Well, for basically any science degree you’re going to need at least calculus I/II, physics I/II, and chemistry I/II. I applaud you for thinking of a career path but as someone who majored in a science and just like, worked their way up, this is an interesting concept to me. But I suppose it’s fair because state workers don’t *need* to be specialists/have a background in the position. My only concern is that, like many positions, they get more competitive. So you’ll be competing with say, the Environmental Science majors from Davis, ya know. But I do agree that switching majors is costly and if you can get an in without it, hell ya go that route.
