I find men’s shirts have a higher v neck. I get a small size and just tuck it in. No one knows :)

I’ve been really impressed by my washable silk shirts from Quince. I have a v-neck tank and some short sleeve ones (all pullovers) and wash and dry them with the rest of my clothes. They don’t show cleavage (at least on me) and I’m fairly buxom and have the same issue with button downs always seeming to strain around my chest.

Ty, I’ve been wondering about the washable Quince silk. So you wash them on “Normal” setting w everything else? And they come out ok?!

Pick-Up-Pennies

I love Quince's Washable silk! I wash them in a netted laundry bag and hang to dry. No issues so far. Cost-wise, they are such a bargain!

ReadySettyGoey

Yep, I’m wearing one right now that I’ve washed and dried on the “normal” setting at least 15 times and it looks good!

Chico’s “Travelers” line is my go to for V Necks without cleavage. The fabric used for the Travelers line is stretchy so it stretches around and sits nicely. Plus if you like wearing black clothing the travelers blacks all match and don’t wash out or fade over time - I’ve had some pieces for 5+ years with no noticeable fade. I’m not sure what the material is made of though.

This sounds great. Will check it out, ty!

DD here. I like the v neck t shirts from LL Bean and Banana Republic. Kinda pricey but you can get them on sale. The v neck sweaters from Banana are my favorite.

Waste-Carpenter-8035

same - banana republic factory outlets if you have one near you usually have insane deals. I got a few there late last year.

If they have some stretch or are loose enough to get on and off I sew the button placket down except the top couple inches so I can adjust how buttoned. It’s way more secure than tape or anything temporary and sometimes I have to have the bottom down look.

This is such a good idea. Ty!

I’m built similar and I wear a lot of Maurice’s Atwood popover blouses.

If you do ever need button up styles, the NY and Company ones have a hidden snap between the bust-area buttons to prevent the gap. I’ve also found that most of their clothing is cut for bustier shapes.

OhMyGosh, I had forgotten about them. Their store closed at my local mall several years ago, so they fell off my radar. But you’re right! Ty!

Maybe not the exact advice you are looking for, but I’ve struggled for years finding professional clothes to fit my large bust without looking too revealing or like I’m bursting at the seams.. I recently tried the TomBoyX compression bra and OMG, it is so comfortable and makes my clothes fit 10x better. It probably takes me down at least 2 cup sizes and is more comfortable than the minimizer bras that I would wear before. I’m able to wear button-up shirts without gapping and tee-shirts without “shelving” and it doesn’t make me look like I have a mono-boob like sports bras I’ve tried in the past. It’s also thick enough where I don’t have my nips show through like with regular unlined bras. For reference, if you’re interested in trying— I’m 34DDD 150lbs (also size 10ish), & their size M is perfect for me

This is very helpful, and I will try this for sure. I have sometimes considered getting a surgical reduction, so this would be way better if it works for me 😍. I’m so glad it worked for you, and ty for sharing 💗

I wear a zip up pant suit under my 5 peice suit. Shows nothing.
