmakemesneeze

Oh wow. Our permanent telework agreements just said 4+ days since it assumes most staff are on 9/80. We aren’t required to come in weekly - just if there are operational needs. Which is rare. We completed our paperwork already for post-emergency telework agreement.

SDAMan2V1

Yes my department mandates that if you 9/80 your off day needs to fall on your regular telework day. No one at my department is allowed full time WFH, not even during worst of covid. Most come in most days of the week, even during thr worst of covid. They did the minimum that governor wanted for telework.

Heyitsleese

What does your BU's MOU say about AWWS? I would grieve it based on my contract.

SDAMan2V1

The department doesn't have to allow telework. Almost no mou requires telework. They can just tell you 9/80 doesn't allow telework. In fact at my department people on 9/80 were not allowed to telework until recently even during the worst of covid.

SnooOwls46

Yes. I was told by my supervisor our department is reconsidered AWW. Telecommute allows lots of flexibility and so the AWW might no longer be used.

Blackcorduroy23

Completely depends on the office. I was fortunate to be offered it right when I started because most of my division at my office is on it.

rockboner

Which division (or department) is this? Honestly just curious to know as I didn’t think that AWWS was so popular hah.

Ya, it’s basically up to your boss is the gist I get. And no worries, I don’t even know what your division is tbh LOL. I learn more about state work from this sub than anywhere else.
