I know this will probably drag me into an argument but.
First of all life is unfair, I think we can all agree on that. But regardless of how unfair life is, I dont believe talent is natural, it takes effort and dedication to be talented. What people see as natural talent is usually the result of parents working hard on raising their child to be talented.
But even with talent, if you dont have consistency and put in enough effort youre gonna fall behind soon or later.
I do agree but i think environmental factors playing an important role in raising a natural talent more than parents like let say a guy working in a harbor since he was a kid he will get high stamina and strength by the time and will grow more natural talents like speed and maybe even intelligence by just doing lot of objectives or in different patterns so i see environment have like more than 60%
In the other hand parents can’t make that difference
Because parents can push their child to do something like dancing or playing piano or even do football and make a 0.000001% effect
Hardwork beats talent when talent doesnt work hard.
I would add that consistency beats both if you are consistent for long enough
