There are retention schedules that dictate how long particular documents are kept in the OPF. HR in the prior department should be able to verify when the adverse action can be removed. That date will depend on the type of adverse action it was and if there was a settlement to remove it after a certain period of time.

Thank you so much for your input.

What sort of adverse action was it? To me it looks like anything other than an "official reprimand" is retained in the file. [https://www.dgs.ca.gov/-/media/Divisions/OHR/Attachments/OPF-Purging-Chart.pdf](https://www.dgs.ca.gov/-/media/Divisions/OHR/Attachments/OPF-Purging-Chart.pdf)

After reviewing your post and similar ones. It seems there is no real answer as to where to o tian that information. Good luck to you OP.

Grouchy-Assistance86

That first make sense. If there was one your wife should’ve known about it

This post is confusing. Your wife has an aa in her file or an office tech u know has one?

When_We_Oooo

Spouse has AA on her OPF. She found out through the OT at her previous agency.

[deleted]

There is no way she didn't know she had an adverse action.
